- TutorialsDefault Block Settings Guide
1) solved thanks to the plugin “Powerful Posts Per Page”
2) solved thanks to the plugin “Posts Order”
3) I don’t know why before it was limited to 6 sub-cat, now it works perfectly
———–
4) it’s possible to put the name of the sub-category instead the name of the category on the label of the preview of the article in the mega-menu and in the category page?
something does not work well beacause sometimes on the labels of the articles there are categories and other times sub-categories
5) also if I set a certain template and article display view to the category page when I connect to the page from mobile there are other settings and a view that I can’t modify
this view from mobile includes the top posts style that I’ve disabled in theme panel
Hi,
The preview stars are working, however, not on mobile. I have sent an email to you with logins.
Thanks for your help
Vince
Thanks, it works.
one more question, how to remove the reviews tab?
Hello Irreverent Gent,
If you want to do these changes for your Review template, please notice that you will have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-review-summary .block-title {
display:none;
}
.td-review-header .block-title {
font-family:Arial;
}
Also, please notice that the new font which you want to have for your review header will have to be loaded in the theme in Theme panel in order to achieve best results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Guys,
I want to change the font on the “Review Overview” and remove the “Summary” entirely. Is there a way to do this with either the Theme Panel or CSS? Thanks so much!

Hello,
I would like to know how can I hide the date from block thumb previews here – http://imgur.com/rHiLYIa but still have it within the post. I tried to hide the date from Theme Panel> Post Settings but that removed it completely.
Thanks!
HI
Replace the previews code whit this one: http://screencast.com/t/qOmT4IJf0R
.td-review-stars, .td-review-final-star{
color:red!important;
}
If it still does not work you can address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com with a link to this conversation and also give us wp-admin so we can have a closer look.
Thanks!
Hi,
Thank you for your timely response.
That worked quite well, I made the alteration to the red with #942626 and looks much better.
The review stars that did not change are the stars for each individual star percentage setting. Can you please advise?
Thanks
Vince
Hi Bogdan,
I did the changes in the header.php exactly in the way you said in the screencast. I changed single_template 1, updated my website to see if it was worked, but it didn´t. I did it with the single_template 2, it didn´t work as well… I did the changes in all singles_templates exactly in the same way of the screencast, but nothing has changed im my blog. This is strange I know, I tried with facebook comments plugin for wordpress to check if the problem was with the facebook app, but with facebook comments plugin it worked, so the problem is not the app.
I reviewed with a lot of attention the codes, I moved the closing php tag to the end of the code like you said, I just replaced the code, I let the space, everything was in the same way, but nothing changed.
I’m using the babyblog demo as a base of my website, I don´t know if it has some relation with that.
Thanks again!
Hello,
If you are referring to the stars on the homepage (on blocks) you need to use this css top change the color:
.entry-review-stars{
color:red!important;
}
If you want to change the color for the ones on the post itself, you need to use this code:
.td-review-final-star{
color:red!important;
}
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have a question: when we embed a facebook video in a post (selecting “video” as format), how can we automatically show the preview?
Because now we have to find a picture and put it as “featured” image. Any solutions, alternatives?
thanks,
M.
Hi,
Is there a field or somewhere I can edit the colour for the Product Review Stars? At the moment they are black and don’t look very friendly. I would like to change them to red.
Thanks
Vince
We are starting a new site of just news and reviews
in a specific eCommerce niche.
What I want to do is have the top section,
just below the header/menu area
consisting of just links out to the top news stories of the day.
Ideally, I’d like about 50 links in the section,
with the the latest links at top,
and links below the 50th just disapearing automatically.
Can you guys suggest an easy and manageable way to do that?
Thanks!
I installed newspaper successfully as well as all the plugins. However, when I change my chrome browser to a mobile device (iphone 5 or 6) my installation doesn’t look like the tadDiv live version: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/#. I wish I could attach a couple of images to show you. Perhaps I can email them? I need to know why it doesn’t match.
Thx,
Mike
Excellent. Good to learn.
Final question:
when changing this in the parent-theme files it is not update safe.
Can I overwrite that function in my child-theme functions.php?
if ( ! function_exists( 'get_item_scope' ) ) :
function get_item_scope() {
//show the review meta only on single posts that are reviews, the rest have to be article (in article lists)
// if ($this->is_review && is_single()) {
// return 'itemscope itemtype="' . td_global::$http_or_https . '://schema.org/Review"';
// } else {
// return 'itemscope itemtype="' . td_global::$http_or_https . '://schema.org/Article"';
}
Hello,
i’m new on newspaper…
if i use style 8 for reveiw, in preview mode i can see the feature pic

but when i publish my review, the feature pic is not visible

i use only one category and i chose the same category in newspaper option

Any idea?
Thanks
On the demo there is a bunch of different elements in the mobile homepage. I cannot seem to figure out how to add anything besides the text, and the standard layout (recent articles + 3 article preview). How can I add things like recent posts from specific categories?
I have temporarily removed maintenance mode on the site http://www.onthetown.net.au.
Been playing with themes and having the recurring problem.
For the current example, I have selected the Recipies Theme
Gone to Theme panel
Removed Logo from Logo upload in Header section
saved
selected the same image (Spoons with spices)
saved
Selected preview on Home Page
The logo is now a small image in the centre of the header and not stretched accross the page as it had been when the theme was uploaded.
Not sure what causes this
Hi guys!
Amazing theme! I have a problem: I have checked my website with a SEO tool and it says me that I have many Page Titles and Meta Descriptions duplicated. The thing is that the theme is duplicating my Categories Titles and Meta descriptions like this:
http://domain.com/category1/?filter_by=popular7
http://domain.com/category1/?filter_by=review_high
http://domain.com/category1/?filter_by=popular
http://domain.com/category1/?filter_by=featured
http://domain.com/category1/?filter_by=random_posts
How can I fix this?
Thanks guys!

Hi, I just upgraded to 7.1.1 from version 6.7 and noticed the logo is floating towards the left instead of being centered. This only happens on the main page (http://makeupforlife.net or http://makeupforlife.net/page/x) but not at other pages (http://makeupforlife.net/press), posts (http://makeupforlife.net/2016/06/glossier-quartz-haloscope-review-swatches.html) or categories (http://makeupforlife.net/makeup-tutorial).
I have included screencaps below as well. Please let me know what I can do to fix it. Thanks!

Hi Catalin,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I’ve managed to find a work around using CSS.
I ended up removing the ‘thead’ and ‘th’ table.
I switched this:
<thead>
<th>Brand</th>
<th>Model No.</th>
<th>Capacity</th>
<th>USB ports</th>
<th>Max output</th>
<th>Price*</th>
<th>Buy Online</th>
</thead>
To this:
<tr class="hide-mobile hbold">
<td>Brand</td>
<td>Model No.</td>
<td>Capacity</td>
<td>USB ports</td>
<td>Max Output</td>
<td>Latest Price*</td>
<td>Buy Online</td>
</tr>
Then I created a CSS class for the ‘tr’ (hide-mobile) that hides the top header row when the table collapses on mobile views.
Think it works pretty well when you reduce the page width, you can see it working here – http://gadgetviper.com/best-power-bank-20000mah-review/
The important thing is that I can toggle between visual view and html when editing the post in WordPress without it breaking the tables 🙂
Hi,
We are trying to show related articles by custom taxonomy. We have managed to load the same but when we click on the “more by the same author” and then click back on related articles, the related articles do not load. Can you help us to find where we might be going wrong? We suspect it has to do with ajax.
Please check example here » http://staging.completewellbeing.com/book-review/rekindle-creativity-book-barnet-bain/
Thanks in advance.
Manoj
Also be aware some reviews are from people who don’t know how to follow directions to use the plugin properly, and then like to whine about it on the plugin support pages. As with all plugins, one still needs to know how to test a plugin, then roll back if a new version has a glitch (common to *all* plugins, including WordPress!).
There is no penalty to trying a plugin out for yourself, as in all things. A lot of people hate Apple, too, but they still make great products, so reading some of the reviews for the iPhone and how it skinned their cat and ruined their marriage must be taken with grain of salt (e.g., be cautious in what people post, including those who make competing products!).
But again, just like choosing which type of cola is best for you, which pizza delivery service, etc., you need to decide for yourself. Try one, and if it doesn’t meet your needs, try another one.
I’ve been using YOAST SEO for many years now since we abandoned our in house tool which did many of the same things. It’s a little bloated, sure, but people keep asking for it to do something new and they add that in. However, they have also taken some things out, too. SEO changes over time, so too the plugin. It’s a fluid universe in webdev, so welcome to the circus! 🙂
