How can I install the latest version of WP Baker?? Its not the latest version in Newspaper download. My site behaves bad – the categories dont show up att start page and in the menu. Have had this problem for two weeks at least.
Hi, we installed a plugin that makes us enter one shortcode to generate a skin background adv. The links that have bound is not read. Here it says that it depends on a different body tag -> http://wordpress-advertising.com/faqs/link-background-ads-not-working/
I need to put?
Here is a page with background adv submitted (again with broken link) -> http://overpress.it/calcio/
Thanks
Also post->post_excerpt works for default loop-single.php.
So:
loop-single.php Y
loop-single-1.php Y
loop-single-2.php N
loop-single-3.php N
loop-single-4.php N
loop-single-5.php N
loop-single-6.php N
loop-single-7.php Y
loop-single-8.php Y
I feel like there is something wrong with the installation. As I mentioned when I delete “loop-single.php” everything still works! And I know it shouldn’t right?

Try disabling your cache; try disabling all plugins except visual composer.
Try switching back to twenty-fifteen theme see if you can save posts.
Check to make sure you re-save permalinks; check to make sure your dbase is not overloaded, or if you have exceeded the storage space on your account, etc.
Try optimizing your WP database.
Try saving a draft post; then make sure you see the “post saved” message at top; then go to your “all posts” and see if there (be sure to make note of proper date setting on your post that you’re not saving it into the past where it would be buried on the index).
That would be my suggestion.
Worst case, reinstall theme and see if problem persists.
Hey Guys,
I just installed Newspaper and bbPress. I’m trying to figure out which widget to use for the login system. (bbPress) Login Widget or [TagDiv] Login Form? Logins are mainly for bbPress, but I’ll say, I like the compact look of the TagDiv login links much more.
One problem: the TagDiv login form doesn’t appear to support “Lost Password” or “Register New Users?”
Help!
Hi,
Not sure how that happens. Could you please try to remove and reinstall the VC plugin and make sure you install the latest version from the full theme /plugins folder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Let us know how it goes and also make sure that you empty all caches and purge files if you use CDN host.
Thanks
Hi,
The best solution is to make a fresh install like Christopher suggested via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Christopher’ sticky guide can help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-guide-to-moving-from-newspaper-to-newsmag/
Thanks!
The URL link function in Visual Composer elements is broken since most recent updates. The Select URL dialog opens as normal, but after selecting URL and closing, the URL is not saved. I have Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer installed, but the problem is also pervasive in all standard VC elements (e.g., buttons).
I’ve tried all of the usual steps… Deactivated all other plugins; made sure I have the latest version of Newsmag; reinstalled your latest version of Visual Composer; cleared cache… all to no avail. The problem persists even with only Newsmag and Visual Composer activated.
What to do?
(to clarify my above comment; testing the shim on one site which doesn’t have VC installed on the DOMAIN at all)

Hi … not to let cat out of bag, but working with RADU “beta testing” a light version of VC, basically what he’s calling a “Shim” — and it’s right now being tested with my CaliforniaNewswire.com site (which does *not* have VC installed, and it’s NOT on the server).
See my other topic on “1.71 crashed our site again” … if curious. 🙂
Hi,
I have checked your site and you have these errors in console: http://screencast.com/t/YzEGPI7ql3aG
Please do a fresh theme installation using this guide via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and also update the plugins that come with theme’s files from /plugins folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Also check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if you still have this issue with infinite scroll.
Thanks!
As a general rule, “most” SEO folk (including Joost over at Yoast, not that he’s always correct on things, I might add.. I can point to articles where he hands out advice and then Google guidelines the next day point out the fallacy of that advice …) … now only put in the robots.txt file couple of things
a) link to sitemap *if* a static site; not needed with WordPress unless you’re using something with static sitemap in your root and you want to ‘hint’ that — Google prefers you to submit via webmaster tools, as does Bing, Yandex, etc.
b) block anything you might have such as legacy /cgi-bin/ in root, or something like a /cache/ folder in root, or something like the duplicator plugin, /duplicator/
You should NOT block anything related to WordPress anymore in your robots.txt file, for best performance.
Some OLD server-installed copies of WP put a whole robots.txt blocking list, and I think that is what you’re running into now.
Fact is, you can pretty much empty your robots.txt file unless you know what you’re doing with that 🙂
Hi,
from what I’ve been told, you can install more than one on the SAME domain, as long as it’s YOUR site and not building out client sites on sub-domains to sell.
So I think you’re fine.
I went through this with wanting to use theme for ecommerce on our main site *and* for our blog (main part of site not running WP), with Newspaper.
Hope that helped (I don’t work here, just feedback from my own experience).
Hi,
I have checked your site and noticed that a class required class is missing form your html structure: http://screencast.com/t/vCMiaV76
The row-fluid class you have in you html structure should be replaced with the td-pb-row class here: http://screencast.com/t/i1uJlmpEa
Try to re-install the theme and to do it connect via FTP remove theme’s folder then upload the theme’s files (don’t overwrite it). Use this guide – FTP method – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Also make sure you do a backup of your current installation in case something goes wrong.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello,
We updated from 4.6.1 but this issue began beforehand. Now our version is 4.6.3. We thought the update would solve it but didn’t.
We weren’t using Visual Composer before and everything was okay. Then, we needed to add a custom ad, and installed Visual Composer (4.4.4) for that reason. I guess this problem started right afterwards.
Now even if we enable Visual Composer, blocks don’t align correctly.
Thanks!
Hi,
Firstly great theme, love it!, i know very little about html coding and am finding wordpress and this theme very user friendly.
I have a couple of issues with my site im trying to work through maybe someone can help.
1) Social Buttons work in the TagDiv widget with FB/YT/Twitter when i enter the details there but for the top menu and bottom menu they dont work, i added the same info into the ‘Social Networks’ tab as i had for widget fields and it just take me to my website… eg for youtube i put channel/XXXXXX into the field, then when i click it goes to http://www.website.com/channel/XXXXXX instead of youtube. Am i making a mistake with the format?
2) Ad code, i made 2 types of ads in my adsense account, a 728 x 90 for the top banner and a ‘responsive’ ad for the sidebar (i figured these sound about right). I copied the code for the 728×90 one into the header adcode section and the responsive adcode into the sidebar section of themepanel>ads and saved but when i view my website there is no ads. Am i missing something here?.
3) Caching – is it better to disable W3 total cache while working on the site so i can see the changes reflected quickly live?, im finding in mozilla with ad blocker im having to use another browser to check what my updates look like and it behaves unpredictably (sometimes shows updates, sometimes not). When i did disable adblocker for my site page only all sorts of malware appeared on my computer subsequently i installed bitdefender and malwarebyte seems to have sorted it.
p.s im a newbie to all this stuff but trying hard and enjoying your theme and this learning curve alot 🙂
my website is http://tabletopminis.com (its still in early development)
Hi,
I’m preparing to install DFP on Newspaper. I’ve run a test with a single ad unit that worked, but still may not be set up correctly. I’ve searched the forums on this subject, but still can’t seem to find a definitive set of instructions on setting this up correctly.
So, I have a few questions:
1) Is there a definitive instruction guide that I’ve missed? This would be ideal of course. I don’t need help setting up DFP, etc. Just knowing the best practice for installing the header code and body code into Newspaper / NewsMag.
2) If not, then can you confirm that this is the proper way to install DFP ad code in Newspaper?
A – Insert Header code into a plugin (like “Insert Headers & Footers) which will include it in the header code of every page.
B – Insert the matching body code into the desired ad unit within the Newspaper Ads System, replacing the previous Adsense code.
C – Repeat for each DFP Ad Unit
Is this it, or am I missing some critical added step?
3) I conducted my test similar to the process described in question 2 above, except I used a text widget in the Homepage sidebar for the body code. It seemed to work, but also seems to have caused some problems with the slider on the Homepage. At times the slider appears half-loaded – typically when I have made a change to the ad order on DFP. Are Newspaper and NewsMag compatible with DFP?
4) Is there a plugin that will let you insert headers and footers and ALSO specify them for individual pages (i.e. I have ads units for the home page that aren’t on other pages).
Thanks in advance for your help, TagDiv!
Hello I am having this same issue, I just purchased the theme newspaper4, as it came with my existing site, and reinstalled it. I have all Plugins turned off, but I can not save any data, can not save any of the ad code that was in there, :http://screencast.com/t/KgeCe5ppOOx
the save image just stays there, no saving.
any help please.
Hi,
We recommend you update the theme to the latest version as the latest update has fixes related to the security vulnerability recently announced on themeforest: https://blog.sucuri.net/2015/04/security-advisory-xss-vulnerability-affecting-multiple-wordpress-plugins.html
First make sure you backup your current theme and wp install then update the theme by uploading the theme files via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Use this guide and the introductions provided there to make sure you do this right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-guide-to-moving-from-newspaper-to-newsmag/
After doing this update the child theme. First make a backup of it then update it then copy the customized files.
Please note that if you have changes made to modified theme files, you need to adjust your customization to theme’s code.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hello, Google seems to have some problems getting titles for my content properly. The message marked with italics is shown in the News Section of the webmaster Tools for the front page of my blog, but https://majestic.com/reports/site-explorer?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.idevice.ro%2F&oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.idevice.ro%2F&IndexDataSource=F has the same issue finding it.
Your page is not eligible to appear in Google News because the title is invalid or could not be found.
Although Google says it’s marked ok, looking at Google Analytics I get lots of pages with errors stating the (not set) tag for titles.
Is there any way to fix this? The issue is long standing, even since I installed the theme a few months ago. I am using All in One SEO with the blog,
Hi,
The WPBakery team asked for some details, i passed the question to the user which provided access to it’s install but i didn’t get a reply so the the investigation got stuck. We’re also working on an alternative, we’ll come with an announcement in the following weeks.
Thank you, Emil G.
Thank you for the responses. I believe Chris had it right when he wrote that it’s likely a plugin conflict but actually in this case, it was a conflict with a previously installed theme. I tried to delete it but there are certain features that still carried over and were causing issues. I’ve re-installed the theme on a clean WP install and everything seems to work. Thank you so much for looking into this with me! 🙂
I think I figured it out! I had to do a clean install, and now it seems to be working. Thanks!
Hello,
I have installed and activated the theme. Installed the plugins and installed the demo data. But it is not like the demo version:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I want it as the demo version for better understanding how everything works etc…
How can I get it like the demo version, url is http://www.1energie.nl/nieuws
Hi,
1. Just the one form the wp-content > plugins folder and please always make sure you backup your WordPress and theme install: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
2. Yes, best would be to disable all plugins, then delete the Visual Composer plugin and install within theme files > /plugins folder. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
3. If you don’t use any cache plugins then go ahead without concerning this aspect.
4. 1. Edit your wp-config.php file and enter something like:
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');
WordPress memory can be different to the server – you need to set this regardless of server memory settings
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
2. If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
If your line shows 32M try 64M:
memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (64MB)
3. If you don’t have access to PHP.ini try adding this to an .htaccess file:
php_value memory_limit 64M
4. If none of the above works then talk to your host.
Thanks
