Buna,
Multumesc!

Hi
I’m trying to figure how should I add a content.ad unit within the page layout using the visual composer
The implementation requires placing this piece of code <?php do_action(‘contentad’); ?> within the template tag
I Tried using one of the custom adboxes but it looks like it won’t run the php code
could someone guide me on a solution for this?
Hey Guys,
I am using pagination for my posts , and using the default template loop-single.php
what I would like to achieve is to have a piece of code for header Ad ( <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[td_ad_box spot_id=”header”]’); ?> ) to only show on the first page above the featured image , and I don’t want it to show on the second and third pages (where the featured image doesn’t show) …
so basically I want to tie up the header Ad to show and hide with the featured image ..
Again , I am using the default post Template and happy to play with code if you provide me with guidance ..
Cheers
Wissam
Hi,
Unfortunately blocks have only 3 types of pagination, that you find out. You have this of pagination for Latest Articles if you use “Pagebuilder + Latest Articles + Pagination” page template.
Thanks!
Hi,
@shoutershub You can’t add 2 sidebars to the Latest Articles if you use Page with Latest Articles.
But you can use this solution:
-set page template to Default and split the row like I said above: http://screencast.com/t/jDQQtAI9
-use a block with pagination to display Latest Articles: http://screencast.com/t/eNra5Ii2g – http://screencast.com/t/lMr0eIG40tjz – http://screencast.com/t/gwNnhhxccqQ
Result: http://screencast.com/t/dk6l0aG36
Hope this helps!

Hello,
by default I see that when I see items in a category or archive (like monthly archive) the template created pages per 10 results.
For example if I have 300 results, I will have 30 pages with 10 results each page.
Can I change somehow the default amount of posts per page to, lets say 20?
Thank you
I’ve deleted from style.css, but still having code on the page:

Hi,
If you are not using woocommerce or bbpress you can remove the forum templates and shop style. Please make a backup of your current theme installation before in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it.
According to it’s settings the theme generates another css which overwrites the default one so yes when you change your settings extra css is added to the page.
We will investigate and consider this for future versions.
Thanks
Hi,
Edit the comments template and remove this code: http://screencast.com/t/NnVDP8cA
For the other matters please follow and use all instructions provided in all this treads:
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/
* https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/

Hi Lucian,
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried both your suggestions before posting and neither seemed to do the trick. If you have any suggestion for displaying a hardcopy 24 page magazine with the Newsmag template I would love to hear it. Am experimenting with Satellite as describe above but having issues.
Kind regards.
Hi,
You need to edit the page templates for the pages you want it on and place the div where you want it. For the pages that you build via page builder you need to edit this files: http://screencast.com/t/S6eMK4A2rygi
Thanks
Hi,
1. Please add this css in Theme Panel > Custom Css and use a solid color for background: http://screencast.com/t/hnBnXvtWOr
.td-sbig-title-wrap .td-sbig-title {
background-color: #4db2ec;
}
.td-big-grid-title .td-sbig-title-wrap {
background-color: #4db2ec;
}
2. Please use this custom css, it will apply to all links: http://screencast.com/t/QbAU9FOfHU
a:hover{
text-decoration: none !important;
color: red !important;
}
3. You will need custom modification for this, unfortunately we cannot offer custom work because we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.
I gave you a solution for this above. Use a page template without articles list: http://screencast.com/t/hq6MZc8jB and instead use a block for Latest Articles. It will look something like this page from newsmag demo(Scroll to Latest Articles): http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-infinite-scroll/
Please follow block’s settings(this block settings are exactly to show Latest Articles like above page):
http://screencast.com/t/geiG1TUvEFux
http://screencast.com/t/Wl8nOauLcQf
Use Infinite Load and show Load More button after x pages: http://screencast.com/t/asRKs5uZ
Also you can translate Load More from Theme Panel > Translations: http://screencast.com/t/VLp9RxDcBN
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Not sure where you want it disabled but you could do it from page template: http://screencast.com/t/InAKkPlcz or from theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/sp4TgtFKk7g
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Please edit this file and add if-else statements: http://screencast.com/t/5amz5U7QRtY
if (is_front_page()){
locate_template('parts/header/header-style-7.php', true);
} else {
locate_template('parts/header/header-style-1.php', true);
}
You have to use Header Style 1(default): http://screencast.com/t/I8TGdtJnBi
Homepage: http://screencast.com/t/AeA5uq3d5qTb
Post: http://screencast.com/t/utPevH8ryE5
Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry for the delay!
Unfortunately as you’ve noticed by now the only customization option you have for the big slider when using the homepage with background template are for background color/img and slide limit: http://screencast.com/t/oJtUy4erGoM
The posts which appear on that slider are the ones present in the featured category. You can further customize it hard coded from here at the moment: http://screencast.com/t/scMYLCXt
@drewmerl You can also do it via custom css, please provide your site’s url so we can inspect this and provide a solution.
Thanks
Hello, I’ve three final questions before I can launch my website with your amazing theme:
1. Is there any way I can have a custom template for a specific category? In particular, I’d like to have the default one, but big grid have to fetch only articles from a specific subcat.
2. I want to use a line with three columns of block 14 in the homepage. I want to select three precise posts. Is it fine if I split the page into the columns each one with one block 14, only one post to fetch and I create three custom categories “column 1”, “column 2”, “column 3” so that I can select precisely which post to show? Is it possible to avoid people browsing “mysite.com/category/column-1”?
Is there any other way to select a precise post?
3. Do you plan to release a new version soon?
If you want a more flexible big slider or background don’t use the template Homepage with the BG and article list but use the Homepage with just article list. Then insert the big slider as an element from the Visual Composer on top of the page then if you want background Go to > Row Settings of the Big Slide and select Background then > Select Image Paralax and the most important thing is to select Maximum Full Width under Background Override. If you want to adjust the space between the slider and menu use a Spacer / Gap.
The other thing you can use is a Revolution Slider which comes with the theme and it is fully customizable like I did here – http://www.toppcnews.com.

Hello again,
I ran the SQL query to update the shortcodes, nothing to update…
The issue appears to be with the “Homepage” template.
I was able to recreate it creating a page from scratch and using Block 15. And there it goes again. Overlapping content as in the image posted earlier.
Any ideas?
Hello, i have been working on mobile speed for my website for a very long time, i followed all the instructions to speed it up. since i changed my template to responsive on mobile, my earnings and pageviews has dropped significantly, that is probably because of slow load on mobile.
my point is, if on desktop my website is making 100 requests and page size is 1 mb then for mobile it will be same.. but where desktop load it easily mobile will take time to load it!
so here is where i am trying to work, i tried to install wptouch plugin to my website but it is not working with it, it is showing shortcodes at home page..i tried to search on forums for solutions but nothing worked for me.
i have been on ur forum for a long, you guys are pretty good and reply all of us, but you need to fix this issue, because people who buy your theme, expect that it would help them to enhance their revenue. no doubt your theme is awesome on desktop but it do killing revenue for people who get most of their traffic from mobile, like me, i have 75% mobile traffic and it killing my mobile revenue!
please take this issue seriously and come up with solution, as mobile traffic is increasing everyday!
please come up with solution for us or we will have to change the theme!
Thank you!
Hello to All,
Does anyone know how to tame the beast that is the ‘Big Slide’? I have imported demo data to help me get started and familiar with the template. I have figured out how to edit the homepage, but I cannot figure out how to edit the ‘Big Slide’ element. I have deleted old post, changed, dates and turned some into drafts and private to no avail. It just removes the post from the element, but it does not replace it with anything.

Where do I go to edit the ‘Big Slide’?

Thank you.
Hi Alin,
Thanks for your answer. Yes, I know I already use it like you mention. But that kind of solution creates problem(white space) in small screen sizes.
Check:
Big Screen(this is ok): http://prntscr.com/64plna
Small Screen(problem!): http://prntscr.com/64pl6i
Maybe you may change the code of homepage-with articles list template for me?
If you cant, It is ok. thank you
Hi Emil, when i load source of my site, i see a lot of codes coming from newspaper theme that actually i don’t use, and that are heaving codes on every page: view-source:http://www.rnbjunk.com/

Woocommerce, Buddypress, are some example and stuff like that. I cannot disable them from the theme panel, i need to know how can i customize the theme so use only the things that are really important for my site, without codes of stuff that are not working on it.
Do you have a guideline to have a lighter version of the theme, in order to load only the essentials?
Fabian
Hi,
thanks for that. When i search the dcumentation i found that link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-hide-the-page-title/
Only after your e-mail i recognized that it’s related to the Newspaper template.
Sorry for my mistake and thanks again for the clarification.
Hi,
I think that you read newspaper theme documentation. Newsmag theme has only 3 page templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-newsmag/
You can use Default Template to add a page without title: http://screencast.com/t/kan6yUuFPE
Result: http://screencast.com/t/P8NIodWJlhmx
Please also follow newsmag documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-documentation/
And let me know if you still have other issues related to the theme!
Thanks!
