I wanna to develop a new header-style.php to use with a new custom template page. but the get_header don’t work properly.
How I proceed?

Hello! I’m using Newspaper 4 and Visual Composer 5.1.

Problem 1:
When I update to VC 5.2 my site crashes: ”Fatal error” that points to ”wp-content/themes/Newspaper/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 30”. Site works again when I re-install VC 5.1.

Problem 2:
I have tried to update the theme for Newspaper 7 (I have the .zip file) but could not do it with WP dashboard or FTP program – site crashes, I guess this has something to do with Visual Composer (5.1) as well.

Question:
Is there a simple (or at least safe) way to update the theme & plugin? I would be happy to update only up to Newspaper 7, because I can’t live without Visual Composer. I have 500+ pages (not posts) that are created with VC, so unfortunately I can’t start using TD Composer.

I want to create a blank page that has no header, the footer and sidebar can stay but I want to replace the header with a different image. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a downloaded html blank page but it doesn’t function particularly well with the overall design.

Hi!

Simple question…. after I bought the Newspaper theme, I was playing with the demo template.

That template had a variety of widgets, for example: td_demo_category, td_demo_fashion and 4 others. After I started my own clean template, I’m missing these widgets, and I can’t seem to get the sidebar/widgets to work in the same manor that the demo widgets worked.

Currently my site only has Newspaper Default, Footer 1, Footer 2, and Footer 3, while each page or post only loads the Newspaper Default widget.

Now the Demo site had different sidebar widgets depending on your location even of the post was set to show “default sidebar”… Can you please help me? How do I restore the missing widgets and get each post or page to show different widgets like the demo?

I had a requirement to customise how the top grid functionality on our categories page. As was recommended I have modified the includes/category_top_posts_styles/td_category_top_posts_style_2.php which is the Grid Style 2 grid in the theme and now that grid shows only items which have the wordpress tag featured_items.

The issue now is the the section under the grid that lists the articles is only showing article lists from the 5th article onward, and so if an article is not a featured item and before the 5th article it is missing from the categories page listing. I need to modify the list underneath the top grid (td_module_10.php) to list all articles that are not featured_items. I am struggling to find where it generates this list in the lower half of the categories page. I found the individual item list items in td_module_10.php and some configurations in includes/td_config.php but still no luck.

Hi,

I have completely destroyed the homepage template to the point I can’t do anything with it, so am starting over. However, using tagdiv doesnt let me create the homepage I want like the Architecture theme homepage.

is there a way I can reset the homepage only? I dont want to reset the theme as last time It errored.

Hello!

We really like the template, but are having trouble with our site failing to load on iPads regardless of the browsers used. Sometimes the site starts to load, as in we see some text but then crashes. On Safari we get this error “a problem occurred with this web page, so it was reloaded,” however the screen is grey. If we try to reload manually we get the error message “A problem has repeatedly occurred on “http:/www.Crazedkitchen.com”. On Chrome we get the lovely “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage” message.

Any ideas on what could be going on? And what we can do to fix it?
