- TutorialsWhat is Ajax preloading?
Hi,
I am trying to understand how to use a default site-wise mobile menu.
First of all:
– I have different page templates, each one of them with different desktop header templates.
– I am NOT using the mobile plugin.
What I am trying to achieve:
1) When I am on desktop, use the headers defined in each page template
2) When I am on mobile, just use a simple mobile sticky template
What’s the issue:
– I am currently unable to see any mobile header
Stuff I have tried:
– I have tried designing a mobile header within the mobile header zone (as explained here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/). The header doesn’t show up, I assume because it is trying to load the custom desktop header?
– I have tried creating a mobile header blank template. Problem with this is that, after I create it, I have no idea how to set it as the default header when visiting the website from mobile.
All in all I am _very_ confused because there are so many option and it is unclear how to set a default behavior. Can you please send some help? :'(
Hi Team,
Website Menu on Mobile is hiding the full background content, how i can set it to width(~70%) of the Menu text in it so that the content from the left screen (~30%) background can be visible.
For more reference please check https://dashofturmeric.in/’s menu on mobile.

Hello,
You need to add the ad in the header mobile menu, to display for mobile, like this => https://we.tl/t-hmJeD1wSWz
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Aha! Yes, indeed I did. Thank you, if I would have known that it would have saved me a lot of time.
Seems like a bug?
One follow-up question; homepage on desktop and mobile looks the same now, except for the ad block just below the menu. It appears on desktop version, but not on the mobile version. Strangely, if I add the advertisement block in ‘mobile’ mode it appears twice on desktop and only once on mobile. Any idea why that block specifically is not shown on both layouts, but only on desktop?
Hi Anamaria,
I do not have this option in the menu Theme Panel -> Mobile. I do not use mobile theme or AMP. I just use mobile layouts from cloud templates.
Should I then just include the code as always in Theme Panel->Custom Code?
Hello,
I just checked your website, and now the mobile menu works well => https://www.screencast.com/t/xDWk3MNv76YO
The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
I just checked your website and it looks that your images and thumbs are not optimized, for example, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize. Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
By the way, we have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
hi all, i have a big problem with my site’s pop-up menu. When clicking the hamburger button the menu does not appear, and it takes a long time. I tried to install the tag div mobile menu plugin but I can’t do it as it appears right now. I also need a lot of help to speed up the blog. I attach link https://www.vadoanapoli.it
The desktop version of my website https://www.happyinshape.com looks the way I want it to look and looks the way I’ve configured it through the TagDiv composer, but when opening my website on a mobile device (iPhone 11) it looks way different:
– no header menu
– no logo
– no ad below the menu
– very different footer than desktop
It’s really confusing me since I didn’t add a ‘mobile page’, also the design looks good in the composer when selecting the mobile device and I don’t have a clue where the mobile variant of my website gets the current footer from since it differs completely from what I’ve configured.
In short: what page is loaded when my website is visited on a mobile device and how can I make it look like the desktop version I’ve configured? I just want it to have the same blocks, order and content on both devices.
Reproduction possible by visiting the mentioned URL on desktop / laptop and on mobile and compare the homepage.
Hello,
If I understood correctly, you want to change the background color of the menu header, right?
For this, you need to select the viewport on phone, select the zone of mobile menu and from the tab “CSS” you can change the background color => https://www.screencast.com/t/uO47flEmmeP
You can find more tutorials on our channel on youtube =>https://www.youtube.com/user/tagdiv which can help you to redesign.
Hope this helps you!

Hello,
To make the mobile menu Smart snap, then you need to enable it to be sticky and in its settings to set to Smart snap => https://www.screencast.com/t/zlfVmcjXZ
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hi. I did that already. I enabled it when I started creating my header, but for some reason sticky menus disappeared. I was not able to return them back it went straight to Zone without showing empty sticky row which is for creating sticky menus. For instance, in manager I click on mobile menu sticky and then it automatically shows me area (row) where I can create mobile menu sticky. If i erase this area (row) I can’t create it again which means I can’t create sticky menu whether it be for mobile or for desktop version.
However, I solved the problem it was some code in my custom CSS that interfered with newspapers theme code. Anyway, erasing sticky row (mobile or desktop) for me at least won’t let me create another sticky row.
Thanks.
Hello!
Here you can set a picture for mobile menu background: https://www.screencast.com/t/x3Xrln2b88x

Hello
I’m using Newspaper Classic Pro blog theme, everything is all right, except for this:
on the mobile version appears a “Sign in” module when the user goes to the mobile main menu on the top right, where he/she can log into his/her account, but I didn’t create this module, in fact I don’t see it on the pc or tablet version of the website.
How can I eliminate the “Sign in” module from the mobile version?
Also, always in the mobile main menu, I can’t control the links to the social media, they don’t direct to the socials, but to the website home page instead. How can I fix them?
Thanks in advance
regards
Mirko
1. Suddenly I got a problem that on my mobile, my website’s front page is not showing the menu bar and footer. If you check from the desktop you will see everything is okay. But when checking from mobile and google’s pagespeed insights or with lighthouse (mobile test), you will see that the front page of the website has default elements and no menu and footer that I have created. The problem is only on the homepage. You can see the pictures I have added. How can I get rid of it? I have added the snapshot.
https://imgur.com/a/1xlHWTc (default menu on front page)
https://imgur.com/a/uZyDfGy (actual meu on mobile)
2. After this, now I see many articles do not show ads whether some of the articles are showing. I want to get rid of this problem too. I am using ad inserter but I don’t know why this happened.
Thanks. Regards.

Hello!
Probably, you didn’t select the menu from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Header -> Main menu. If this is not what you mean, then please provide your website link in order to help you efficiently.
Thank you!
When I click on the mobile menu (burger) animation starts but the menu itself won’t show.

Thank you for the reply. Setting offset empty solves the issue.
I am facing another issue with menu/search button in mobile devices.
Whenever menu or search button is pressed in mobile site, the page gets reloaded and it gets to the top of the page.
Please guide me in solving this issue.
Thanks
Hello!
You can disable/enable sticky mobile menu and main menu when you access Website Manager, like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/EdpjIpsBHunx
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Indeed there seems to be a problem with the “Sign in/Join” on responsive version, we’ll fix this in the coming theme update. As a quick fix until then, you can try this custom
.td-menu-mob-open-menu #td-mobile-nav {
height: calc(100% + 1px);
}
css https://i.imgur.com/xq7MQ3r.png
Hope this will help you!
Hi. I created my header in Div Composer, and after I changed some things I went back and when I scroll down I don’t see sticky main menu and mobile sticky menu anymore. I tried to create them again but the field for creating sticky menus is empty it is only Zone without rows and ability to put a new row on that sticky positions. Is there any way to create them again?
So I’ve been facing a pickle of an issue with the mobile menu doing whatever it pleases for no apparent reason.
First off for some reason, the search bar on some pages just isn’t there.
https://digicoin.news/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/no-search-bar.png
And then when you scroll down for some pages it gives me a black menu bar. I’ve looked to try and find out where this is coming from.
https://digicoin.news/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/weird-sticky.png
And last but not least in over half of the mobile pages the website logo itself doesn’t show up at all.
https://digicoin.news/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/no-logo.png
Sincerely looking forward to some fixes.
