On mobile device the menu slide out shows all the sub-categories by default. Can the sub categories list only be shown after clicking on a categories? maybe add a + sign next to categories that have sub categories?

Advise? Thanks.

Hi, How to enable buddypress/admin toolbar? I tried buddypress settings and checked “Show the Toolbar for logged out users” but it did not work. I then added add_filter(‘show_admin_bar’, ‘__return_true’); to functions.php and it now shows but has a few issues.

1. the toolbar width is not set same as theme
2. on mobile devices the header menu is gone. and does not show top menu and toolbar

Can you advise on a fix? Thank you.

Hi again

The site is live and I’m wondering how I get the mobile version to show the mobile menu button on the left, and my image as a mobile menu item.

If you visit the site, I want the image you see in the menu when scrolling at the same place when you’re scrolling on mobile.

I’m displaying the logo in the menu with the following css, and it’s working great on everything except mobile:

/* —————————————————————————-
Custom CSS
*/
.menu-item-40484 {
display: none;
}
.affix .menu-item-40484 {
display: block;
}
.menu-item-40484 {
position: absolute; left: 260px;}
}
/* responsive portrait tablet */

@media
(min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1018px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 35px;}
}
/* responsive landscape tablet */

@media
(min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1199px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 52px;}
}

@media
(min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1199px) {
.td-menu-wrap #td-top-menu {
padding-left: 70px;
}

I’ve tried adding something like the css below, but it doesn’t work:

/* responsive phone */

@media
(max-width: 767px) {
.menu-item-40484 {position: absolute;left: 5px;}
}

I would appreciate the CSS to make the menu smaller too!

Maybe an update in the future could include a design where the ipad version automatically goes to mobile or the design of the menu looks good when forced onto two lines? Many thanks.

Hi,
I will add it on the list for a future investigation.
Thanks again!

Hello tagDiv,

First off,I would say this theme is great 🙂 But there is some improvements needed!!!!

Header Ad System bugs

I have noticed a lots of bugs this weekend. Which includes problems in the Header Ad System! When someone visits from a 7″ tablet, the Ad covers the whole logo! Although I’ve chosen to display 468×90 in Tablets! Please fix this ASAP. Here is the example: http://www.screencast.com/t/GmKD5f22QD5l

Main Menu Bugs

I am not sure if its a bug or not. But there is some features for the menus, I am going to suggest. First off, please add a feature to show different menus for small display (mobile,tablets)! Cause if someone visits from smaller displays, the items at the end (main menu) goes down! Which is really bad…PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!! here is what I’m talking about: http://www.screencast.com/t/PNLvhx6JO0pk

Small/post sliders bugs

Another bug I’ve noticed that the small sliders doesn’t displays the whole image! The sliders crops the images and leave some space in bottom! PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!! Ex: http://www.screencast.com/t/YBdLjupIeb

Suggestion:

I have seen a lots of themes/sites uses dividers to divide everything. From ads to sidebar widget. You can look through The Verge for example of their dividers. I would love to see divders (horizontal and vertical) between every widget, sidebar, just like The Verge. Also, add a feature to Disable and Enable this feature, if possible. Please add this in the next version and don’t say “we will discuss this later”. tagDiv haven’t finished any of my request till now!!!!! So, please do this as quickly as possible.

Thanks!

Big thanks, that was Quick.

About option to move mobile menu to the right, maybe you can add it to your “to do list” in future updates. Its a good ergonomic solution, but I understand that its a lot work.

many thanks.

Hi,
1. Add this CSS in Theme panel -> Custom CSS

.td-sp-ico-menu {
    background-position: -20px -364px !important;
}

2. Is a litter difficult to move the menu on right, but anyway thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,
and thanks for those nice words 🙂

1. I presume that you ask about on phone devices? If yes add this CSS in Theme panel -> Custom CSS section:

#td-top-mobile-toggle {
    position: absolute;
    top: 2px;
}
#td-top-search {
    position: absolute;
    right: 0px;
    top: 0px;
}
.mobile-logo-wrap img {
    left: auto;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    position: relative;
    right: auto;
}
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu:before {
    right: 15px;
}
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu {
    left: -280px;
    top: 46px;
}

2. Use this CSS

@media (max-width: 767px) {
  .td-full-layout .td-menu-background {
    background: #66af2a !important;
  }
}

Thanks!

Hello,

I have the same problem but in my case, I have also problems with an iPad in landscape mode. I have 9 items + 2 mini logos in my menu and I cannot reduce the items.

I would like to reduce the padding and font size between 768 to 1200 and use the mobile menu for widths below 768px. Could you please help me?

I have a production website and also a test website if you need it. Thank you and best regards!

Hi TagDiv!

Big thanks for the very nice wordpress-theme and your work with evolution and support.

I have a request/question for the mobile menu, if it would be possible options in future versions.

1 – A design-option to change the “dotted menu-button” to “3 line button” if its possible. My personal thinking it that it looks better 🙂

2 – A design option to change from left-side to right-side for the menu mobile. Its work better and faster for right-handed users. And several new design-reports says a right-placed menu for mobile/smaller screens works better.

Thats my two questions for mobile menu.

Many thanks
Niclas

Hi 🙂

I have just bought the template and I think is really great 🙂

1) Is it possible to have the logo in the middle and the search button to the right?

2) Is it possible to choose another background color for the mobile menu – I want to use white as background for the desktop menu and green for the mobile menu.

Same here. Also I’m experiencing problems with Visual Editor, it simply disappeared from the menu and the sprite images are messed up when viewing with Mobile devices.

Hi,
I’ve tried some solution but no luck, what you can do is to put in the root for the mega menu the category no only a link #.

Thanks for the message!

Hmmm. On my iPad the menu fits just fine (ga-ga.com test site, under construction). If you add too many elements (more than 7 or 8 menu items, it will break). I think somebody on here removed the search icon, and moved that to sidebar, which provided a bit more room.

Probably an option to have a slide out menu in place of the main menu as a toggle option for the breakpoint would be good.

I’m sure Marius will have a solution to change the breakpoint for the menu for your particular site.

I’m very happy the theme even has a “regular” menu bar for iPad portrait as just about everybody is going with “no menu” and the mobile drop or slide out.

Hi,

Is there a way to call another menu to be used on mobile set up?

At the moment, because I’m using the mega menu with subcategories (martinmuir.com/blueventures/) the mobile menu only shows the top level items which in my situation are simply dead # links.

I really need a mobile solution for this. Any thoughts?

Hi, I’m having several issues with the theme. My site is http://diariojudio.com

1.- In some pages I’m having a php error that says:
Fatal error: ob_start() [ref.outcontrol]: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in /home/forojudi/public_html/diario/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/wpbakery/js_composer/composer/lib/shortcodes.php on line 119

Example pages:
http://diariojudio.com/januca/
http://diariojudio.com/bosques

This happen when I insert content with visual composer. As soon as I add a single row, the page breaks. With the editor window blank or other content not from the composer the pages work well.

2. Front page slider does not rotate regardless setting a rotation time.

3. Categories menu won’t show up in blocks.

4. Megamenu layout broken. Categories show up above the grid instead of to the left.
See http://diariojudio.com/screen-megamenu.png

5. backstretch background “jitters” in IE and some mobile devices.

PS: I am using Version 3.2 of the theme with 3.8 in WP and PHP 5.3
I can provide both, FTP access and WP admin access in case you need to see or test something.

Hi,
You can’t via CSS.

1.

            <div class="row-fluid td-menu-header">
                <div class="span3 hide-mobile">
                    <?php

                    wp_nav_menu(array(
                        'theme_location' => 'my-menu',
                        'menu_class'=> 'sf-menu',
                        'fallback_cb' => 'td_wp_page_menu',
                        'walker' => new td_tagdiv_walker_nav_menu()
                    ));

                    ?>
                </div>

like here: http://screencast.com/t/BqiMkB5Sb

2. 'my-menu' => __( 'My Menu', TD_THEME_NAME)
like here: http://screencast.com/t/2bVntzFIS5Q

3. Add this CSS in theme panel -> Custom CSS

@media (max-width: 767px) {
    .span3.hide-mobile {
        display: none;
   }
}
.hide-mobile {
    padding-left: 15px;
}
.td-menu-wrap #td-top-menu {
    padding-left: 0px;
}
@media (min-width: 1200px) {
    .hide-mobile {
       padding-left: 48px;
    }
}
.td-menu-header .span8 {
    margin-left: 0px;
}
.menu-header-container {
    display: table;
    float: none !important;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}

4. Go to Appearance -> Menu
Use this menu for that 2 icons and header menu for the rest of the menu.

Result: http://screencast.com/t/XmkHInjHHvv

Thanks!

Hi, I have the same problem.

In fact, the problem is about the “Mobile Site View”. When you go on the web site with a computer or with a tablet, everything is correct, but when you go on the web site with a mobile, we automatically see the “mobile site view”.

As you can see on my first screenshot, my site doesn’t have the main menu (only the top menu), the slider and the image doesn’t appear and some wordpress shortcode code appear instead of the real visual.

As you can see on my second screenshot, at the bottom of the web site, it’s written “View Full Site”. Then, if you click on this link, you will see the real site view adapted for the mobile.

The problem is: when we go on the web site with a mobile, we automatically see mobile view instead of the full site view. It should be invert. We should see the full site view at first and at the bottom of the site, we could see the “View Mobile Site” link.

To be honest, I don’t even want to have the opportunity to see the mobile site view because it doesn’t work for me.

Also, just to give you more example, it is the same thing for Novaque:(his web site link is written on the top of the screenshot bellow.)

Thank you,

Etienne

hi,
what plugings are you using?
if you use speedbooster plugin disable it.
if you use a caching plugin (like W3 Total Cache) disable the minify js option

you can also try disable all the plugins and try again, if this fixes the problem then one of those plugins is to blame

Thanks for you message.
