We have updated the theme, and included the latest version of Visual composer (5.4.4) There should be no further issues with the paragraphs. You can check and see if that is the case.
Previously Visual composer could be installed from the theme plugins section. Since Newspaper 8 it is no longer a required plugin, the tagDiv composer is the main page builder. This composer will receive many options in the coming updates, created specially for it.

im trying to update my newspaper theme, im using the automatic, ive installed envato market, added the token and item(newspaper).. after everything i tried to click the update theme button and its not clicking at all..its not updating.. its not even loading nor making any move

I tried installing the theme after it was updated today. I am unable to install the same after wordpress was updated to 4.9 and in the error log it shows error with the line 140 in the function.php

after update to the newest visual composer version (Newsmag 4.1) the visual composer is displayed as “WPBakery Page Builder” in plugin-page and the dashboard-sidebar. But the page builder was never installed before …strange.

Hello,
I’ve updated my wordpress installation from 4.82 to 4.9. After that I’ve updated the Newsmag-Theme to 4.1.
Now, there is a big problem:
The pictures in the article are always displayed in full size. But I have defined the images in middle size.
After downgrade to wordpress version 4.8.2 it works finde with Newsmag 4.1. The issue is only on wordpress version 4.9

This is not needed as you can install the latest version directly. The files have been changed drastically since 7.8.1 and if customization is your key point in updating like this, the end result will still be the same. The best way is to replace all files and re-make your customization.

That is an absolute b*****t response.After reading your reply I began trying to recompose a page and thought – well just check the settings for Visual Composer. Bugger me there is now NO Visual Composer installed, The recent update appears to have thrown it out. Worse in the Newspaper Plug In section Visual Composer is now listed as Optional – but wait for this – there is no facility to install the Visual Composer Plug In. What is going on.
Hmm well – I found another download – “Download all the files” instead of “Just install files” – and there it was! =D

I have used the guuide. In the folder plugin there is no TD-Mobiel.zip. The file is not included in the folder.
Ive installed Composer and it worked fine – becouse the plugin file was included.
It seems to be OK at first, but after editing text and then re-updating the page, the issue occurs.
I did try deactivating all plugins. The only plugins enabled are now:
- tagDiv Composer (v1.0)
- tagDiv Social Counter (v4.2)
- WPBakery Page Builder (v5.4.3)
I also had a child theme installed (that was provided). So I am not longer using that, but the issue still exists.

Note, a Raw HTML element seems to keep the <br> tag, but the Text element doesn’t seem to keep and line breaks.
I am trying to install WP PRO Advertising System or Ads Pro Plugin to manage the advertising areas based on clicks to provide the clients with its statistics. I know Newspaper theme has a section for Ads, but does it offer me this option and if no, did you try these plugins?

That is not an error, it is mentioning that the !important tag is used, as well as an overqualified element. Nothing to worry about.
However the code should work properly. If it is not applying and there is no effect after entering it, it could be caching.
Clear all installed cache after adding the code in the theme panel.

This is a strange issue. Please create a sub-domain and a fresh install of wp and the theme and see if the same happens on the testing domain. I suspect a server configuration issue.

If you cannot install plugins directly it could be a memory allocation issue. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Please also test the tagdiv composer on a brand new page, not on existing ones that were built by other page builders. The tagdiv composer will not recognize shortcodes from other page builders and will provide errors if they are found.

You cannot hide just the demo installs. You can hide the theme panel as a whole if you make your roles a subscriber or editor, author or contributor dpending on the permissions you would like the user to have.

After numerous hours of troubleshooting this WP Super Cache error, I have resolved to post an inquiry on this forum. Any information you can provide is sincerely appreciated. The WP Super Cache plugin was operating well earlier, but after a while, an error appeared stating “Warning! Could not update /var/www/html/wp-config.php! WPCACHEHOME must be set in config file.” in addition to another message stating “Warning! /var/www/html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php does not exist or cannot be updated.” I have tried to reinstall the plugin, modify the wp-config.php file and the advanced-cache.php file as well as change the file permissions of the wp-content file, but have not had any success. When modifying the advanced-cache.php file both messages disappear but a message stating the WP_Cache needs to be set to true on the wp-config.php file then appears and when I set the wp cache to true in the wp-config.php file I receive an HTTP 500 error and have to remove this setting in the wp-config.php file. So, does anyone happen to have any advice on this situation?

I recently installed mobile plugin. From then the selected smart list for a post is not being reflected on mobile site. Instead it is being replaced by “smart list 7 ” on mobile site.
All good with smart list when seen on a computer. But the same smart list is being replaced by smart list 7 by default on mobile. Please help.

Bogdan, after becoming so frustrated, I uninstalled the theme and installed another (Photography). I discovered that it was happening on that theme as well. I just now realized that the problem has to do with the Thumbs on Modules/Blocks section. If and when I turn on the retina button for Block 24, the image enlarges to the extent that it is indecipherable. Turning off the retina button corrects that problem. I have all of the other retina buttons turned on for all modules/blocks and the images are at the correct scale in all instances.
Whew! I’m glad that I solved my own challenge here…it was driving me crazy.

Hi again, the problem seems to have been solved (by itself ?) after numerous attempts. However, I can’t install any plugins directly from my WP dashboard and need to add them manually via FTP.
Lastly, when I try to work on my Home page via tagdiv composer and save my last changes, it says “invalid page format”.
What’s wrong ?!
