Hello !
Please try this custom CSS:
.td-main-menu-logo amp-img img {
min-height: 100%;
}
This must be pasted into Theme Panel – Mobile Theme – Custom CSS: https://www.screencast.com/t/THIJ4TDFX6
Thank you !
Hi,
Now this is quite an unusual issue. Looks like when I click on the drop-down arrow it refreshes the page, like a misclick on the current language menu item.
For me it works fine on mobile – https://prnt.sc/osimjj -> https://prnt.sc/osimgk
I found a similar topic about this issue here – https://wpml.org/forums/topic/opening-language-switcher-drop-down-causes-refresh-page/
You could try the javascript code mentioned there, in the theme or child theme functions file. Then check if the issue is solved.
Thanks
Hello !
The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.

Hi,
if I click on my mobile site (see http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=https%3A//www.eronite.com&w=414&h=736&a=37) on a single post and want to switch it via menu to another language, it doesn’t work. It’s the WMPL plugin installed.
On the desktop theme it’s correct.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot,
Luke
I’m using Newspaper theme (love it) on a site that was existing for some time (did clean install). This site has a 3rd party set of plugins (Responsive Accordion & Tabs Responsive) as part of it’s previous design on one large set of pages. The tabs are placed inside of accordions to organize content. The site has a huge number of pages using these plugins. All of these pages have a tab with Vimeo video embeds in it.
Previous to use of the Newspaper theme these Vimeo videos displayed as a normal Vimeo embed would inside the accordions/tabs. With the Newspaper theme, however, on larger screens (mobile is fine) the videos appear as very small thumbnails at 56.25px high which is an odd number for a height! The videos still play but they have no controls available because they are so small! In the source code I can see an inline css style being injected to make them this height.
This issue does NOT occur if I embed a Vimeo video on a new page without any accordions/tabs. If I add an inline css style with height and width this problem goes away, but then the video no longer acts responsively and is too large on mobile and gets partially cut off of course.
Odder yet, is if I use zoom, even just a little in the browser the video immediately snaps to full size. However, all attempts to use css zoom via js to make the body a bit bigger did not work to normalize the size of the videos even though they did indeed zoom the scale of the page being displayed.
While I understand tagDiv probably will say this is a problem with a 3rd party plugin and they can’t support it, it does appear this inline css style for a 56.25px video height is being injected by the Newspaper theme as I have disabled all plugins that have amything to do with images and thumbnails etc, cleared all caches, and the problem still occurs.
I am hoping someone might have some type of insight they can offer as to how I can resolve this issue without re-creating hundreds of pages.
You can see an example of the problem here:
Scroll down a bit, click the Meditation Accordion to expand it, then click the Video tab. You’ll see the issue.
That’s the dev site version, it has since gone live, but the live site is in maintenance mode pending the resolution of this issue so it’s not accessible.
Hi,
I’m having some issues with my newspaper website after trying to update my website logo and favicon.
After I updated my header and footer logo and favicon, I noticed that the favicon and header logo is not updated properly.
More specifically, for the desktop version of my website the favicon is not updating while the header and footer logo updated fine.
For the mobile version of my website, using the Mobile Theme, both the favicon and header logo are not updating.
When I inspect the HTML elements both on desktop and mobile I notice that they both point to the old assets.
Also, after doing a lot of troubleshooting and testing myself the Mobile Theme now is not working properly
So I tried everything from my hand but can’t seem to find what is the issue. See below a list of things I tried and specs of my website.
- cleared cache on WP Super Cache & CLoudflare
- optimized/cleaned sql db
- clear browser cache and cookies
- cleared web server cache
- updated to latest newspaper theme version 9.8
- disabled Cloudflare
- disabled cache plugin
- disabled all plugins
- updated my server to PHP7.1
- Complied to all configs in system status – all green
My website is https://ourcodepeople.com
I don’t seem to find what is the issue. Something is stuck. My mind goes to some cache not invalidating or something but I cleared all cache memories I could.
The problem still persists and I cannot update the favicon and header logo while the Mobile Theme is not working properly.
Looking forward to your kind advice on the issue.
Regards,
Andreas
Hello !
Sorry for missunderstanding your issue. It appears that you either disabled mobile theme or there was a bug. I have followed the steps you presented and I can’t see a difference between me accesing the page or beign redirected from twitter. Can you provide some screenshots of your issue ?
On our side this looks fine.
Thank you !
Hi Vlad S,
Thanks for the reply, Vlad. Just so you know, this issue only happens when the link is accessed via Twitter on Mobile. Facebook and Instagram work fine on Mobile.
Optimisation aside, but does it have to display the original template in order to optimise my website?
How do I disable the mobile theme? Thanks again for replying.
Best regards,
Adi

Hello !
We are sorry for the inconvenience !
Since you have hired someone to do custom work it is impossible for us to know what they have changed. I’ve noticed that your mobile menu doesn’t even work. That is caused in 99% of the time by plugins. You can start by deactivating all the non-theme related plugins and see wich one crashes your menu.
Also for the php scripts, the issue is that they are spread all over the theme and it would be a very hard work to identify all of it and repair it.
We have no reported issue on the menu in Firefox, this could be again, caused by plugins.
I suggest you to either contact the agency and fix their mistakes or you could reinstall the theme and start it again. I know it doesn’t sounds ok but it may be the best way.
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hi all,
My first ever post here. Awesome theme by the way. As the title suggests; when I clicked the post I’ve shared on Twitter, the website header displayed the header from the original template, “Newspaper Discover The Art of Publishing, (let’s call this Header 1)” instead of the header that I’ve designed formy website (Header 2). The issue solves itself when I clicked Header 1, the website thus shows Header 2. The click somehow refreshes.
Here’s my website: emakayah.com
here’s my Twitter: https://twitter.com/emakayahdotcom
Best regards,
Adi
Hello,
we hired an agency to do some customizations on our Newspaper theme but they happened to destroy a few features. A big issue is that the Mobile menu block is always resetting its menu selection. Every other change on this block saves just fine but when I change “menu selection” and save it after a refresh it voids the selection again.
What php scripts are responsible for it and which scripts do I have to reset to fix this issue?
Second problem is that Firefox doesn’t list the menu horizontally but any other browser does. Is this a known issue or is this also a thing the agency “destroyed”?
Best,
Sebastian

Hello team,
I have some problems with my cache, because sometimes it shows the mobile version on desktop computers (pc). This is fixed by removing the cache, but the problem is repeated every few days.
I’ve contacted litespeed cache support to resolve the problem.
But for you to help me, you must know that user-agents uses the theme to differentiate pc and mobile.
Can you give me this information?
What is the list of user-agents your theme uses to differentiate between Mobile and Desktop?
Thanks, Jose

Hi,
Yes, this is possible, you can achieve this using the mobile theme plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or you can use the responsive version use the TD Composer and check the mobile layout -> https://prnt.sc/olykbq
Hope this will work.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the MOBILE THEME+AMP set the code for phone section in Theme panel> Mobile theme> Custom code > Css -> http://prntscr.com/orh8jo this should work.
Thank you!

Hi,
Unfortunately we didn’t tested the T5.ro tool with our theme therefore we do not know how this is working or the settings that need to be done.
Also we recommend to use the mobile theme with amp plugin, in this way you’ll have the mobile template on amp does not matter on the option you choose ( only amp or amp + mobile them ) ->http://prntscr.com/opwh8s
The Mobile Theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> tagDiv AMP Plugin Tutorial -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Set the -> http://prntscr.com/orgfs4 the code for analytics amp -> http://prntscr.com/orgfzx and also make sure that you have set an analytics set in theme panel too -> http://prntscr.com/orgg5w
Thank you!
Hi,
Is look that you need to apply a custom css to display the drop-down menu on mobile -> http://prntscr.com/orfx55
.td-mobile-content .td-icon-menu-right {
display: inline-block;
}
The code need to be set in Theme panel> Custom code> Custom css
Also this problem can be fixed by making a theme update, the last version of the theme is 9.8 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
The desktop code work. But how about for the MOBILE THEME+AMP version?
Thanks so far!
Whenever i search any post, Google shows the message Your website page is not mobile-friendly. What should i do to make the newspaper theme mobile friendly? Besides, i have also enabled the AMP for the website.
Hello,
I have a site for testing purpose that is Vodafone customer care number. Previously, I had installed newspaper’s mobile theme plugin and amp plugin. Now I have uninstalled them. So i am facing this issue ??. Please, Solve this error.
My second site is getpureapk. Which is ok.
On mobile there should be a dropdown menu for services, because it has a sub-menu, but there is not one. I would like to have an arrow or some other icon next to services that reveals Family Practice, Dermatology, etc with another arrow next to those to display the menu items under there.
Is there a theme option that I have missed, or some kind of css that can be added to the site, or will this need to be edited in the theme files somehow?
I get this error on posts and AMP is not working anywhere.
I have the AMP plugin, the Mobile Theme plugin (set to AMP).
