I thought I’d let you know that the Pagespeed score went way down in version 3.1. This seems to affect mobile only. I believe it’s due to the speed booster plugin not taking effect on the mobile site for some reason.
Here’s the demo page, which got a score of 66 for me.
Thanks for looking into this!
Hi;
Page speed bad
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fkalitelihayat.com&tab=mobile
We have a problem with tagDiv speed booster plugin. When we activeted this plugin fonts and colors appear original type in the some computers and after seconds we have see our custom settings. When we tried to deactivete tagDiv plugin, Carousel gallery not working.
Finally we got this proglems after update. Can you check and fix our problems please.?Best Regards.
why is that problem in MOBILE section of Google PageSpeed?
1-) these posts difference is just in different categories but when i do pagespeed test to these their points are different. why is that?
http://silahgalerisi.com/avlanma-ve-avcilik/avcilik-hakkinda-ansiklopedik-bilgiler/ –> (in this some CSS files are on head MOBILE & DESKTOP)
http://silahgalerisi.com/tabancalar/fn-five-seven-tabanca/ –> (in this some CSS files are on head MOBILE)
i deactivated the cdn it’s not about it.
2-) http://silahgalerisi.com/silah-resimleri in that page i’m using lazyest-gallery but when i add the css ids to speedbooster, they are still on header. so i changed the gallery plugin’s functions.php for use these just on /silah-resimleri page but i want to send css files to footer like other plugins which i done with speedbooster ๐
Best Regards
@radu
Just FYI to all when any site is running mod_pagespeed it’s really easy to tell as GPS will insert beacons or other things in the page HTML source to identify that.
eg
<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>
<script pagespeed_no_defer="">
etc.
Hi,
@madox56 It looks like the themes html is compressed by some kind of plugin or mod_pagespeed. Can you disable mod_pagespeed or the page minifaction plugin that you are using?
Please let know if it works after disabling mod_pagespeed.
If you use the blank homepage + pagebuilde it will work also… for SEO I do not know how that will affect your rating but I think it will be better if we manage to sort this problem out for you. (I really like sites with pagination ๐ and i think Google likes them too )
No i don’t use mod_pagespeed, i’m using WP Super Cache with mod_rewrite and the activated CDN option (i’m using maxCDN for cdn) in that plugin.
In addition Thanks for stars ๐
Hi,
I’ve looked at the site and I think that the booster plugin is not working as expected. The resources seem to come from cdn.your domain .Are you using mod pagespeed or some kind of cdn optimizer?
I will try to test the WPSocialite + speedbooster and if it works well we will update the plugin.
PS. Marius is making the stars now for you now – sorry for the delay.
@Christopher – I agree with you, any social sharing badge that shows the number of likes/tweets etc comes with a cost :). There is one solution – to call the like tweets via api on server (like our social counter does) but like the social counter is very hard to maintain and it will have to make server side requests to the apis periodically for each post… that is not good. It’s almost impossible to deploy such such a thing to a lot of users and hosts combinations but I will experiment a bit with this ๐ .

Hahaha i did it finally, i have social sharing buttons with PageSpeed %100 ๐
the Radu’s suggestion is finally works i have write the css id wrong, i fixed it and it works.
Use WPSocialite plugin and add it to tag speed booster plugin for move footer ๐ (you have to do the “When Scroll, Run js” from the plugins settings.)
@radu you have to sticky that post because every one have to solve that Social Sharing PageSpeed problem ๐
Best Regards
you can check my pagespeed scores my website is
Edit: When i test it 10 mins before it is %100 for all mobile pages but now it is saying there is problem with different css in just mobile? where can i do it for mobiles too?

cagdas. Reason: mobile responsive problem
Most of the issues with social sharing are issues with the actual social media sites and their code which must be loaded by the theme to do things like “call” number of likes — that isn’t done by the theme. So, some things are impossible to “optimize” as they are not PageSpeed friendly. This also includes AdSense, ReCaptcha, YouTube, etc.
“the best social sharing codes” are those provided by each social media outlet with async loading; but the elements are still loading from that other site which you have zero control over.
For best PageSpeed you would need to use something like a single pill button from AddThis, or create locally hosted icon images which only “post” to the social media sites and have no interaction such as showing number of likes/shares — all that data coming from those sites like Twitter, FB, and G+ will cause PageSpeed issues.
Just some info on that. I’ve spent a ton of time on this issue and there is no perfect solution, unfortunately.
I did like you said but still pageinsight analyze is saying that .css file is working before content ๐
you can check it here
why don’t you use the best social sharing codes in the Newspaper, i am sorry because i have to find plugins solve for that. please optimize the social sharing codes in newspaper and save us ๐

Hello,
you can have a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/#post-3070
add_filter( 'jpeg_quality', create_function( '', 'return 50;' ) );
should compress the thumbs better. Also on that thread you can find a lot of usefull information about pagespeed.
Hi i try to improve my web speed but is more harder than i think first. I use GT Metrix, Pingdom and Google Pagespeed, is this one (google) i have 54/100 for mobile ( so bad ) and 84/100 ( not bad).
So how i can do to improve this?? Also my page size is soooo big 3,5 MB. I optimize all the images but i dont what can i do to reduce this??
Pingdom details:

Thanks ๐
Haven’t tackled that yet. I just turned off and removed the revolution slider code and plugin, to solve that for the time being. (sigh)
If you’re not using it, turn off the plugin and that should solve it.
If you’re using the slider, then, the only real way to fix that is to combine the CSS files into *one* CSS file (I actually also manually minified my main style.css for instance).
Not doing anything more until stable v3 theme (e.g., ahem … 3.01 or 3.02 ?), since I don’t want to redo anything again at this point until v3 is stable for the stuff we use.
I also manually removed reference to google fonts from the functions.php on one site, and did search/replace in the style.css to replace all Google fonts with web-safe fonts, just to see what happened. Solved couple of PageSpeed Insights hold-ups.
Anyway…”80″ for mobile right now is actually the minimum to not suck, frankly, and 95 is right there (you’ll notice it will vary from 92-96 depending on the page content, placement of the moon, and whether your cat is asleep…).
Glad all my little tidbits are helping somebody. You’ll be seeing less and less of me around here, but very glad it’s been useful !
@adgower
I think the query is for using web-safe fonts which don’t load remotely off Google’s CDN.
Some of us wish to use only web-safe fonts for faster page load, and not having to load “fancy fonts” from Google which can be tricky to optimize for PageSpeed Insights.
This is typically the reason for wanting Arial/Verdana, and/or Georgia, Seghoe UI, Trebuchet, etc.
I’m waiting for 3.01 to install, personally, so don’t have any specific advice on how to customize the fonts to web-safe, although that was on Radu’s confirmed ‘to do’ list.
OMG… my website is soooo fast now!! I even got a B @ Yslow and 95% at Pagespeed.
Great update peeps! Please keep up the great development and spoil us more in the future! ๐
thanks for your awesome support on here @christopher
“Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”
It’s the only error I have left on PageSpeed Insights. Currently at 80/100 mobile and 95/100 desktop.
“Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 3 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.”
All those are related to Slider Revolution, not the theme. That’s why I’m curios how you can get rid of them. Can you get these removed by adding stuff to .htaccess? Or some server setting?
hi,
I’ve been doing alot of testing to increase pagespeed. By deactivating Revolution Slider I get 100/100 – 100/100 in PageSpeed Insights. When I activate it I instantly loose 20 points. Have you done anything on the demo to improve this?
Also, Seems snapmenu stopped working after i disabled/enabled it..

hmmm,
I’m working my down my list of improving my pagespeed. I’m getting closer but i noticed that the demo don’t have the same warnings. So there must be some way to improve it without doing coding ๐
It’s in themeforest’s queue ๐

Make sure you’re not in “compatibility mode” in IE10/11 for your website. That mucks with all sorts of things, I found. May not be the issue, but it broke all sorts of things for me. And, if your host uses mod_pagespeed or if you’re using caching be sure to “disallow” your wp-admin and themes folder from being “optimized” or “modified” as that can also break stuff. Mine still works, so usually good idea to backtrack on any new plugin installed which inserts any hooks into the page posts/admin (like a form manager, etc.). Some plugins don’t create unique IDs for their “hooks” and then this breaks other plugins.
