Dear Support,
For your introduction, the performance score can be A(95%) in GTmetrix and 85/100 in Google page speed.
However, I got 85% in GTmetrix and 57/100(Desktop) / 15/100 (Mobile) in Google page speed.
May you suggest some method or provide some coding to optimize the website?
my website: https://lovewedpin.com
Thanks.
Hello
So as the title says I’m currently facing problems with my site loading times.
I did caching, optimized pictures and everything I can and today I checked my site speed and it was terribly slow!
They recommended reducing CSS and JS, but I’m not confident enough to go messing with the theme code, I request your kind help to looking with me into this issue, you’re the only who could help diagnosing Newspaper issues.
Thanks I appreciate you

The default official AMP plugin from Automattic works great with the theme and has since day one; so that is obviously a good fallback for mission critical sites to work with AMP.
Of course no AMP plugin will fix issues within content that are pre-existing and not AMP-compatible (like inline HTML in some cases, inject javascript or other code where not supposed to be; rogue plugins, et al.).
Some sites moving away from AMP, as Google now trying to make it a “publishing platform” to monetize for showing content as an application, vs traditional web formats. For many folks, simply having mobile friendly optimized responsive site may be better choice unless very high traffic with ads non-blocked via AMP when cached on Google cloud.
For “most” bogs, AMP has no benefit for the user or site owner.
My two cents anyway; having been using it since it was in BETA and following Google’s latest zig zags with trying to get people to adopt this format for their entire sites, which is impractical and perhaps stupid to buy into a Google concept that might be abandoned at some point while traditional responsive pages will work forever.

Hi,
I have checked your website and it seems that problem happens due to your Autoptimize plugin, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/x9qAjZJsDmo Please check the configuration of this plugin because not all of the options from there are working properly, sorry!
Thank you!
Hello !
Unfortunately the speed you achieve is not only theme related so it kinda makes a chain reaction. There are many factors like hosting / plugins and you have to verify every link of it in order to optimize everything at it’s best. Also you can find here some tips and tricks on improving the page speed: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/

.td-post-featured-image {
display: none;
}

Hi Calin,
Thanks for your return.
I checked and all the lights are green.
There is just the time to load the color from blue to red … 🙁

Hi,
Please check the new optimization from Google’s end. Try disabling optimize option from your Google AdSense account.

From what can I see this loading is made by faviconicon and foodtradenews.com
Also please check the plugin, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Hi Aboda,
I have checked your website again and I saw that you are using the Facebook Pixel. Please notice that major of your problem for AMP happen due to this, sorry!

Hi Vlad,
Thanks for your reply! Now I understand, the Google Pagespeed Module activated on our server (to optimize images in the frontend, original .jpg) doesn’t optimize the images on AMP. This might solve the problem. BUT
The reason why I activated this module is, Google came up with the following warning:
Provide images in modern formats 0,45 s possible load saving
Image formats such as JPEG 2000, JPEG XR and WebP often offer better compression than PNG or JPEG, enabling faster downloads and lower data consumption. Learn more.
How to achieve this on your AMP? Can this be optimized by the theme AMP? I want to score 100% pagespeed not just 88%.
Hi,
Our developers team are working to optimize the for google fonts and theme style for coming updates.

Hi, it’s http://www.amisun.com.
We have Robin image optimizer plugin, if that could be the culprit. It all started after the latest Newspaper update and affects android mobile and tablet only.
Thank you so much!!
Hi,
In major cases, these errors happen due to your untested plugins. Please disable all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Also, you can take a look over this topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/fix-for-autoptimize-aggregate-css-files-breaking-amp/

WE recently made the mistake migrating to Godaddy managed hosting and have had numerous problems with the CDN service not working with servers with basic things like Gzip not functioning on all remote locations outside of the US and slow load times. Ok, I get it we made a mistake going with these guys. I wanted to ask the community which hosts offer a managed hosting solution that can host 2 sites running Newspaper and 3 other sites. I’m looking at Bluehost, Kinsta and Siteground. I’m concerned that with Siteground running NGINX it will be harder to optimize, otherwise they seem great. Any feedback / advice would be much appreciated.
For anyone else on the struggle bus like me, the problem is that I’m using WP Rocket “Optimize CSS Delivery”. It does weird things to the CSS.
WP Rocket > Settings > File Optimization > CSS FILES > Uncheck Optimize CSS Delivery.
The other options seem to work fine.
