I’m having a lot of trouble switching from VC to TD Composers. VC seemed a lot more intuitive and this one is filled with errors. I am getting a Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /homepages/9/d566011515/…blah blah
I’m trying to add simple text/basic code to the home page. I tried the Text with Title Element but when I try to edit the text in the box, I get the fatal error, can’t save it, can’t preview it and basically have to exit the whole page again and start over – leading to the same error.
This is hours of work (and I’m only doing the homepage – I have a TON more to go). How do we make this switch with something less than 2 weeks of time? If all the shortcodes are the same why do we have to redo everything?
How can we get one on one detailed help for this? You made a pretty video for new users – but left out those of us who have to convert.

In the midst of modifying my site, suddenly, while updating a page, I was unable to see the updated/preview pages, receiving a 503 error instead. That resolved itself over the course of 20 minutes, without any help of my own. However, inside visual composer, I now no longer see my content elements in a graphic form, instead only in code(java & html), just like you can see on in the classic VC interface. The problem is, VC isn’t rendering them on my site, only displaying them in code.
Please assist. And, with respect to tagdiv composer, I’m just not interested in using this version, instead preferring to use VC.

I have a tricky question. I’d like to filter a Block with the latest posts by two different taxomies:
1 – The first filter already exists, by categories terms.
2 – The second filter would be by several custom taxonomies (not the terms).
The better example I have for this is IGN Portugal home page: http://pt.ign.com/
First row: Videos | Reviews | News (These would be the category terms).
Second row: Xbox | PS4 | Nintendo (These would be the whole custom taxonomies each).
I know it would be a complex job and out of support scope, but it would be possible to point me to the right direction at least? Like, which files should I look for.
Before I posted that problem here, I already looked through these plugins.
Anyway I threw that review plugin completely away now. But another problem still remains post settings, where they can add/change source name and source url. Now I am looking to ways how to get rid of other part of newspaper theme. It’s kind of annoying when some parts clearly should be available to contributors but for some sick reason theme has been made it the way that only your site admins can make posts <- which is totally STUPID. There is reason why there is different roles in wordpress, like admin, author, contributor. All them should have different privileges, but ALL of them should be able to create full posts and thats how wordpress and most themes works. Newspaper is the first theme where you need to have full privileges to create full post. <- And it’s wrong. 100% wrong way.

Please notice that our theme was fully tested with the smart sidebar functionality and it seems to work as expected on my side, sorry! Notice that functionality comes from Jave Script and this can be corrupted if you are using some untested plugins which can cause this effect. Try to disable all of them, leave just only bundled plugins to be active, clear all the caches and check the results. The simplest way to achieving the Gadgets demo is to import the demo at your website and using it with your data/posts/pages. If you do not like this way, you should inspect our demo preview with the Inspector browser because in that way you can identify what kind of blocks element is used. Did you find solution how to add WP-Review stars after posts topic, like they did in theme? Some way that does not disappear, will not be overwritten, once you update theme. I have looked through the code and so far I still have not found the way.
Using simple photo gallery, if you select Preview Photo via Page: When enabled this setting will show previews of your photos on a separate page. When disabled your photo previews will be via a lightbox. The lightbox shows up 1/2 way under the header so you can only see the bottom half of the lightbox

Notice that option does not comes with our theme, sorry! Do you are using such a plugin with this functionality? If you will check our demo preview, regarding on the dates, you will not see that format date, sorry! Try to disable any untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if you need more assistance, in this case, you should provide your website URL so we can take a closer look into it.

I’m sorry but please notice that’s the original theme’s behavior for this kind of Big Grid. If you will check our demo preview, you will see the same behavior. If you want to change this, you should do it yourself and edit the theme’s core files where this is created. Notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

i tryed to add a background to “list menu” element. And even if the menu elements are loaded correctly, in fact if u see with developer console there is the grid with the menu elements, they are not displayed but i havent hidden anything with css. I would like to ask you for help with some cosmetic changes. When I open my web page http://www.neverskipriding.com at mobile (Iphone 7 plus) there are few things to fix.
I add screen with 4 pictures:

1) normal view it seems everything okey (except the socials)
2) it seems there is plenty of space on the right side of the screen, it is possible to somehow lock it to the center without the mobile theme plugin? (in the end it’s not a huge issue for me)
3) when I see web page at the mobile the blocks have very bad quality preview this is something that I really want to fix and there is a graphics under some “play buttons” as well, never seen before..
4) socials are on the left not at center but I guess its because the settings of the social bars at home page (it’s not huge issue)
I don’t want to use mobile theme plugin, it’s okey like this, just need to fix these few probs (quality preview at blocks is the main thing)

Gutenberg is a simple page builder for sites without one; it’s not needed if using TD themes as it includes option for 2 different page builders, including TDcomposer, fully integrated with theme.
A *lot* of developers, WP websites/blogs, and theme companies have already written negative reviews on the beta version and many have requested it *not* be made part of core, and left as a plugin.
Just my thoughts — you can Google the topic extensively; but upshot – it will be useful if using the twenty-sixteen theme (or free themes included with WP), but for most commercial themes it will likely break stuff and you would be “on your own…” with that.

Hi, I need to ask something about hovering in main menu.
The main manu is active by defaul when is not hovered. For example if you enter at my home page https:// argentinabursatil .com/ you can see the “HERRAMIENTAS” item in the menu is active (even when not hevered). Then, if you enter at any post is not active (which is ok) (example: https:// argentinabursatil .com/merval-28917/
So, it only happens at home page. I would be grateful if you can help me with this.

Hi,
The reviews are conditioned to appear instead of the author name and date, in the theme code. If you would like to remove the reviews from all modules and display the author name and date instead, it will require a modification in this file

If you make that modification the modules will not display the stars for posts with reviews, but the author name and date instead.

At the moment the theme does not offer the same settings as default posts, for custom post types. Reviews are not available for custom post types. However you can use review plugins instead. Search for some of these plugins, install them and make some tests. There must be one that works properly and probably has more options besides the theme reviews.

And so you also updated wp-config.php to tell WP that it can use that much memory ? You *have* to do that to increase default from 40MB.

I d like to use the “Review” feature of your website on one Custom Post Type that i created.
The best thing would be to have a visitor rating.
I know that some plugins do that very well ( for instance like wp reviews pro) but it causes conflict with your theme and i am not fan of having a plugin for a feature which is already implemented n a theme ( even if this only partially).
I am using the Newspaper latest version theme. I want to create exactly the same type menu this website have thankyourskin.com (MostRecent Featured Skin Concerns SkinTypes Reviews DIY FAQ).
If you click any menu like “Featured” menu, then it will show some feature posts without page loading. A similar function will work for each menu.
How can I do that? Newspaper have this type functionality? If not, please help me to create a same kind menu(Any plugin or code or even other theme name). I am desperately looking for this functionality.
