The child theme is not related to the demos. It can be installed and used when you think it is necessary to use one. It is provided in the main theme package

So use one only if you plan to make consistent modifications of the theme. Other than that you can use the custom code sections in the theme panel for minor customization.
Installing a demo will import the demo content, theme panel settings and custom demo design.

Most likely, all of these errors happened due to a bad theme installing. My advice is to make a new fresh install to another sub-domain, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare and check the results. Regarding on feature video, make sure that you have correctly added the Video according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/ I have made some tests on my side with this demo and everything seems to work as expected.

Make sure that your old version of Visual Composer has been removed and then you should follow these steps. Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch to another sub-domain via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge all CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare and check the results. Please notice that our importing system of demo content should works as expected, without any problems. Notice that the theme will load all of your old posts from the database and if you will check to import the demo with content you will bring the dummy data on your website. Uninstalling or switching the demos will remove all the demo related elements, of the previously installed demo. It will remove imported theme panel settings, custom design and dummy content. This is mentioned here in the documentation

Only one demo can be installed at a time, there are no options to mix demos or have multiple demos installed at the same time.

Only one demo can be active at a time. If you have installed the Gadgets demo, installing a different demo will uninstall the current one. If you are interested in the Smart app demo homepage, you can create such a page using the newly introduced multi-purpose elements in the tagDiv composer.

This has nothing to do with the articles. Installing the demo without content will import theme panel settings and custom design. If you install only settings from a demo, the custom design will apply to the homepage for example only if the same elements are used (same blocks, grids etc, same header and footer styles).

Please keep in mind that the simplest way to achieve this is to install that demo from Theme panel, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/ Also, please notice that it’s too hard to customize your actual theme’s layout to look similar with the demo, sorry! This task involves doing such an additional customizations and notice that we cannot provide this kind of services at the moment, sorry!

First of all, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot say anything. Also, if you like and if you want to use that demo, you simply import it from Theme panel, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ Also, if you have your content you should import it without dummy data because the theme will recognize all of your content which has been loaded into your database. Before each theme install or update, the full backup is fully required to be made to avoid losing your data.

Please do not edit demo content, create your own menus, categories, posts etc and use them. If in the future you should decide to install a different demo, this will remove all demo content imported when installed

When installing a demo there is an option to import dummy content. This process will import a demo menu, categories, posts etc. So you can simply choose to install the default demo with content, and everything will be imported.
