I checked and it’s abit close to what I’m looking for.
Just to be clear; if I want an ad to appear within the article, all I have to do is add [td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"] to anywhere I want within the article. I did this and it works for desktops but not mobile (I’m using the mobile plugin theme).
Is there anyway to get this working with the mobile theme?
Thanks.

Hi
Please download the theme again from themeforest and install it in your wordpress: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Make sure that you also delete the current version of mobile theme plugin then install it again after a fresh version of Newspaper is installed: http://screencast.com/t/mTIyeXYD
Let us know how it goes.

HI
1. Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to hide social icons from mobile menu: http://screencast.com/t/rd8nCpK0fM
.td-menu-socials {
display: none;
}
2. The current menu was designed to go over the entire screen and to change this are required some changes in menu’s structure. This is a complex task which involve lots of customizations and unfortunately I can’t provide a solution for the moment. If you really need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard my advice is to k=look for someone who can help you with implementation or hire a freelancer to do it for you as we can’t offer custom work at the moment.
3. The colors for mobile min can be changed from theme panel > theme colors: http://screencast.com/t/CmZfdVcrPB
4. You can make a add a new menu for mobile only editing theme’s code as follows:
– edit td_menu.php and add this line of code here: http://screencast.com/t/Rf59isOchm
'custom-menu' => 'Custom menu for mobiles'
– edit menu-mobile.php and add thei code here: http://screencast.com/t/ybU3TZ4yLhvu
wp_nav_menu(array(;
'theme_location' => 'custom-menu',
'menu_class'=> 'td-mobile-main-menu',
'fallback_cb' => 'td_wp_no_mobile_menu',
'link_after' => '',
'walker' => new td_walker_mobile_menu()
))
– go to Appearance > Menu and create a new menu, then assign it this location: http://screencast.com/t/8FQyVVnec3i The result should be like here: http://screencast.com/t/DqZniIQXAc
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
I do not know what happened after up-to-date version of theme. Mobile theme was properly working before upgrading to the latest version but after upgrading, thumbnail photos of each posts have disappeared and can’t find the reason.
please check it from this link.
Hello shoguns60,
Please ensure that you have right added the Ad codes in the correct field for Article Top and Bottom Ads for Mobile Theme sections like this -> http://screencast.com/t/P1XjevjGXxMl I have tested on my side and everything seems to work as properly. Try to clear all your caches and test again.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Good evening,
I am beyond frustrated right now. My mobile theme is not working properly. Hopefully if I give all of the information here, someone will be able to fix this for me. My website is http://www.mentalhealthsuggestions.com. All that you have to do to see the problem is to visit it first on a desktop browser and then on a mobile browser.
On the desktop browser you will see backgrounds, graphics, and featured images.
I used two separate websites to test for mobile optimization. The first site I used was responsinator.com. Responsinator.com shows everything working properly on mobile devices.
Then I used the Google Developers Mobile Friendly test and it showed a very different picture. It showed no images rendering.
I wanted to know which of the two was correct so I used my own Iphone 5s and used the mobile browser. It showed the same website that Google Developers Mobile Friendly test showed. No images, backgrounds, banners, or anything else.
I have no idea what is going on right now. I don’t know why some mobile device testing websites show everything to be okay while other websites show nothing rendering properly. I don’t know why it doesn’t render properly on my own phone.
I am pulling out my hair here. Please help me.
Hello,
I have recently updated to version 7.3 and found that main page does not show thumbnails. I’ve seen other posts complaining about this in the mobile theme but not in the main page.
Is there anything I can do to fix it? If I’ve reverted back to 7.0 the site works as expected.
Any help would be fully appreciated.
Thanks!!
Hi Admin, i inserted adsense codes in the mobile theme setting but they are not appearing on mobile don’t know why!! i did the as described here : https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Why those ads on top and bottom are not appearing on the same article on mobile WHY! http://everythingdogsandcats.com/2016/08/04/two-dogs-dragged-for-miles-on-leads-4×4-with-children-inside/
Hello sniperetn,
Please try to download again the theme from the Theme Forest because we have fixed the issue regarding on Mobile theme but the version of it has not been changed…it is still 7.3 version. Also, please notice that we recommend the FTP method because this is the surest one in this regard. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks.
Hello 0046jt,
I think that you do not fully understand our Mobile theme concept. So, please notice the mobile plugin has been designed to have very basic structure, clear and very fast. The mobile theme does not recognize the Visual Composer shortcode and all the pages which are created in Visual Composer will not be rendered in mobile mode. The homepage using this mobile plugin will contain the Big Grid module on the top of the page will display only the posts which belonging to the Featured Category, some text but only if it will be added in Mobile Editor from Visual Composer and at the bottom of the page will appear the Latest Articles which display the latest posts. For more information about this concept, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
However, if you are unhappy with this feature, please notice that you can simply turn off this plugin because it is an optional one and then the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsiveness mobile mode.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello midronepro,
Unfortunately, we have an issue regarding on mobile theme and this has been fixed in the latest updated that still remained 7.3 and that’s why the Envato Toolkit did not notice the update. Please try to re-update your theme and check again the results. Also, please notice that we recommend the FTP method because this is the surest one in this regard. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello adamuiowa,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are not using the latest version of the theme. Please try to update it (Newspaper 7.3) with the Visual Composer (4.12), clear all your caches and test it again. Also, I have noticed that you are using the mobile theme plugin for your mobile mode and that’s why the embed code from Twitter is not working. Please try the theme without mobile theme plugin, only with default mobile mode and check the results. As you can see, the mobile plugin has very basic structure, it is too sensible and it has been designed to be very fast, clean and easy to use.
Thanks for your understanding!
HI
The mobile theme works only for mobile devices, not for tablets so there is nothing to be deactivated.
If this is not what you mean please provide more details about what you’re trying to do so we can inspect it closer and get back to you with a more accurate answer.
Thanks!
HI
Thanks for your suggestion, I’ve added it on our todo list and when the time comes developers will consider it for future updates. However this may take some times as we have a very long list with feature requests and we have to take them one by one.
A temporary solution would be to use media queries with css in theme panelo > custom code > custom css:
@media (min-width: 768px){
.single .td-post-featured-image{
display: none!important;
}
}
This code will hide the featured image on posts for desktop and tablets and on mobile they will be visible.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!
Hi
Try to download theme again from themeforest and install it in your wordpress, clear all caches then test again.
Also make sure that you delete the current version of mobile theme plugin and install the new one included in theme’s path.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
I’ve got a few pages on my website built with the Visual Composer, however, I noticed that these are not visible in mobile view due to the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin.
Is there any quick fix where I can show my content built with the Visual Composer in mobile view while still having the Mobile Theme plugin activated. I saw that there is a mobile editor where I could switch to classic mode and paste the content but just wondering if there is a simpler option so I don’t have to update the mobile editor every time I make a change in the Visual Composer.
Thanks!
Hey… loving Newsmag!
I’ve got a feature request or does anyone know how to do this.
I found the setting for “Featured Images” inside the Theme Panel and I see there is a way to turn them off or on.
I have a need to turn them off for desktop on the post page but want them to show on mobile.
It would be nice to add 2 selectors…. Show featured image desktop, Show featured image mobile.
I still want them to always show on the homepage.
Anyone know a way to do this?
Thanks,
Joel
I realize this. What I am saying is that when I am making changes in the mobile theme setting nothing is happening. I set everything to yellow and nothing changed.
Hi,
I decided to deactivate the mobile theme and now the pages are working properly. If I wanted to change the Menu background and header colours, where would I find the CSS for this? Many Thanks
Hi,
I saw this issue on many posts but I am using Envato Toolkit plugin to update my theme. The last fix for the mobile is not available and Envato toolkit shows no new updates.
i downloaded the mobile theme plugin but the problem is still there. no thumbs, no logo, no social icons…etc.
Please publish the updated version so that it is detected by Envato toolkit.
I recently updated my site from 6.6 to 7.3 on Monday, August 1. I am having a problem with the new theme that I can’t seem to figure out. The background on the mobile menu for some reason is transparent on all pages and posts. Wasn’t that way before I updated. I have checked the Theme Panel and there’s a color selected for each section.
Here’s the address to my site – http://evscicats.com.
Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way.
Jerrad
Hello manjiri,
I have checked your website in the mobile mode and I have notice that your mobile theme working as properly, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/x23z4iDbiV Probably, you are referring to the Big Grid module from the top of the page which is not, right? Please notice that this module does not occur because you have not any posts in Featured category. This Big Grid has been designed to display only the posts which are in Featured Category….also, if you do not have nay posts in this category, this will not appear. For more information about our mobile theme concept, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about this case and also, please be more specific so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Petter,
I have checked your website in the mobile mode and your images still working as expected. Probably, you have a caching problem which is temporary. Also, please notice that we recommend using the WP Super Cache as caching plugin and not WP Rocket which is known to be a problematic plugin for our theme. If this problem will reappear, please replace the WP Rocket with WP Super cache plugin to obtain best results in the theme.
Thanks for your understanding!
