Hi,
If you are using mobile theme please check our documentation about this plugin-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
I have made a test on your website and the Registration functionality should works as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/F57Pshue0U0 You will receive the blank page if you will access that email from the mobile devices, because you are using the Mobile Theme plugin and the registration page was made via such a plugin and the Mobile Theme does not recognize that shortcode. You need to cop that shortcode and paste it in the mobile editor when you edit the forum page, a section which can be found at the bottom of the editor page. Another alternative might be to disable the mobile theme.
Thanks for the message
Hi,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Lately, Google Page Speed Insight seems to change the layout and is not always reliable.
For mobile version you can use the mobile theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper_local_news%2F
You should follow our useful guide in that case from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
There are many optimization guides provided by our users here in the forum, some made by us, you could check some of them

Hi,
This usually happens when the account is not yet approved and Google is not yet serving the ads – http://prntscr.com/mjzy20
– https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/1722120
– https://support.google.com/adsense/troubleshooter/7049023
Some topics I found – https://techbegins.com/adsense-403-forbidden-error-complete-solution.html
– https://www.problogbooster.com/2015/01/adsense-403-forbidden-error-html-google-adsense-not-showing-ad-code-403-fix-solved-troubleshoot.html
This would explain the 403 errors. Somewhere you must have entered a code related to Adsense, either in the theme panel or the theme files. The theme doesn’t come with Adsense ads by default.
The mobile friendly test is somewhat inconclusive at times – http://prntscr.com/mk0272
Sometimes if the theme resources like the CSS is slow to load the result may be negative
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-have-two-problems-in-mobile-friendly-test/
Regarding the error for the wp-content folder you could check this discussion

Hi,
If you use the mobile theme this has a setting to deactivate the mobile menu login
– http://prntscr.com/mjzsn0
If you don’t use the mobile theme the login from desktop will be displayed on mobile
– http://prntscr.com/mjzt1l
Disabling that option will affect both desktop and mobile. However I could give you a code to remove it just for mobile, enter it in Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS->phones field
.td-menu-login-section {
display: none;
}
It will remove the login from mobile, while on desktop it will remain. You could give it a try.
Thanks
I have installed “tagDiv Mobile Theme” plugin and once I use to update mobile site content from the section under main content in editor. Now I do not see the mobile site content section which I can update. Please let me know if I am missing any setting.
Hello, love Newspaper. I’m sorted on desktop but having a problem on mobile. I’ve decided to use the mobile theme but I am having a problem.
1). The top level categories work great. You click in the menu and you get a nice simple listing of all the posts under that category
2). The problem is that all second-level (sibling categories) when clicked do not render a page populated with posts. If I move the sibling category out and to the top level then the mobile theme will render a page with those posts.
3). I’ve built the site to run off these categories and need the sibling categories to work on mobile???? Help!
4). If that is not possible I have found in the forum the code to remove sibling categories. But this only removes the siblings from the top of the 1st level page (above the grid) it does not remove the categories from the post
5). If the mobile theme does not work with sibling categories what is the CSS code to add to the mobile CSS editor to remove categories from all posts (including on each single post page). And of course not affecting the desktop display of the categories.
This is is the last wrinkle for me in my implementation. Any help would be awesome. Again great theme!
Cheers

Thanks Simion, am sure you guys are trying your level best to iron out the bugs.
In my opinion the auto load on mobile theme was more important as world over major traffic source now is mobile. If it can be incorporated in that, it will be awesome.
Till then if we turn off the mobile plugin, would the auto load function work on mobile?
For points 3 to 5, I will make a gif or take do a screen recording for you see.
We are keeping a close eye on GA and how auto load is helping page views, yesterday the pageview count was not going up, instead in the same view, it was just showing another loaded page in GA. Will recheck again and come back to you.
Thanks
ok The theme is working for mobile, however I don’t know where to modify it to add more to the homepage.
If style sheets ‘not loading’ — that is not a theme problem but system problem.
So, good to check F12 console view for errors, to ensure content actually loading.
Also try testing with GTmetrix.com — test as single post — and see if you have any issues with your setup.
Obviously if mobile styles are not loading, then desktop version would load for mobile as the responsive CSS needs to actually be there.
Common issues are mixed content – meaning some elements load via https, some set for http; or files not actually there.
I’ve never had a problem in the past getting my sites approved for Adsense however with this theme I am.
Here is the Adsense message:
Valuable inventory: Under construction
As stated in our Program policies, we may not show Google ads on pages or apps where content is unnecessarily difficult or frustrating to navigate or interact with. This includes pages or apps that are under construction, not functioning, or lead to error messages.
So I checked my site anfinson.ca with the new Google Search Console URL inspection tool. It tells me my page is not mobile friendly, clickable elements are too close together and content is wider than the screen. When I look at the errors, I can see why. Some of the theme CSS files are not being loaded. My robots.txt is set to allow the crawler to read everything except my admin login page.
I’m also getting a soft 404 error on this page. http://anfinson.ca/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/
I just updated the theme to 9.5 and am running the latest version of WordPress.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
For 1, may we suggest a Previous – Next navigation for the mobile theme then? It has the links, but those are not easy for mobile users to find. Something like the “Next Article” at the bottom of the mobile theme at https://www.slashfilm.com/captain-marvel-tv-spot-ready/. You can also slide to the next and previous article by just touching the screen.
Hi,
We are aware that there are issues with the auto load feature, we will try to fix them as quickly as possible.
1. It will not work on mobile if the mobile theme is active, this is true.
2. There will be an option added to be able to control how soon the next post loads, I can’t provide specific details about how this will work exactly. This should provide a smoother experience.
3. This should not happen if the option mentioned at point 2 will be added. The post will be loaded before the user reaches the footer.
4. Please provide some more details about this, what exactly is happening. I will try to recreate it and if there is an issue I will add it on the list.
5. We could investigate this on your website if possible. Post a link to where this happens and we will take a look.
The issue with the sticky sidebars is under investigation currently. Seems that starting from the second post it will not function correctly. It will be fixed.
From what I tested the post view count is increasing for the posts that are auto loaded. The count goes up. Let me know about followups to these questions.
Thanks
Hi,
You need to use the td mobile plugin that come with the theme version you are using, for example if you have Newspaper v9.1 the only mobile theme plugin that will work for you will be the one from that package.
So if you want you can update the theme to the last version 9.5 and use the mobile theme from the package that you have download or you check what version of newspaper you have and you send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and ask for mobile theme for your version of theme.
Thanks.

Hi,
1)Use a static page instead of Your latest posts (blog) -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7cXx81x83p Also, I have checked your website and it seems to work as properly.
2)I have made some tests on mobile and the registration section works as expected -> https://www.screencast.com/t/kBDsVBP2
3)The theme has dynamically configuration for SSL and if this function has been correctly setup the theme will be automatically switched to the SSL mode. Most important is to make sure if this configuration has been correctly made. Please check the following topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ssl-mixed-content-issue/
Thanks.

Hi,
There is a way you could do this. For example with a CSS code – http://prntscr.com/mjke46
Enter it in the Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section
.category .td-category-siblings {
display: none;
}
It will apply to category pages on mobile, and remove the category siblings from them. I could modify it if needed, let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
If you have the last version of theme v9.5 then you can make the mobile menu how you want -> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
Also you can use custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/14pxorQ1o
.header-search-wrap{
display: none;
}
Set the code in Newspaper>Theme panel>Advance css>phone, if you are using mobile theme set the code in Newspaper>Theme panel>Mobile theme >Custom code>css
Thank you!
Hi,
@sathyavcs This is not possible unfortunately, the mobile theme cannot be modified in a child theme. So modifications to it’s files can only be done directly.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately we did not tested that plugin with our theme, so if you want to try that plugin, please make first a full backup to your website.
Also if you have the newspaper theme v9.5 you can build your own mobile menu -> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,
You could use the footer text field, this will show up in the footer when the mobile theme plugin is active – http://prntscr.com/mjf88w
So the text will appear in both desktop and mobile with the mobile theme active.
Thanks
Hi I have the latest version of newspaper and uploaded the latest mobile theme plugin and installed it. But it simply doesn’t get activated and I dont even see an error message. Please help.
Hi,
If I understand correctly this is what you need -> https://www.screencast.com/t/fF5se875a
if is so then all you need to do is to set this custom code in Newspaper>Theme panel>Advance css > phones
.td-mobile-content .menu-item-has-children a {
width: 60%;
}
Also feel free to change the number percent after your needs!
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/iaw5kLJMSmsx
Also if you are using mobile theme please set the custom css in mobile theme.
Thank you.
