Hello,

You can disable the back to the top from Theme Panel -> Template Settings -> ToTop button => https://www.screencast.com/t/JVYklvqk (if you have the mobile page or mobile resposive)

Thank you!

Hey,

we have problem with our site mobile menu and mobile search, they won’t show/work properly.

We have been using Newspaper-theme couple of years, and mobile menu and mobile search worked fine before. These problems came recently.

Our site is: https://halloota.com/

So, I tested the TagDiv Newspaper Default theme with the Google Mobile Friendly testing tool. Screenshot of the Google test result

The test result: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly/result?id=8M2iKKmwbUhHvAHJwHagRQ

This shows the video Outside the Viewport, and this is what the Google Bot is seeing and resulting in errors.

If we can fix this issue, it will help countless other website owners and publishers as well.

I don’t fully agree, I have been a web dev for a long time and this has to do with how the video is rendering on the page (read my previous reply in detail).

I need to see and test a demo page on the Newspaper Life Pro theme to see how it renders on mobile. TagDiv did not embed a video in a single page on the Demo website to let us see how it looks and how to make it Full Widh, not even in the documentation.

I just want them to show us a page with embedded video, let’s see how it looks and renders.

The issue is widespread because the majority of existing websites aren’t rendering the video correctly. I have turned off Lazy Loading for videos on mobile for now to see if works, but apparently do not.

We’re here to solve the issue, not put it under the carpet. Since it is impacting my SEO and revenue, this is a serious issue.

The core developers at TagDiv can understand the technical issues I am talking about here.

Ok. So, I did some research and did my own testing. Looks like when the Google Bot crawls the page, the YouTube video is actually Outise the viewport because when you see this example page on a mobile device/browser inspector: https://www.teslaoracle.com/2020/08/10/giga-austin-landscaping-drone-video/

You can see that before coming to its final form, the video is expanded vertically and horizontally, it settles after a few moments. This is what is causing the issue and it’s definitely coming from the theme not anything to do with my custom CSS as I also tried removing the CSS and re-testing.

This is causing huge SEO issues for my website and has given a dent to my traffic hence lost revenue, please fix it and provide and update to the theme, so that publishers like me can recover from the loss.

Hello,

You can’t have the same footer from the desktop on a mobile theme.
For the mobile theme you can customize it from Theme Panel-> Mobile Theme -> footer => https://i.imgur.com/7ABDfSe.png You can’t edit it with tagDiv Composer.

Thank you!

I did not make changes to any files, just some additional CSS through the Theme Panel.

The error started occurring after the new update.

I think it’s happening because I am stretching the video to Full Width horizontally. In the Demo websites, you showed Full Width videos on demo pages but when I installed the theme, it kept margins on both sides, I had to look at the code of your Demo website to make the videos go full-width and there is nothing recommended in Documentation for the best way to make videos full width on mobile devices.

Please recommend the best way to make videos Full Width like they are on Demo Pages.

Hi, when opening perspektive-online.net on a mobile-Phone there are these two problems:

1. you can not click on the current articles to load more, the button doesnt work.
2. and with the “most read” there is also a problem: When you press “load more” there, you will find again the same 5 articles.

You can find a video where it is shown here: https://we.tl/t-UFFRiOeg7u

A “mobile-theme” is used.

Can you help? Thanks!

Hi,

There is an issue with the share buttons from a plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/Z1ndmRV.png. It seems those are not working with our mobile theme plugin.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

Thanks for sharing the articles but unfortunately none of them is similar to the issue that We are facing on our website with the tagDiv newspaper theme.

In the issue that we are facing, our website “https://www.eurasiantimes.com/” articles is not opening in the Google News mobile app. If you open to Google News mobile app and then search EurAsia Times in the app, then if you click on any of the Eurasian Times stories, the blank page is coming within the Google News app.

Thanks for the reply, but on the mobile theme is it possible to use the active plugins in the desktop version? (for example whatsapp button, etc.)

Hi,

To add the social icons, you need to edit with tagDiv Composer, search after social icons and set the link for social platforms https://www.screencast.com/t/kATmr6b3yg
You can manage the social icons for the mobile menu from the Theme Panel -> Social/APIS -> Social Networks => https://prnt.sc/10112uu
Please make sure the links contain the https://www.

Thank you!

Hello,

Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47 you need to deactivate the tagdiv mobile theme plugin.
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ you need to activate the plugin.
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

Hi, I finished creating my site, now I have some questions about the “mobile theme” option of newspaper:
1) to use the “mobile theme” do I have to install the “tagDiv Mobile Theme” plugin? After installing the plugin, will the “mobile theme” become operational immediately?
2) if I wanted to return to the responsive version, what should I do?
3) does the mobile theme have a totally new layout? Do any plugins (for example push notifications) continue to work?

Hi akashdeep305,
When the mobile theme plugin is used, then this will used only the “Transitional Mode” mod for amp. If is used only amp without mobile theme, you need to use the “Reader” option to work with our theme.
For further support please provide a link to your website where I can see the amp problem with ” page with loading icon and nothing open”.
Thank you!

Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin or mobile page for your website, then you’ll need to be sure that you are using a cache plugin that supports mobile cache to can deliver different cache when you are on mobile and when you are on desktop, otherwise it will be deliver the cache version that was last time made (sometimes will be mobile version, sometimes desktop version).
Thank you!

I think I understood the problem:

– there is a bug in your theme: if the “Slide” element is used in tagDiv Composer and a value is assigned to the autoplay option (“Autoplay slider (at x seconds)”, the site crashes in the responsive version on mobile phone.
Check what I said about this bug, thanks.

Hello,

It seems you have the mobile theme plugin enabled; please disable it, clear the cache, and check after.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions

-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).

I want to make the theme like the desktop version. Most of the theme does that automatically but I can’t do that with this theme.
This is my site https://bluetechnews.com/
I customized it and when I go to mobile view from the desktop it looks the same. But when I enter from mine or any other mobile it completely changes. I don’t know why it’s happening. Can’t find any video tutorial to solve it.

From the desktop, it looks like this https://screenpal.com/watch/c062DkV5SKC
From mobile, it looks like this https://screenpal.com/watch/c062DpV5SKH

Please help me as fast as you can.
