Hi
I use Open Sans Hebrew font which was applied everywhere in the Theme Panel.
However, while in desktop all is ok, in mobile, the font of sub title of posts in the main menu only page is still the default one.
Have tried to add font plugin but the problem remained the same.

Check if the Jetpack – mobile theme is enabled, if it is disable it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-mobile-theme/
If this is not the case disable all plugins, enable only the Visual Composer plugin and check if the issue is still there.

Thanks for your email. I understand that this site does not support the responsive view. In the same time, if you download the “full version” (please see the printscreen “view the full version”) – the page looks fine! Therefore, would you please tell me how to “switch off” the other mode, if viewed from the mobile (the printscreen I was sending you before). Am I making it clear enough?

Have ads in content top and bottom that I’m turning off for mobile and tablet portrait, but they’re still showing up. Checked the cache and cleared browser cache but I’m still having the issue. Can’t think of anything else that could affect this, so seems like a bug to me. That sound right?

If the script/stylesheets are already moved if don’t appear on desktop so for mobiles the test should be more rigorous that is why this notifications appear.
The js and css files are already moved to the footer so you don;t need to do it again.
I’m not sure what you could try to get rid of those errors, I suggest you try the recommendations from google insights:

* https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/OptimizeCSSDelivery
You can also try to find solutions for this online or search for other ways to remove the “render-blocking JavaScript and CSS” for mobiles.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have settings for responsive view/mobile view. The content from your homepage/post page is just styled for mobiles screens and it’s the same as on desktop screens.
We plan to improve this system in the future and add options for this but at the moment this can only be achieved via css and use the media queries to target the mobile view and hide content.
This is the media query which you need to used to target the mobile view screens:

When I embed a video from Vimeo to a page or a post, the auto resize makes the iframe too tall, so there are black lines above and below the video.

I’ve tried this with the Vimeo embed code and also with just putting the Vimeo URL and letting the theme do it’s stuff. Both ways display and play the video OK. Apart from the black lines top and bottom.
The iframe should be 640*360. The width is always calculated right (640), but the height is calculated as 384 and not 360. Making the black lines.
The same happens on desktop and mobile. It scales beautifully on a mobile, but still has the wrong height, causing the black lines.
Am I doing something wrong, or any suggestions on how to fix it?

I have investigated this and seems that the mega menu feature it bound by the header menu id that is why the menu breaks, changing it is not simple and you would need additional customization besides changing the menu id.
You could try to add menu items for both you menu then use css to hide the ones you want only on mobiles on desktop and reverse.

We are working on a bug fix and are testing the newspaper theme heavily. We have run into what we think might be a bug with the theme.
I know this may come as a surprise, but it only involves Internet Exploder, I mean Explorer. 🙂
The homepage loads fine in most desktop and mobile browsers/OS combinations we have tested, but in the following browser/OS combination, we are getting a blank homepage, with no content. It works in many IE browser versions, but these particular combinations of versions will only load the homepage (partially) and only in compatibility mode.
Windows 7 / IE 11 (works fine with IE 8,9 and 10 on Windows 7)
Windows XP / IE 7 (works fine with IE 8 on Windows XP)
We are testing with browser stack. All other Windows and Internet Explorer browser combinations seem to work properly.

When using with the two combinations listed above, we have to manually activate compatibility mode to get the site to load and it only loads partially. The smaller article thumbnails on the right, don’t show up when in compatibility mode.

note florida site was just moved to the theme about 10 days ago, and is not yet fully optimized.
I was actually waiting on the new version of theme, and I need to optimize the logos (e.g., no mobile logo, footer logo, and the top logo off center due to white space in logo for the old theme layout … etc.
Well, all those ad networks, and the stuff like variables on the cdn, etc., are stuff “off the site” which are difficult to optimize. Generally once you have more than 3 ad networks and affiliate systems running, it will kill your speed. Trade off on income vs speed, and you know which one usually will win there 😉 … often you can try to address some of those issues with the ad networks.
The weirdo thing with the http + https issue with Google ads, I’ve not yet been able to sort out, as we’re seeing that too for the first time as of December/January. Maybe Jan. 1 ? It’s possible Google is doing some kind of redirect for legacy ad units in their network to force https loading of http content coming off client servers (client http://image.jpg –> https://google.image.jpg) but guessing on that.
80 mobile and 90 desktop are the “ideal” … but arguably you can test your score with AdSense “off” to get a more realistic score since we’ve seen that Google doesn’t penalize your score in real world use for their own sites not being optimized for their own testing system (!).

1. The theme is built based on a 3 column grid layout so a full width page will use all three columns.
2. You can add a custom css class to the row you don’t want on mobile screens, like this: http://screencast.com/t/7f8qM2Xap3 then use it to hide that row on mobiles using the class you added.

after setting theme_location to my custom_menu in /menu-mobile.php – mobile menu changes as desired but main nav mega menu dropdowns do not load (and are not being output in the html code), and other stuff like the padding doesn’t seem to apply.

Oh thank you! It works well, but there is some image glitch in a mobile version: originally I have a white logo on a transparent background, and it looks OK in desktop version. But in a mobile version I don’t see the logo – only blue button. What’s up?

Hello, I’ve some questions about homepage layout:
1. I’m trying to use “posts grid” from visual composer, in a full width column, but it doesn’t matter if I set 1,2,3 or 6 columns in the “posts grid” template: posts are shown always in three columns. Why?
2. Is there any way to hide a “row” and all it’s elements when user has a mobile device?
3. If I use ONLY block 13 + sidebar in my homepage, could this be bad for seo? I don’t see any option to have a pagenav at the end of the section, but only the “load more” button. Not sure if this could be a bad thing, that’s why I’m asking.
