When I share an article to Facebook from the post… in the box toward the bottom, it use to show the beginning of the article. But now it’s showing all of my sites categories, the date article posted, etc… I just want the summery like before. How can I change this?

Linkedin Share Button has been working perfectly (following your advice above in September). However, it disappeared completely after we installed the latest Theme Update earlier this week!
I’m wondering if their new version code changes no longer support the temporary patch they supplied?
Here’s what we did:
1) Edit file: \public_html\wp-content\themes\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_single.php
At somewhere near line 53 add (just after/under whatsapp) add:

2) Make sure custom CSS code is still there. Add in theme options, custom code, custom CSS:

We observed the code was still in the custom CSS theme options.
3) Replace the image sprite files with the one’s you manually supplied last time.
Replace the sprites in \public_html\wp-content\themes\Newspaper\images\sprite with:

This is not an official method of implementation. I am creating a new topic here rather than creating an official guide. It’s just something I tested now and it seems to work. It’s not perfect but it may help our community with the VK network sharing.
Before other requests come about, please note that I cannot provide a solution for the social counter. That requires quite a bit of coding skills and has to be done on a development stage. The social counter is a very complex element and new social networks cannot be added as simply as the social share buttons.
If you want to add the VK social sharing network to your post social sharing top or bottom icons like so http://screencast.com/t/ScMmNIBXmM , then here is a guide on how to do it:
1. Access this link: https://vk.com/dev/share_details
2. Copy the first part of the code that is meant to be added to the head section of the site and do just that: The file is header.php in the main folder of the theme: http://screencast.com/t/P1PrauKfj
3. The second part of the code needs to be added in your preferred location on the site. I have not tested any other positions but you can get creative with the positioning if you want to. I just added it next to the other social sharing buttons on posts.

I also wrapped the code in a div and added a custom class for css positioning. Here is the final code:

</div>4. Now it will require a bit of css for better positioning so it will not interfere with the other social share buttons. Add this code in the theme panel->custom css box:

}}You can get creative with this method and change it to your liking. The VK link above also provides solutions if you want to change the style of the button but I have not tried this.

This ad is showing before sharing and tag widget, why not it’s showing after Tag and Sharing button?
You can open any post in http://www.gadgetsay.com and can see that ad is showing before sharing button and tags button, not only that ad, I already previously added my Adsense ad, and it was also showing me on that area.

If you want the plugin instead of the default sharing of the theme, then you will have to ask the plugin author how to implement the plugin at the top of the article as we did not create the plugin and have no idea of it’s functionality.

You don’t need a plugin for this! Newspaper has a built in functionality for this. If you want to show social media sharing buttons go to: Theme panel -> Post settings and then click on Sharing. Here you can choose where to show social media buttons: at the top of the article, bottom or both.
I’ve just bought a premium plugin for social media sharing, Named ‘Easy social share buttons. I’ve already deactivated the Newspaper theme’s social sharing icons through theme pannel. Still , plugin is not working it is displaying the icons at the bottom ( just after the content) but not above the content.
Same plugin working fine here on your theme, without editing or mannual work

You can show the total number of likes on each post if you activate the classic sharing widget that counts likes. You can activate it from the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/8QwvK9bP8jKn
But there is no widget that can count shares, sorry. You will have to search for a plugin that has this functionality.

Unfortunately as we have our own social sharing icons and plugin we did not test any alternatives. i cannot offer any suggestion as social share plugins are not tested with our themes. Sorry. You will have to try a few of them out and see how they work

In order to know where to edit the code you must first figure out what that element is. it is a block. Blocks use modules as 1 block is made out of 1 ore more modules. In order to figure out which module is that, you can either use the browser inspector or the theme panel category tag list here: http://screencast.com/t/CxcUgpioMHis
Once you identify the module used, you can edit it;s code. For example if I want to modify module 1’s category tag, I would access this file: http://screencast.com/t/tvijQiZJxeTy
You can then use css to target the category tag and position it properly (after you modify the code)
I’m not sure what you mean by replacing the date on the social share links…please provide more details to what social sharing options do you mean and what date are you referring to.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to use the social media sharing on ‘lightbox’, sorry! Please notice that it is not a simple task to implement this setting and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry! Another alternative for you would be to find some plugins which have this functionality and see how these will work with the theme.

It is strange that this issue is not covered in the documentation.
As for duplication, then of course it’s not cloning content (if you criticize), but in order to preserve the similarity of posts and not to re-enter headings, keywords, location h1-h6 I love & sharing social attributes.
