Hello,

For mega menu is used 218×150. Also, please let me know if you regenerated the thumbs after you select only the thumbs that you need https://forum.tagdiv.com/retina-images/

Thank you!

Hello @youngman!

Choose the second one and wait until it is regenerated.

Hello @Youngman!

This plugin still works correctly for your images. After every modification of the images sizes, you need to regenerate them.

Thank you!

In the documentation of the Thumbnail problem here, it is said that it can be solved with the Thumbnail Regenerate plugin, but this plugin has not been updated for the past 2 years, after seeing the review and blog the developer turns out that the plugin maker has died.

The question is, is this plugin still working properly? since it’s already been 3 years I’m afraid this will also be another conflict to cache or SEO plugins. Waiting for the update of this plugin is already impossible. Tagdiv’s Newspaper team may be able to update the documentation for other optional plugins.

Hello, we had an issue with our Newspaper theme. In the panel we had enabled almost all thumbs in block settings so for every image we had several copies and in one month we hit our inodes limit.

I disabled all thumbs and regenerated thumbs with a plugin mentioned here. But the problem exists, check https://trikalatroll.gr/ we are asked to enable thumbs again.

We dont want this, is it possible to use the original image in all blocks?

Thanks
Giorgos

Hi,

I just checked, depends it depends on how long the cache is regenerated. https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.Energy_Cache_Regeneration_Process_Overview.htm&type=5

Thank you!

Hello @tvsanantonio!

Set up your thumbs from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Block settings -> Thumbs on modules/blocks. If you deactivate a dimension from there, next time when you will upload an image, it will not be resized to that dimension.
After changing the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Thank you!

I have made many tickets about this in the past. And support team keep blaming it on other things.

I am having big issues eith theme being broken in many cases. Such as with with the menu items not working correctly with the drop arrows not clicking and not loading the google fonts. And. If I turn off guest mode in litespeed or try any other caching plugins my site will load totally borken of you click on it from doing a google search.

My hosting compamy are a very good to me took a look for me and actually went out of there way to look at this and understand my issues (not even there job)

They found I am haivng some issues with CSS and refreshing or something. They advised I should contact the theme developers.

After much testing, it has been 100% concluded, Its not plugin conflicts, its not CDN or cludflare, its not googles caching. everything has been ruled out

Pausing cloudflare
Changing plugins (makes it even worse)
and more!
Done everything

Its the theme, and that is all there is too it! I am hoping this support will finally admit and understand and stop blaming other things after this information.

As the hosting company (did the theme developers job) and found there is a theme CSS issue. I found the tagdiv CSS analiyser is broken and I cannot use it this further proves theme css issues.

I cannot regenerate CSS or even remove generated CSS. It seems to be broken I cannot use the options or make it work

See the image

https://imgur.com/a/KyLqyMt

Its greyed out. I cannot use it.

Also. when click on the run css analyser. Its also broken, I cannot do anything in there or make changes

https://imgur.com/a/ephJp7H

So. The is proof something is broken with this theme, And nothing else.. Unstalling plugins does not allow this CSS analyser section to work either.

Now. I would finally like someone to fix this please. After 1 year whole year of asking. No one even thought to mention or look at CSS issues!

Hello, this is the link to the screenshot. It concerns my mobile live search, when I type a word to search it, the thumbnails do not appear. I used the plugin regenerate thumbs, regenerated them to no avail, still the thumbs can’t appear. https://www.screencast.com/t/hdyhMKbN8Jh4

Hello, the thumbnails on mobile live search do not appear after I activated the block required 60×80. I installed the Regenerate thumbnails plugin, regenerated all images and still they do not appear. What should I do?

Hello,

Please make sure you have enabled the thumbs in Theme Panel -> Block -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ZvDvpiBFKY3
After activating the thumbnail sizes, you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/.

Thank you!

Hi Calin, I used the regenerate plugin, But still, the Images remain intact. There is no change in the featured image section. Please tell me what to do.

Another thing that I want to ask is how to change the featured image. Please give me the proper steps to change it.

Yes, we have installed those plugins while updating. Most of the settings, custom codes, analytics codes, etc are not saved in the theme panel. Which means we have to put all those codes again. Maybe we lost some unique created code bcz we didn’t save them in another place.
Also, regenerate thumbnails are not working.
I am not sure how you released Version 12 if it can’t save settings from previous versions. 🙁

The images are cropped and the crop is not correctly done, that it is way you need to regenerate them, after that you can remove the plugin.
To do this on pages you can use the flex block -> https://i.imgur.com/ApYXD7M.png then from layout tab you can set the image size -> https://i.imgur.com/l1fZ3K2.png this can be done only on pages where tagDiv Composer is used.
For the featured image on categories you can set a different style -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-category-settings-work/
Also for posts -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-post-templates/

Hello,
I have 8 different sites that use the Newspaper system. I have been recently updating websites from the oldest to the newest versions and switched to renewed templates with cloud builder. So far I had no problem and all changes were successful except for the Fast News PRO template. It added 6-8 seconds loading time for both HP and single article. I don’t understand what has influenced the performance of both mobile and desktop so much. During the update – I removed all unnecessary plugins, removed the cache plugin, regenerated the thumbnails by deleting unused formats. This is the only site that causes a problem. The problem does not apply to hosting, because on the same server I have a different domain on the Newspaper system and it loads like crazy.

Theme version: 11.5.1
PHP: 7.4.30
Max_execution_time: 300
WP Memory limit: 256mb / request

Hello Viju,

Hello,

We’re trying to update one of our client’s website but when we proceed to the update of the Newspaper theme (so including the tagDiv plugins), we got an ajax error on all tagDiv plugins.
The error message doesn’t give any further information about the issue.
The theme is registered correctly.

Would you be able to help us on that please ?

Here’s the website URL : https://tribumedias.be/

And the WordPress status following.
Note that we restored a recent backup because trying to update breaks the site design etc.

Thanks and have a great day.

Hello Calin

Thanks for the great support this worked and the size of the site is smaller now.

P.s On the page: https://forum.tagdiv.com/existing-content/
Tagdiv recommends this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

The plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress.

I used this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails-advanced/
This one has a clear option to remove non-used images and is totally free.

I think you can link to this plugin instead of the older not maintained plugin.
