Hello @newspatron!
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website. A good choice for the page speed, it could be the mobile layout which contains less elements because it can improve a bit your page speed.
There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.
To increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

Please check the tutorials from those platforms gt metrix and Google Pagespeed Insights and I’m sure you can increase the page speed.
Please note that page speed or optimization is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Thank you for understanding!
Hello!
I’m sorry that your experience with our theme wasn’t that great. I can understand how this can be frustrating for you.
We try to test the plugins so that you can have a real trust in them. I’m sorry, we cannot have so many plugins that are tested regularly with our theme.
However, we can offer our custom work team, which might be helpful for your situation: https://tagdiv.com/web-development-services/ Do not hesitate to contact our team, and they can help you with your business.
For the formatting issue that you have, I suggest that you use the responsive version of mobile pages and not the mobile theme + AMP. So, your site can be fully customized. If your pages were built with any other plugin builder than ours, then there could be a conflict between the elements on your pages.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, for sharing your specific needs with us, and for your patience. We value your feedback and business. We always aim to improve, and your comments will help us do that.
Thank you!
Hi,
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions; please check if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edited with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please note that if Composer makes a page, then the content won’t be displayed on the Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hello,
If you referring to setting a color for each category, you can check this topic => https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-duplicate-titles-missing-categories-category-tag-colour/
Thank you!
UPDATE: I’ve operated the site with all four of the Event Calendar plugins deactivated over today and I’m still having the same issue. I was told from your end previously when we were having the issues with the CPT and tagdiv edit that the Events Calendar plugin was causing all of the issues. It does affect whether or not we can edit in tagDiv, but it’s not the root cause. Something else related to the mobile page is causing the formatting break. The mobile page seems to be overriding the homepage and shop page somehow. When we fix either the desktop or mobile page, the other breaks. It happens with or without Events Calendar activated/deactivated. And by fix, I mean we go into the tagdiv and resave the page. It fixes the formatting on whatever page we are resaving, then breaks the formatting of the other (mobile or desktop). So only one format is functioning properly at any given time – either the desktop or mobile. They will not function properly together. Please advise on how we can remedy this. I have also submitted a ticket to the Events Calendar company with regard to the issue. Mobile theme issue is on your end, however. I have sent an email with the credentials to get into my site. But please let me know when you do because it’s going to break the formatting and I will need to go in and make sure to reset it so that my shop page doesn’t go wonky for my ads.
I have uploaded content on various pages like About Us, Contact Us, and Disclaimer but it does not show up on the website, Only the backlinks in the content are showing up.
Similarly, I am facing the same issue with other post pages.
Moreover, the mobile version of the website has a changed theme altogether which looks quite bad at the user end.
I am attaching the URL to the pages that are showing this error:

Good day and thank you for your time. I am having issues with the newspaper theme. When I look at the theme, on my phone it looks one way, but when I look at the theme on the monitor (while clicking the mobile display) it appears differently. For example, the front page (in the mobile view) shows the different rows that have been created. But when I look at the site, on a mobile phone, all I get are posts and I can not find a way to show the whole page correctly.
The other issue is, on a mobile phone I can not see the pages when I click on the menu but I can see them in the mobile view. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am going nuts trying to figure out what the heck is going on.
I think i figured it out…i hope
Hi,
I am struggling to setup my website by using a mobile page. I do not want to use the mobile plugin, since I find it not very flexible. I managed to figure out how to get a mobile theme, header and footer, but the follwing is happening:
When I edit the mobile page and save, the mobile template is seen on both desktop as mobile.
When I login again and edit the desktop version, the desktop version is seen on both tablet as mobile.
I clear cache every time and also when I am logged in it looks like everything is fine (mobile page on mobile and desktop view on desktop) But when I log out, i get the situation as described. It’s very slowly driving me insane and I would appreciate some insights and directions.
Hello,
I just launch my website http://www.sauvonsleurope.eu with your beautiful theme and I have 2 small requests :
1) I can’t hide the “Newspaper theme” advertisment screen on mobile yet I have disabled all advertisements in the theme panel. I don’t know why.
2) The jetpack twitter widget on my footer doesn’t work only for mobile.
Thanks !
Hello Jim!
You can edit every cloud template with the TagDiv Composer. We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A
The element Posts Form Taxonomies can be insert into the form, so the user can choose the category of that post.
Uninstall the Mobile theme plugin and see the changes.
Thank you!
Hello dear Newspaper Theme Users. I have the latest update of the theme and I try to solve some issues with newly (and so waited) User Reviews module.
I follow the steps on the guide “how to” but something is not quite right.
First of all, I use this theme on a portal with reviews (category) with subcategory (ex. Movies, Games).
Now, I’ve created multiple Criteria for Reviews (criterias are different for Games and Movies). Then, I created a Single Post from Cloud, special for reviews articles, and edited with TD Composer where I inserted possibility for User Review. So far so good for now.
Now, I have posts from reviews category with subcategory (Movies, Games). Each one of them contain, indeed, reviews with stars respectively, percentage. For each one of this posts I need to edit with TD Composer and select that Single Post created especialy for posts with Reviews for user to rate their own reviews for movie/game. For Movies I used specifically criterias, so for Games.
Now, the issues. That Single Post created (is based on Single Post Review (2) from Cloud), after I selected to apply on a Single Post with a review on it does not look ok on pagination. The post itself it’s streched to all the post with sidebar under it. I try all the possibilities with TD Composer to align this side by side (post content left, sidebar right) but failed every time, no matter what. How to fix this?
The other question is, how to assign automaticaly to apply that Single Post created specially with User Reviews on posts form reviews category with subcategory Movies, Games?
Another one issue is that Single Post with User Review it doesn’t show on mobile browsing. Ofcourse I created Mobile version of that Single Post (auto-copy of desktop vers.) but doesn’t apply. It just doesn’t work (post looks ok on mobile but without User Review in it).
Please help! Much apprecited!
Jim
Hello!
Actually, we have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
Hi,
You activate the mobile theme plugin, deactivate it, and clear the cache.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
I have set up everything perfectly, just need to change the mobile menu. It is still showing according to the default theme but On desktop, I have customized the menu according to my requirements now I want the same menu on mobile look as well. Please help me out.
Hi Anamaria, thank you for your answer!
In my testing ambient, I have deactivated all the plugins except
tagDiv Cloud Library
tagDiv Composer
tagDiv Mobile Theme
tagDiv Social Counter
(these are the only plugin that I’ve installed with the theme).
Unfortunately, it’s still not working
My phpversion is 7.4
Thank you

Hello!
Yes, you can. But, I do not recommend it. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please note that if a page is made by Composer, than the content won’t be displayed on Mobile theme version. You should create the content with the Mobile Editor.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check if you have the necessary thumbs size enabled for mobile theme from Theme Panel-> Block settings. This can be found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/N18dR3qZrh -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
The mobile theme requires the “265×198” and the “741×486” thumbnail sizes in order to show the featured images properly.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have my site up and running and have the Event Calendar on my site as a needed feature. I’m having an ongoing issue where every single time I go into my site – it’s a magazine site so it needs to be updated frequently – the mobile pages (tagdiv mobile pages) are breaking my links and my site unformats – both mobile and desktop. I don’t even have to edit anything, I just have to sign in.
I have to literally turn my events section off even when I make no edits and then it’s taking several attempts at deactivating and reactivating the Events plugins for my mobile site to function properly. It’s a crap shoot as to how many times it takes. It also seems to happen randomly. I randomly check my formatting several times throughout the day and sometimes it’s broken for no reason. It’s also throwing off the formatting of my main site and making everything spread as if it’s a mobile site.
The most important issue is that it’s breaking my subscription page when people are sent to the page to subscribe to my magazine. I have several ads running and I’ve clicked on them myself and it’s a mess when this happens. I’m losing sales because the formatting on the screen is a mess. This is becoming increasingly cumbersome as my site traffic grows. It’s small at the moment because the site is new, but growing daily.
What can I do to remedy this sans rebuilding a new site on an entirely different platform? I need the events section on my site. It’s one of my biggest selling points for the public to be able to upload events to my page.
Please do not send me links to the information on responsive vs mobile theme. I’ve been through this with you already. I have to have responsive because mobile theme doesn’t allow me edit in tagdiv at all. Please help! Thank you.
Hi,
If you have the m obile theme plugin activated, then this can’t be done. You can try to deactivate the mobile theme for the homepage from the Gutenberg editor using the following option => https://www.screencast.com/t/axXRJsWby and the responsive version will display.
Thank you!

I installed a newspaper theme for my website, jobstamil.in. Recently, I checked PageSpeed Insights for the website and found that its performance is too low when I have the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin activated (Reference: With Plugin https://prnt.sc/4CQE6nKnncEb , and without plugin https://prnt.sc/ox-vZue4xSCW). However, when I removed both plugins, the page speed increased to 90+ and above. I am unable to use the website without these plugins. Could you please advise me on how to reduce the errors associated with these plugins and improve the performance?
