Later this afternoon my Facebook social counter was reading 0. I went through all the forums and tried everything that was recommended. I tried changing FB id’s then changed back, deleting plugin and manually installing the latest plugin, reinstalling the whole them and even even tried deleting my cache plugin all with no results. I found out on the Newsmag forum that a lot of people over there are having the same issue so I am thinking it must be something in the code in the Social Counter plugin as I would assume they are both the same plugin.

Same here! I have tried deleting plugin and manual reinstalling and even deleting my cache plugin and reinstalling. Tried adding envato as FB id and still reading 0.

After the change of the server/hosting
the photos uploaded and shared to FB are not showing
the back up (copy) ha been performed correctly
Yesterday the Newsmag was updated to 2.3.1 version
with plugins such as Visual Composer / Yoast Seo etc
Debuger of FB doesnt help
one post is working fine but the next one is not
Older posts lost all the photos
i would like to add that all phots are always 200 by 200 pixels
recommended plugin
Yoast Seo was installed previously and worked fine
it is installed now but doesnt help

after updating to version 6.5.1, the google pagespeed is now at 57/100.
Before it was at 78/100.
Doesn’t matter which plugin for speedoptimization i use, the speed stays at 57/100.
Of course i tried thetagdiv speed plugin, but this doesn’t work. In the System status of newspaper theme, it says it’s incompatible with every other plugins i have installed.
I already uninstalled wp super cache and the speed stays at 57/100.
Don’t know what to do?
I installed the extension, but the current version does not appear.
After a lot of search I couldn’t find a straight answer for this problem.
I’m getting the following error: bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly $wp->init().
This is a problem with BUDSYPRESS and the THEME. Not BBPRESS (not installed)
I DISABLED ALL my plugins except BUDDYPRESS and the LOG show that problem. Then I changed to “Twenty Fourteen” theme and the problem was gone. This only points to a problem with the THEME. Can you guide me on how to fix this?!

I’ve also replied you via email on this and checked your site there and didn’t see the problem you initially reported and I wasn’t aware of your posts here so it my reply was a bit off of this topic.
At this point I’m not aware why this occurred however concerning theme altering the .htaccess file I can tell you that it doesn’t so this may happened due to a plugin you use. I see you lots of plugins and among them you have the Easy Updates Manager one which I believe it’s responsible for auto updates. We haven’t tested this plugin with the theme so I’m not aware if its functionality and it may be possible not to work well with the theme and generate issues. In this scope we have tested and provided the solution to use the Envato Toolkit plugin to manage theme’s auto updates, you can find a guide on this here: http://screencast.com/t/EZ0YVDIo – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ ( this is made for the newspaper theme but the update process works in the same manner for newsmag theme also).

If you decide to update it, considering all customization you now have we advise you to do a full backup of your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and also consider the steps I’ve provide below:
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services

I have just noticed that Big Grid is not working on my website (sportscourant.com). The only change that has happened to our site installation of Soccer Engine plugin to display certain soccer widgets.
With plugin active
1. Big Grid does not work. Latest Posts are not shown and shows only 3 posts instead of five.
2. Images stop loading on homepage as well as post pages
With Plugin Deactivated (not uninstalled)
1. No change in Big Grid behaviour
2. Images start loading
Any help?

Please try to disable all the plugins and reinstall that comes with the theme and not other ones. After this, check if your problem is still there….it can be a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there, please let me know and also provide a URL site so can inspect it closer.

Hi! I want to update my installation from 4 to 6. Is it possible to make a test install in a sort of beta directory on the server. Copy all files to that folder and update the theme there… and then when all problems are fixed move everything to the original folder?
Or will this give problems with the database?

I recently updated the site, my visual composer plugin is installed and activated, however when I go to edit a page i can now only view the text editor. When I click on visal nothing happens, and the visual composer editor is gone.
My site still looks the same I just cannot edit it.

That message appear because you’re using an outdated version of Social Counter. Try to delete the old version of the plugin and install the new one included in theme’s path (/plugins folder)
When you update the theme we always recommend to update the plugins included in theme’s path.

Before use this plugin, i suggest to clear all active plugin except visual composer because maybe cause an conflict.
