Hi,

I believe a solution will be found for this issue. The mobile theme doesn’t limit or add some of the categories in a drop-down, so they will all appear like that.

A solution is to hide them, try the code from this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-delete-the-categories-list-in-mobile-theme/
Enter it in the theme panel as mentioned. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

@simon
I agree with you about 2x size for retina and it’s correct, issue come from Google Pagespeed
Google take image from srcset! and took exactly 4x size, which Google think is speed issue!

please check screenshot where it’s come

if I remove this part of code, google pass the page speed test!!!
So I think in mobile theme we have to add another rewriting of td_module class!

Check developer pagespeed report https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Freatlat.net%2F&hl=en

Google took the best size from assets, For my opinion we don’t need this srcset for mobile theme!

Hi,

Maybe it got disabled, if you use Gutenberg check here – http://prntscr.com/mxtv3e
http://prntscr.com/mxtv8n
If you use the classic editor check here – http://prntscr.com/mxtvni

I am testing with the latest theme and WordPress versions, the mobile editor is still there.

Hi,

The theme counter will count the numbers of visits on post ( this will count even the refresh of page), also there is a special option and you can set manually the number of views -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ikdBXljeGb
Please check our documentation for ajax view count -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/ajax-view-count/

@maxu
if you have activate mobile theme and amp the visitors from mobile will navigate in amp version, and dos are not count with view counter.

Thank you!

Hi,

If you do not want to use the mobile theme, you can activate only the amp
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/HeEYzNh3g please set the amp on classic
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/bWusLQ6Gyugt
Here is the result -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hBlaYT2jRF

Thank you!

Hi!

I just bought your Newsmag theme and I’m starting to edit it with one of the demos by default. At the moment I do not have many problems, except that my website is not displayed on mobile devices. I have activated Pluggin’s settings in the Theme panel -> AMP -> Page -> Enable / disable AMP support on pages, but it does not work. Please tell me what I have to do to make my website appear correctly on mobile phones.

Hi,

The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to use for pages that are made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) only the classic editor also for mobile theme the content for pages need to be set in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

You can check our live demo from here ->https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/

Thank you!

Hi,

That mobile theme module uses this thumbnail size – http://prntscr.com/mxs6re
It is true that it is reduced like so with CSS – http://prntscr.com/mxs76x

I believe that thumbnail size was considered to be the best choice for the mobile theme to use. There is no specific thumbnail created by or for the mobile theme, it will use that one. Retina will be twice the size of the normal size (530×396).

If you have a suggestion to improve on this functionality mention it here and I can pass it along to the developer team. But I can’t promise anything unfortunately.

Thanks

Hi,

Most likely, you are using the Mobile Theme plugin and that’s why you do not bring the desktop layout on mobile. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you are unhappy with this layout, you sohuld simply disable this plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general mobile responsive mode.

Thanks for the message!

I would love to use the Mobile Theme/AMP functionality as I think it looks and works great, but those mobile pages will not load ads from Amazon, Taboola, and Insticator. I’ve only been able to get Google AdSense to load on those pages since the Mobile Theme and AMP were combined. Unless there’s something I’m missing.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the Classic AMP plugin does not have this implementation for Featured Video, sorry! If you want to achieve this functionality, you need to use our new theme’s functionality with Mobile Theme and AMP. For more information about this, please check here -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I want to remove the grid from the top of category pages, so I put a CSS code in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom Code like on screenshot:

https://www.screencast.com/t/Fi0ZDi3egC6a

Is there better way to permanently disable the grid on the category pages in mobile theme?

Thank you!

I have about 90 categories on the site and they all have a unique tag. However they all have a tag in common, too. I think that’s why I encountered tens of link tags on mobile theme category page. Here is the problem:

https://www.english-learn-online.com/wp-content/uploads/custom-uploads/z-problem.jpg

In fact, that is not a problem on desktop view. Here is the desktop view:
https://www.english-learn-online.com/wp-content/uploads/custom-uploads/z-desktop.jpg

Because of this problem I had to disable the mobile theme.

Well the problem is that I could not disable the excessive tags (about 90 tags) on mobile theme. Is there a way to hide those tags on category pages or push them under the post lists on category pages?

Sorry, but v 9.6 update was total fail, which cost me huge decrease in mobile traffic – http://prntscr.com/mxpbj7
Who is responsible for such disaster? When do you plan to release new corrected update?

Here is my System Status – http://prntscr.com/mxpc0e
I had to change my perfectly working W3 Total Cache to WP Super Cache, recompile all ads codes (add new to Mobile and AMP section), remake used cloud templates (old ones didn’t want to work) and still the site’s mobile version looks horrible, AMP versions don’t work.

See details: wordofdecor.com

Hi,

You do not make the change in wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td-mobile-plugin.php like in my example
$theme_options = get_option( 'td_011' );

https://prnt.sc/mv165e
https://www.screencast.com/t/NclX3sIf

Using the mobile theme with integrate amp, the amp post/page will look like mobile theme
amp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/AWy6U5GQrb
mobile theme without amp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9fIX8PKMM6
Also place clear all cache.

Thank you!

Hi,

That depends, what changes are you making and where? The mobile theme uses a predefined template for posts, category pages, author pages etc. Pages will display only the content you enter in the mobile editor, as mentioned in the guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
So each page requires two versions, one for desktop and one for mobile. The homepage on mobile is also predefined, there will be a top grid with three featured posts, then the content entered in the mobile editor, then a latest articles section.

If you have more questions please let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

That could only be done with modifications in a theme file, like mentioned by Calin in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-menu-social-icons/
I believe this is a request that is already added on our list.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Actually WP Super cache is rated quite good in reviews – https://www.isitwp.com/best-wordpress-caching-plugins-compared/
https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-caching-plugins/
While it may not be the best solution there is, it still is in the top caching plugins. AS far as I know this is the only caching plugin that works with the mobile theme properly. Maybe others do as well if configured in a right way, but I can’t say which one and what configuration unfortunately.

2. I tested a post from your website with both AMP validator and test
http://prntscr.com/mxn9hlhttp://prntscr.com/mxn9k5
http://prntscr.com/mxnakdhttp://prntscr.com/mxnanm
http://prntscr.com/mxnc62http://prntscr.com/mxnc8b
AMP is valid in the posts from what I can see. That message in the console seems to say something about a script. Are you sure it is a script loaded by the theme? What exactly is this script if it’s possible to find out?

This https://prnt.sc/mx7lwd is related to AMP auto ads, how exactly are you implementing the ads? Should be like this – http://prntscr.com/mxnext

That tag meta name=”viewport” is loaded by the AMP plugin in the head, only once
http://prntscr.com/mxngvh
Where exactly does it appear twice?

3. The menu icon appears and works just fine at the moment – http://prntscr.com/mxngvh
Let me know if I should check somewhere more specific.

4. I can’t say if this will be implemented at the moment, or if it is possible to do with the mobile theme. It is noted as a request and will be strongly considered.

6. This works in our tests and I haven’t seen similar topics about it. Maybe this is a specific situation where it does not work. If you want us to investigate provide admin login as well as cPanel if possible at contact@tagdiv.com.

7. Maybe it takes a while. I will add this for testing to check if it works as it should.

Thanks

Hi,

Using the mobile theme with amp you’ll get an special layout for Amp; you can use amp without mobile theme just be sure that you set to the classic like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/bWusLQ6Gyugt also please provide some screenshots with the damage that amp made to the text language from your website.

Thank you!
