Hi Calin,

Thanks for your response.

I’m using the Mobile Theme not the responsive version of the desktop.

I’m wondering how I could do the same customization for the mobile theme. Where are the files?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Andreas

Thanks for your info.
One suggestion, can the responsive way of the Newspaper Theme please be changed in future updates to match the PC when holding the mobile in landscape mode (widthwise)?
If this happens, many people will benefit from the design of the website on mobile.
Thanks once again

I’m trying to display two banners (desktop version and mobile version) side by side in the header of this test site:

https://dev.coronadotimes.com

I want to display two banners that show up on desktop and if people are on mobile then they get a mobile version of the two banners. I have a child theme that might be impacting them from displaying, but it might be my code as well. I’ve attached my code and would appreciate any help to get this working in the header of my test site.

<div class="td-visible-desktop">
    <a href="http://www.zillow.com"><img src="http://dev.coronadotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/partner1.png" alt="" /></a>

    <a href="http://www.zillow.com"><img src="http://dev.coronadotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/partner2.png" alt="" /></a>
</div>

<div class="td-visible-phone">
    <a href="http://www.zillow.com"><img src="http://dev.coronadotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/partner1mobile.png" alt="" /></a>

    <a href="http://www.zillow.com"><img src="http://dev.coronadotimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/partner2mobile.png" alt="" /></a>
</div>

<div class=”td-visible-desktop”>

</div>

Update: I’ve read some more and I don’t want to use the mobile theme. I want my regular site to be responsive. Just in a good way, not looking all bad. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!

Hi,

It’s always me. I have a question. There is a method to edit the mobile theme file. I have found the mobile folder where are located the files. But i can’t modify them in the child. Why? The structure of the blocks, modules etc.. are editable by the child theme but the mobile modules no. There is a method to edit this folder? Please say me yes, i absolutely need it.

Thanks

Hi There,

When i setup up autoads on adsense i have 2 codes one for head and one for body.

Where do i place them in the theme panel, as there is only one slot available for amp auto ads?

Thanks

Hello !

The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.

You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor.

Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you !

Hi,

If you are using the responsive version of theme, the mobile version should look like on desktop, only if you are using the mobile theme the CPT will look different, or if you are using the mobile theme for amp, you can use this option for responsive version -> http://prntscr.com/phrlxf
If this is not what you mean, just let me know!

Thank you!

Hello !

That aspect is the mobile theme being rendered on desktop.

Usually this issue comes from lack of a caching plugin. We do recommend using WP Super Cache as you can see here: https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thank you !

I have recently purchased and installed this theme with little issues. However, when editing the page or viewing the home page while logged in it shows the full website. But when I am not logged in, it appears as a mobile site on any desktop device. Why is this happening?

A small trick. I just browsed through theme panel, and found out “Use Mobile theme for”
I had clicked on “Mobile + AMP” and the output in mobile was not good. I clicked “AMP”, The display is OK for me.
Now my question is, can the articles get arranged just like pc? you can have a look at our website, recent articles and beside it is advertisements.

HI Jumich,

Usually if you are using the mobile theme will be enough to set this type of code -> http://prntscr.com/phftig, the second one -> http://prntscr.com/phfttp is already in the theme -> http://prntscr.com/phfsrp

Thank you!

Hi,

Indeed these kind of errors appear when you are using the amp with out mobile theme, if you do not want to have mobile theme, please use this option from mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/phfjz8 in this way the mobile theme style will apply only on amp and will fix these errors.

Thank you!

Note, when I add the same non-Google ad to my mobile theme, the theme will not load on my phone. Please advise.

Coding is:
<div class=”td-visible-phone”>

</div>

The mobile theme is now loading. Disregard this support message. Thank you.

Hi Calin,

I manually purged my cache on WP and then tried opening in a private mobile browser … still nothing…when I “request desktop site” it works fine.

Note: I am only deactivating the mobile theme on specific pages not the entire site.. not sure if that makes a difference?

Website seems to look fine, but later it changes how it appears. The background image shrinks. When on a mobile sometimes the menu does not show my categories like it is supposed to and starts asking for a sign in. Any one know why it is doing that?
