Hello cookingpanda,
Please notice that our theme has been designed to use only the Adsense code provided by Google and also, you can create your ad using the div method, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ As a suggestion, you can simply use ‘adrotate’ as it seems to work properly with our theme.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I want to add one more ad along with Adsense in ‘Article bottom ad’ area. For example, after the adsense, content.ad should appear.
Both don’t work together, but if I remove one, other one is working.
Is there a way to make it work?
Or at least above the ‘Related posts’ area?
Kindly support
Hi As per your suggestion i did and it worked. Issue solved.
Another issue
When i placed Logo in theme panel it size (272 x 90px) It was not showing complete pic. Please check the links to get to know in detail about the issue.

Nope. You should only have *one* h1 tag on your home page, which would normally be something for SEO that is static like a block of info about your publication. H3 is most often used for headlines on news pages as they are not sticky, meaning if you have 20 items on home page, then 20 new items post, then the other 20 drop off home page and are no longer there, so have zero “long tail” value for SEO for exact phrase matching.
h1 and h2 tags most commonly used for static content in relation to the actual article/news item or page, not the other content linking to it. So, h1 for a title, h2 for a sub-head; h3 for supplemental headlines which are more indicative of a section head, than simple bolded text items.
Welcome to SEO 🙂
Google does not necessarily provide more “juice” to something with h2 or h3 tag on your home page. Almost everytihng other than h1 is pretty much presentational.
So you can use h3 tags on your mid-story sub-titles on an article while h2 might be used for main story sub-title. H1 for main title.
Only you can optimize your site for SEO; theme can’t do it for you. So, yes, adding h1 and h2 tags to your home page with static information is useful. Not so much with transitory items. You can of course make any heads for sections as h2 using blocks in the composer (e.g., “Book Reviews” as h2 sub head above a block of book review items…). Totally up to you.
Hi there, as per picture here:
http://smallcaps.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/SCs-3-things.jpg
1) need the height gap reduced between articles.
2) most popular headline to right align the first line and indent the second, not the other way around.
3) change sidebar and search button colours to orange (#de7125), not black.
Thanks in advance. 🙂
Hi
The theme was was tested only with google ad-sense ads and also banner ads. We didn’t tested other ad systems and we cant guarantee that they will work fine. Also the theme can’t control ad’s content, it only renders the code and if that code generate an output is displayed on the page.
Thanks!
hey. i have a website with newsmag theme. it’s very nice, but my ads don’t see on mobile. google adsensse it’s ok. with another ads is the problem. can you help me, please?
Hello cookingpanda,
As I have explained you above, we cannot offer support for other Google Adsense partners but only for Google Adsense because the theme ad system is tested only with this type of Ad. If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom modifications at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
I would like a non-admin user to change any of the advert images without giving them access to the rest of the Theme panel, could you tell me the best way to do this?
The thing is…I don’t have Google Adsense (and can’t go back) and I think I’m not the only one. And AMP has a limited amount of accepted advertisers. That’s why I (and probably a few others) need a fast mobile theme, but not AMP. 🙂
Hello cookingpanda,
Please keep in mind that our theme only recognizes the Google Adsense for Ads and if you want to use other ads, you should try the DIV’s method, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ I am not aware of what type of certified partner you are talking about.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Please try to put the amazon code inside a post in text mode and see if it gets displayed. We have not tested our ad spots with amazon ads but they should work. If you ads are non adsense we recommend using this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Test the ads on a wp default theme as well to see if the ads are accepted by wordpress at all.
Alternatively you can use the adrotate plugin to bypass the theme ad system entirely.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Not an SEO issue. Blocks on a home page or index page which contain your story indexes need to be there for page to render. Google reads text on your page, not the DOM elements that build layouts. Even if you move your “mega menu” to external file, it still needs to load on the page when viewed by a robot or other element.
You’re better off doing “fetch as Google” and using Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile friendly check, GTMetrix.com test on your post, as barometers.
SEO is most affected by your title tags, h1 tags, actual text relevant to the title tag and permalink, the amount of original unique info on the page on topic, and external links to your site from other sources that cite your page as relevant to that, even if it’s just social sharing.
The HTML used to build the DOM, does not “hurt” your SEO, unless you have two paragraphs on a page and then a mega menu, and 50 blocks of other stuff unrelated to that one page.
Just food for thought having done SEO since March 1995.
Hi.
If it’s not a bug but a feature, then you need to fix consistency with the other filters. Because if you limit the post showed to 1, and choose another filter (e.g. category filter), then the 1 slide block renders normally with just one slide (which shouldn’t, according to the default design you mention).
Then if you do that, it would be useful to not allow the users putting value number 1 in the posts limit field of the said block, to protect them from making mistakes and scratching their heads if things don’t go as expected. Or you can also add this special instruction to the documentation page you directed me in your first answer.
But well, all this is so counter-intuitive. And what’s the point in making the user’s life harder than easier?
If the user chooses to show just 1 slide in the posts limit, then maybe there is a hidden need underneath, and perhaps they believe they can achieve the expected result with what they have.
Maybe there is a lack of a big non-sliding block such as the homepage post, for an important article at the top and maybe a couple important articles in the middle, which can be used multiple times across the page and doesn’t affect the background ads the site may have implemented.
The slide block could easily do the job and double up as Big Single Block and cover this need (and a further improvement would be to disable the display of the next and prev buttons on hover if there is just one slide in the slide block, for whatever the reason).
In any case, why don’t you consider it?
It’s friendly, honest feedback, to make your product even better than it already is.
It’s the latest version of Newsmag 😉
From your Themeforest account, “downloads.”

Hi,
Please use the specific div container recommended for non-adsense code – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ There is a specific css for this and the image will be centered – http://screencast.com/t/hpRz4Xay5ppZ
If you want to use the code like it is, you will need to create a custom css. Try this one – http://screencast.com/t/onzuoutGpE
.td-a-rec-id-sidebar div{
display: table;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
Thanks!
Why are my ads showing contorted and squished instead of being proper ads. An example from my site is: http://www.exposingthenewage.com/the-second-coming-of-jesus-metaphor-or-literal/
I copied and pasted the ad codes from Google Adsense into the ad sections of the theme panel. It shows it is working on my desktop but not on other people’s. Why is this happening?
Hi Catalin,
It appears that some custom javascript intended to load typekit to help elimintate the FOUC is causing the issue.
Bummer now is that the menu has appeared, but we have the FOUC (Flash of unstyled content) back now with the site. The typography loads in another typeface before rendering correctly. I had multiple tickets in the past on this issue and I was never able to resolve it directly with your support. We had to write our own code to solve it.
So now I am wondering how to solve the FOUC issue.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Bert

Hello.
Thank you for your answer, but I see my site whit this codes. Other people see the same error.
Thank you very much again!
Hello daemonlynx,
The theme adds automatically 2 types of Ad classes. If you are using the Google Adsense code for your Advertisement, your ad class will be -> .td-g-rec and if you are suing other ads, the class will be .td-a-rec.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your message!
I just upgraded to the new version of Newspaper that features the Say What template. Say What is nearly perfect for my purposes and I’ve found tweaking most things to my needs very easy.
However, I’m running into a BIG problem. On my existing sites I need the comment count box to display because it generates a lot of traffic. Readers what to see what other people are saying.
Previous Newspaper: I had it configured with Module 11 to display content on the main, category and tag pages. Under Block Settings I have Show Comment Count, Show Date and Author all enabled. This resulted in comment count displaying on post lists and in widget sidebars.
Say What Newspaper: Under Block Settings I have the same areas enabled, but comments do not appear in either post lists or sidebars when configured in the Say What VC template.
I am also running into a problem with [tagDiv] blocks showing the comment count icon as before when added to a widget sidebar in VC. I have [tagdiv] Block 21 activated in both the old version and Say What. Say What doesn’t show comment. regular widget blocks do.
I need a solution that displays comment counts when they are enabled. Is there a specific config that needs to be activated for comment counts to appear? If not is there a code hook that can activate it in custom code?
Below are examples of before and after (Say What) sidebar blocks.

Below are examples of before and after (Sawy What) post lists.

Note if you’re using the speed booster framework plugin, that might be issue; I don’t anymore.
Also note “some” plugins will add the query from their own hook into the enqueue, which can over-ride that function if loaded “later.” I ran into this with the WP YouTube Lyte plugin that snuck in the remove query thing at tail end of functions from itself (easy to hack the plugin to remove that; or de-enqueue the js, then manually add to the footer… )
Helps if you explore in the WordPress docs what some of this stuff does … note the numbers there: (10,2) ? You might need to adjust that ’10’ to “when” your function loads in relation to everything else.
Should also be self evident won’t work in child theme which is dumb CSS redirect to begin with.
$priority
(int) (Optional) Used to specify the order in which the functions associated with a particular action are executed. Lower numbers correspond with earlier execution, and functions with the same priority are executed in the order in which they were added to the action.
Default value: 10
So, in some cases depending on what other shenanigans you have going on, you might have to change the ’10’ to something like ’99’ — to load after everything else and thus actually affect the elements.
e.g.,
function project_dequeue_unnecessary_scripts() {
wp_dequeue_script( 'comment-reply' );
wp_deregister_script( 'comment-reply' );
}
add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'project_dequeue_unnecessary_scripts',100 );
So, play with that 🙂

Andrei,
Thanks for your help. Could I ask a couple more questions?
What options do I have for header styling on category home page posts?
It seems that most of the blocks have the same heavy horiz. line above post photo with white title inset into the colored tab.
Is there a way to use a lighter styling on this graphic detail? I noticed on the Travel Blog layout this detail was simpler. See the attached screenshot.
Also what block would I use to include an Amazon affiliate ad in a block or widget? The copy-paste Amazon ads are in iframe format. In other themes these would display if placed in a simple WP text widget. But I can’t get that to work here. I’ve pasted the iframe code into a text block, WP text widget and the Google maps which says it can manage iframe code.
Example: <iframe style=”width:120px;height:240px;” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ src=”//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets…..etc., </iframe>
Thanks

HI
I’ve replied you in other topic and also if you check the threads pointed by @Edward you will noticed that we mentioned our theme was never tested with opera mini, no matter if you’re using mobile theme or not, we can’t guarantee that the theme will work fin with that browser.
Thanks!
Hello T2N,
Please notice that the smart lists have a special design for displaying posts and also, it have some restriction regarding the content. As you can see, Smart List 2 do not allow any ads in the content of it. If you want to use smart lists with Ad, you should change with another smart list which supports this, like as -> smart list 6,7,8.
For more information about these features, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/
If you refer to something else, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
