Hi, I’m not sure how to explain this (and probably why I’m having trouble finding anything on the forums). On the mobile theme, when I visit a category page it lists the category title and directly below it are a number of other categories listed. How do I modify these other categories? Two of the categories are no longer used and do not appear in the main menu (mobile) but still show up when I visit the category page on mobile. Does that make sense? I’d be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction to rectify this as I’m obviously missing something.
See: http://www.screencast.com/t/TMolQrS3
What I am referring to are the boxes (menu items) under 20 Questions. Not all of them are active but can’t figure out how to turn them off.
Thanks!
Installed 9.6 the other day and set up theme colors. I updated to 9.6.1 today, and it doesn’t look like the gradient is updating. I’ve cleared all cache plugins, tried multiple mobile browsers/mobile emulators, and the mobile menu gradient isn’t updating. Any ideas? Site is https://www.creatorbeat.com if you’d like to test.

I’ve had some problems with menu in mobile theme. Sometimes in home page it just simply not work. But accessing the post the menu works normally. I think that depends on wich post is showed in homepage, maybe related with post category.
Huh, it was normal in chrome browser but the mobile version in safari.
I cleared the Cache and see everything right now but its gonna happen again or?
It’s weird cause sometimes when I check it with a phone, I see different versions of the websites and now I see that the menu is there but when want to click on it I see the page without content :I
Hi,
Please make update to the theme to v9.6.1 and the problem with drop-down menu should disappear.
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to use for pages that are made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) only the classic editor also for mobile theme the content for pages need to be set in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
If you want to have the desktop layout you can deactivate the mobile theme and use the responsive version of newspaper for mobile.
Thank you!
In ‘Header manager’ window I disable sticky menu for ‘Main menu’ and ‘Mobile menu’ but I continue to see it.
Hi,

Hope this error fixed soon.
My website is amp ready. But I can’t setup in mobile device as like as desktop design. my website is sadamata.net
My mobile menu also not working as dropdown. Please help me for this problem
Hi,
So the entire page is grey? quite unusual. I could take a look at it, please post a link to the website.
The mobile theme has it’s own menu setting – http://prntscr.com/mzglr9
So on mobile the menu set there will display.
Thanks
Hi pesimist57,
1)Unfortunately, I do not exaclty understand what do you mean though side menu on mobile theme. This plugin only displays the hamburger menu, like this -> specific on mobile devices. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/aatmcVaV
2)If you want to display some custom section when you are using the Mobile theme, notice that you need to edit the theme core files, where the Mobile Theme is created and change the main functionality.
3)Regarding on Newsletter, please notice that we have our own built-in functionality regarding this and also, we do not recommend using another untested plugin for this. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/
4)If you want to change the category in Mobile Theme, you need to edit the code where this functionality is created and change it with your desired category. If you want to make this change, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com so I can point you in the right direction where exaclty you can make this modification through the code.
Thanks.
Hi,
The mobile theme will not show a drop-down arrow unless the menu is a drop-down
– http://prntscr.com/mze6pl – http://prntscr.com/mze6we
You can create a menu in this way and select it for mobile, that would be the solution

Thanks
I installed the AMP plugin, as recommended since the AMP TAGDIV version is obsolete. I hadn’t enabled AMP for mobile and noticed my google webmaster was sending me errors for my amp pages. So I go an enable it through the theme panel. Now all my blog page amps seem fine but the rest of my website pages are broken. I didn’t have this problem before, the weird part is the website works sometimes (mobile) and other times it shows up gray. One thing I know is the blog page menu is definitely not working. I’d like to just have the same menu as I have for the rest of my site for the blog page.
1: ) Mobile Themes Can we show the sidemenu?
2: ) In the desktop view, I post a custom content in a special function.php file after the article. What should I do in order to display the same content in the mobile theme after the article?
It doesn’t show on mobile

but it is show on desktop browser

Hi,
To set the stick menu on mobile you need to make those settings -> https://www.screencast.com/t/MrBkeKWZNCs9 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LqFLAtJO1c
Hope this will help you better!
Thanks!
Hi,
So you are using the AMP and mobile theme combination? – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
The layout should not be broken if you follow the steps mentioned in the guide.
Note that when the mobile theme is active, pages will display only the content you enter in the mobile editor, as mentioned in the guide
– https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So each page requires two versions, one for desktop and one for mobile. The homepage on mobile is predefined, there will be a top grid with three featured posts, then the content entered in the mobile editor, then a latest articles section. If no content is entered in the mobile editor for a page, it will be empty when the plugin is active.
Regarding the mobile menu issue, we are aware of it. Seems to affect only specific pages, this is investigated and we will fix it.
let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. On the mobile version, you sohuld have the Hamburger menu functionality for your menu bar.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
In order to set a menu for mobile theme you’ll need to go in appearance>menus https://www.screencast.com/t/1AXsFLJism
If you are not using mobile theme you can use the header builder -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Q72vMTPC
Get Slick Designs with the new Mobile Header Feature -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-header-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
I’ve update to latest newspaper version , on mobile woocommerce product immage doesn’t appear, the immage appear only by touching the screen (modale). Also The menu on the left side doesn’t work. Do you have any suggestions?
With the mobile theme plugin deactivate anything works, but the site is slower.
Hello guys,
Tagdiv one of the greatest WP theme developers. They created a great and light weight theme designs for bloggers, businesses, entrepreneurs, niches and more.
The Newsletter theme worlds #1 selling and using theme. Why the #1 because they (they) deserved it.
They recently released Newspaper v9.6 it’s a totally big fail on the theme development.
How can I say fail matter, yeah it’s true, newspaper v9.6 big fail.
Whenever they released v9.6, the forum filled with so many problems.
1. AMP
The AMP works fine only when I’m using mobile plugin. Ofcourse, the amp works also without mobile plugin but I can’t monetize my site with Ads.
The ads (article, top, bottom, inline, etc) only managed by mobile plugin.
*today are the most of the people using mobile devices to reading our blog posts.
*Some bloggers only earn money only for monetizing ads.
2. Mobile theme
Mobile theme is perfectly good. But some users didn’t like that. Because the desktop structure is different and mobile theme structure is totally different.
The mobile (plugin) theme displays only 3 blocks featured posts and recent posts.
So, when user visit our site he/she immediately goes back. Then our bounce rate very huge impact.
Internet have huge blogs, we need to beat some one.
So, theme design must be impressive.
* The person who have using v9.6 they can’t monetize AMP ads without mobile plugin. (It is totally big disappointed right.!)
* Ok, when we ready to use the mobile plugin we can’t change mobile menu text type (roboto, lato, open sans, ubuntu etc.) it’s comes from default.
***There are so many others, but these are the main reasons affect our blogging career.
Please think blogger point of view they only earn money from monetize, sponsored content, affiliate etc.
Most of the users come with mobile devices. When the user feels not good the site then he immediately goes back. *Bounce rate will be very high.
Kindly, please take this an serious issues.
We will wait for the successful v9.7 with stunning features.
If anything wrong for me, I really apologize.
Thank you Catalin.. I put the CSS codes but actually there is no difference. The mobile menu doesn’t get active until the page loading %100.
And the about page speed, yes I read all this staff. I used Super Cache and Cloud etc. before. But after I found another small problems. For example, I change a image, but it doesn’t change for a while, something like this. And every time I need the clean cache.. a lot of work for me.. Anyway I’m not so expert all this. I don’t want to mess something doing speed solutions.
Anyway thank you again..
Hi, I don’t use the plug in mobile.
I set the menu correctly in sticky mode in Cloud Templates.
But I wouldn’t want the menu to see it in mobile mode(?!)
Thanks for support:)

Hi – how do we change the mobile menu? It looks like it just shows whatever is set as the main header menu, but most themes give an option for a separate mobile menu. How do we do this with Newspaper please?
Hi,
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to use for pages that are made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) only the classic editor also for mobile theme the content for pages need to be set in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Please check our documentation for the Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
For those 3 blocks you’ll need to feature posts that have set feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
In order to set a menu for mobile theme you’ll need to go in appearance>menus https://www.screencast.com/t/1AXsFLJism
Thank you!
Okay, let me approach this from a different angle.
Have you any code to hide the mobile menu? I’d appreciate it.
