Hello 21newsjoy,
Sorry for this but please notice that the recommended way of theme installing is to do it via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Do it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Please download the theme package again as it has been fixed. Install the theme again using the package you download now from envato
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure you have updated the Woocommerce plugin as well. Try using the page installer again to recreate the pages
– https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pages/
Check the official documentation of Woocommerce for more useful information
– https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/
Thanks
Hi,
That may be related to caching. If settings in theme panel or back-end are not displayed on the front-end then that is probably the cause. If you have caching try making a modification again, then clear any installed cache. That should refresh the website imediately.
Thanks
Hi,
Maybe the theme did not update properly. Please try and reinstall the theme by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Then deactivate all plugins except theme plugins. If a child theme is used, switch to the main theme. Do not add any custom code to the theme files, or modify it in any way. Then check if the post settings work properly.
If the problem is still there please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information so we can take a look.
Also paste a link to this topic in your email.
Thanks
We use DUPLICATOR plugin to move stuff.
Also, there is tutorial in the WordPress.org codex on how to install a copy of WP into a folder like /mysite/newinstall/ to do clean install, then when done copy index.php to root, to serve the new clean site from the /newfolder/ …
After some problems with a sneaky redirect infection. We are trying to rebuild on a fresh install in a different directory. I already move a lot into the database from the old but nothing is showing yet.
Anybody have any tips or check list?
If plugins are ‘vanishing’ from your site, that is a very serious issue unrelated to theme or plug by TagDiv — stuff should never “automatically remove itself” from your install if you have the system setup correctly.
Note that TDC is new plugin; VC is old classic one. To keep using VC, install that and disable TD Composer. To switch to TDC in place of VC, you will need to redo your home page layout with the TD Composer in place of VC as the modules are different.
Sorry if that is no help; I don’t work here, but using Newsmag since 1.0.
So after reinstalling td-composer my whole site is crashed right now 🙁
This is how it looked before:

This is how it looks now:

i tried to reimport the database which i backed up 1 hour ago but it won’t work, my site is still broke.

I have the same problem over here… what can i do to fix this? I installed it for many times now but sometimes it just gone and my site doesn’t work anymore.

Hi I installed 8.1 after that my mobile version menu and search bar not working , I use td mobile theme pulgin my site globalnews99.com plz check it
I know I can add a video player as a widget, but I’d like to add a video playlist. I don’t want to have to install Visual Composer just for this one thing – seems a bit pointless.
Main tricks
1) limit queries ‘per page’ – use maximum of 3 “module elements” per post/page
2) don’t use mega menu with posts
3) use PHP 5.6 and up with opcache ‘on’
4) optimize WP with things like explicit URLs in wp-config.php file
5) to mitigate hacker/bot overloads
— > disable XMLRPC
— > install ‘limit login attempts’ plugin
This helps a *lot* (!).
Hi,
Make a backup to your database just to be safe. Please update the theme by FTP like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Update the included plugins as well. Please note that much has changed from that version in the theme and Visual composer. In Newspaper 8 the tagDiv composer as introduced as well.
I believe it would be best to try and recreate the pages with the new tagDiv composer if possible after the update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Custom codes or the same modifications may not work in the new theme. The child theme too, if there is one. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins except theme plugins to rule out any conflicts.
Check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks
Hello,
Please disable all plugins and clear cache. Then test the menus again. If everything is still haywire, please switch to a wp default theme. If the problems go away, it means you should reinstall your theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/
Please let us know how it goes
Thanks.
Hi,
Our customer website was hacked. He didn’t update the website since some years and now after the attack, he is in a hurry to update. We try to make the web update from an old backup, but we have problems to go from version 4.5a to the current one. Some shortcodes like a blocks fail. Now we have wp 4.8.1 and last js_composer. If we install td_social counter plug it fails too.
Can you help us please… We can’t publish the website with this version, since it is vulnerable.
Thx a lot,
Hello bokitchan,
Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. Before this, try making a full backup to your database.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
There was a problem with the mobile theme functionality in the theme update, please download the theme package again and install it. Check this topic for more information as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-tabs-not-loading/
If the problem remains please provide a link to your website if possible, so we can inspect it.
Thanks
Hello,
The font is found in the fonts section of the theme panel: https://www.screencast.com/t/3MSJ4gaoXB
It also depends on the demo you have installed. Please compare your grid with one on the demo you use. Do not compare it to the default demo if you use any other one.
Thank you
Hello,
Please update your theme again. Download the theme again and install the version that is available now for download. (the theme version is still 8.1 but the package has been updated and the issue fixed)
Thank you!
Hi,
Make sure you configured the counter according to the guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Then try clearing any caching you have installed, also check if there is server side caching. Usually that is the reason for the data to not display properly.
Thanks
Hello emceenetwork,
1)Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Please do not use this setting in Seo by Yoast:
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
2)Also, the third important rule is to do not edit a page which was created with Visual Composer with TD Composer.
Also, I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues like this.
Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello mitsus,
First of all, ensure that you have installed the latest theme version and make sure if you are using only the tested and required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello najarfermin,
The simplest way, in this case, is trying to make a new fresh install from scratch via FTP way after you made a full backup to your database and check the results.
Thanks for your message!
