- NewsmagRequirements for Newsmag
Hi Catalin,
Thank you for your fast reply and information.
I have new versions of all software:
WP= 4.7.2 (New installation two days ago)
NewsMag= 3.3.1 (Purchased, downloaded and installed two days ago)
I have also updated the system configuration to match your specs, unless my host’s specs were higher:
max_execution_time= 60
max_input_vars= 5000
WP Memory Limit= 64MB/request
I have flushed the WP cache and let WP PHP read the new .ini configuration file.
The problem is not fixed. I cannot access the text in the fields. Not editable. Unlike yours, the text also appears grey, which is making me think the fields are locked. Other fields I edited on that page have black text.
What are the next steps?
Thank you,
Michael
I’ve reinstalled WordPress once again(I thought that might fix this issue) but still having the same problem
Here is what I’ve done.
1. Uninstalled the WordPress and freshly installed.
2. My website is already linked with the Cloudflare so I unlinked it completely by changing the Nameservers on the Domain Registrar
3. Installed the Newspaper Theme (7.6.1)
4. Registered the Theme, Installed the WP Super Cache Plugin and Change the WP Memory Limit to 256M according to this guide “https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/” & “https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/”
5. Cleared the Cache (WP Super Cache Plugin)
6. Finally when I try to upload the logo and the same thing happened.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply!
The memory limit is already set to 256M, hence, no issue there as it shows. .png)
I tried comparing the codes too but I can’t figure it out. In my console, I am always getting only this warning as shown in the screenshot.
There is no custom code as well as no child theme. The issue is that the the site is active and if I switch off the other plugins it will be down. Even if I do it, the issue is not constant for the change to be detected. Hence, it is very complicated. Mostly, I have detected this error on smartphone.
Thanks a lot!
Hello,
Please increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The issue could be a memory limitation but it could also be a plugin conflict. You should check your browser console when you do not see the error and check it again when you see the error so you can see if there is an error provided that can provide a clue of why this happens.
Right now there is no error on your slider but I can see a console full of errors: https://www.screencast.com/t/Abgfkoq1z1a
please disable all plugins except visual composer and revolution slider, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme. Then check the browser console again (from the browser inspector)
Thank you!
Hello,
If your settings cannot change, it probably means you did not increase your memory limit. Please use this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure your host meets the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and that you increase your php memory and other parameters according to the system status requirements: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
I changed link in wordpress panel (I dint double checked all links after I moved it to new directory) options/media/ and updated link to uploads file on server
however thanks to you I changed memory to 64 so I think I prevented some problems in the future;)
thanks
ok after few hours I can add new post, changed memory in file to 64, but still cannot see pictures in media library, they do not appear on server uploads file when uploading them through admin wordpress panel, when I add them directly on server into uploads file they dont appear in wordpress media library
ok, I think that its a memory limit, in the file wp-config.php I cannot find any inf about memory, Im not a professional coder so could you provide me if I should insert code define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ ); and where, which line specifically?
Hi,
It should work, just open the page in Visual Composer editor, be sure to save any changes you make to the rows, blocks etc – https://www.screencast.com/t/5ttgjEyyL then click Update – https://www.screencast.com/t/xfZKgHfiaH
If you already did this and it still does not work properly, please follow this tutorial – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and adjust the parameters as explained because this could be related to exhausted memory used by php.
Thanks
Yes it works now. It was the cache memory that needed to be emptied. Thanks.
Hello sangam116,
Please ensure the PHP memory to be increased according to our documentation which I gave you above. Clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.

I’m an absolute beginner to this stuff. I’ve Just installed the theme with the TechNews demo.
I’ve set the
max_input_vars 3000
WP Memory Limit 256 MB/request (as recommended)
After saving the changes on the Theme. It isn’t showing until I clear the cache.
What should I do?
And the Top bar isn’t changing on the Mobile. I mean, I’ve removed the Logo and set a Text Logo but on the Mobile, it is showing the TechNews7 (btw I’ve installed tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin)
Hi Catalin,

Trick to finding official WordPress docs info:
Google :: wordpress codex edit wp-config
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
See the WordPress.org codex (the ‘docs’ for WordPress), on how to edit the wp-config.php file to increase base memory limit; WP defaults to 40M, and it should be 96M or higher to use Visual Composer.
I cant even find anyting about memory in the wp-config. It“s so strange. I“ve had a lot of heavy themes on my website and this has never happend before.

Hello Catalln,
Thanks for taking the time to look into this. I followed your instructions and did the following:
– increaded WP_Memory_limit to 256MB
– PHP memory_limit: 256M
– post_max_size: 50M
– max_execution_time: 180
– max_input_vars: 5000
Then I tried adding the Pure HTML block again, but after saving the page, it was not there anymore. Any other ideas, please?
