hi it works for some code but others don’t work. I am contacting taboola team to see if the problem is from their end of your theme. How do you call custom ads 1 in when in editor? i want to place custom ad 1 directly in the editor because i want it to display only on desktop..

no this is not a plugin.. it is an ads code. i showed you the code and where i would like to place it with the screenshot above..

how can i find what post template i use? i put it in loop-single.php but it won’t show so i’m thinking maybe i am using another post template

Another note to take into consideration. Using the Visual Composer, the Ad Box (added to the widgetized sidebar) will not display any Custom_Ad, but it will display all of the other standard ads.

Also, I might ad that all of my other ads (header, sidebar, article top, article inline, article bottom, etc.) work just fine using the same javascript code I am attempting to use for the custom ads.

You might need to hire a developer to help you.
This theme is setup for responsive layout, just like the demo on themeforest which is there to help you try out the layouts first.

So, with a responsive theme, it will try to fit the wide screen, then medium screen, then will drop to another viewport for tablets portrait, then phones.

You could try to edit the style.css file or do “over rides” in the theme panel, but if you don’t have a clue on that, you’d either need to spend the time to learn how CSS works to hack the theme default, or hire a developer.

While the tagdiv folk might give you some pointers on this, they cannot write custom CSS to change the basic theme functions for you as so much is inter-related (e.g., change the width the ads or images or videos might not fit properly… etc.).

Sorry not a better answer, but perhaps I didn’t fully understand what you were trying to do? Perhaps a screen shot would be helpful 🙂

okay here are two screen shots … note I’m using iPad Air, which has “retina” screen, so would apply to all “modern” iPads (v3, v4, air, air 2). I know it works a little different than simply dragging in side of browser, as that was throwing me too for testing — hence why I always check stuff on the pesky little devil 🙂

okay screen shot 1 shows the way the add coupon and update cart fall kind of funky with the latest iteration of WooCommerce, due to their finally somewhat standardizing their darn buttons. Now everybody’s corrections for that kind of need to be undone.

So:

Seems like I also need to apply the same button 18px fix for the ‘proceed to checkout’ so that’s it’s CLEAR what to do NEXT.

and this is the other thing I want to change to some kind of image icon — or something which is better, even if it’s just a 8 pixel solid color line on left side (e.g., | vs box)

I guess I can edit this in the style.css … but am “suggesting” some kind of (i) or [i] for info glypicon or something that is not so bland — a box that looks like it could be a checkbox, or something doesn’t scream (INFO!).

So, probably easiest thing is
a) how to REMOVE the little box which I think you did purely with CSS box/border in the style, to be “before” the “info” text element from woo.
b) add font awesome icon span to CSS style sheet — and I can load fontawesome fonts — or, if you have something better in your built-in glyph font (the one used for search spyglass, etc.) that we could insert into that slot in the style.css – that would be awesome (as we still say in California!). 🙂

Often the problem with a robots.txt file is that it can, by default, block areas of the WP install which actually have the elements needed to render the mobile version, such as the theme folder, or similar. However, this is usually done by a developer, or an automatic file created by server side hosting WP auto-installers, etc.

The theme is responsive, which means the same theme is being loaded for desktop and mobile devices, and only the CSS changes for the “viewport” … meaning, the same style.css file is loaded by either device, but the mobile deice “reads” the part of the CSS that pertains to that size (“viewport”).

Technically, if you have an issue in your robots.txt file, you can actually open that and look at it; and remove everything except any special blocking you might have in place for an abusive content bot, or any directive to Google to NOT index something like a /members/ folder, etc.

Put another way, simply empty your robots.txt file if you feel it’s blocking something! WordPress technically doesn’t use it for anything.

Old school folks might want to put link to their xml sitemap for those spiders which don’t know how to find it (e.g., Google and Bing – you should be submitting that in your webmaster accounts); and again might want to put in some directives for certain bots to not scrape content — but bad bots ignore those anyway.

images loads too slowly Don’t know why when i activated another theme images loads perfectly but in newspaper theme it loads after some time like 4 or 5 seconds :\

ADVANCED USERS CODE CORRECTION:
for advanced users, you likely already caught the missing single quotes, but this is the correct syntax for changing default uploads directory to root folder, something other than uploads

define('UPLOADS', 'images');

Set UPLOADS to :
define( 'UPLOADS', 'blog/wp-content/uploads' );

This path can not be absolute. It is always relative to ABSPATH, therefore does not require a leading slash.

2. When I load the site it loads 3 – 4 times of different fonts before it actually loads the the font that i have selected for my website… i feel that it’s also taking time and making the site slower… is there any just to load one type of font which is selected from the backend?
