Yesterday, I installed the Newspaper on http://www.forwardosmosistech.com and experimented with the smart sidebar. Didn’t like how it covered the text in my article, so deactivated it through the Theme Panel options.
But for some reason the smart sidebar just won’t disappear (see for example: http://www.forwardosmosistech.com/treatment-of-produced-water-potential-application-of-forward-osmosis/)

When i have Smart sidebar turned off then Sidebar is above the content. (pic1)
When i have Smart sidebar turned off then Sidebar is on content but just only when u are scrolling up.. :-/
This problem we have on http://www.rewind.sk maybe for 5th time… Always when i add or delete some ad from Theme panel Ads, then i delete cache and this appears… i dont know what to do :-/ please help

I just found that my fix breakes the smart sidebar. I fixed it by checking the offset directly:

Hello dear Support,
i was checking now my site (www.rewind.sk) and i found big problem..
I didnt make any changes and this happened.
My sidebar is not working.
When i turn on smart sidebar then is like “sidebar on text” (imgur no. 2)
When i turn off smart sidebar then is my sidebar at the bottom of page… (imgur no. 1)
On imgur no.3 you can see that my sidebar is missing and its on the bottom or in text…
Please i dont know what to do… I’ve just tried everything…

First of all, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. The smart sidebar is a too sensible feature and if your have some untested plugins, the functionality of it might be damaged, sorry! After this, if your problem is still there, please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it.

I am reaching out as my smart slider is present, although i deactivated it in the theme panel. Could you please advice how i can remove the popup side bar, however, make the widget sidebar sticky?

when i go to preview it shows nothing. i have checked so many times. all filters are working except only tag.

Notice that smart sidebar function is too sensible and if it not correctly used, might appear some errors through the console. Make sure that you have right added the td-ss-row extra class to the row and not to the column, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-smart-sidebar/

3) Sorry but we do not have a customization department. we try to help out where we can but we cannot tackle time consuming tasks.
5) The default quote style is added by wordpress. You cannot change the style itself but you can change the css for it making it look like quote box left. The css code for the quote box left is found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/fGnHY8237Py
6,7,8) Unfortuantely those js and css “errors” are plugins that speedbooster is not compatible with. Our plugin will not be abel to move all the plugin styles and js to the footer unfortunately. That is why originally it had the compatibility function included. I provided the solution so you can sue the plugin with other plugins active but that does not mean it will move the js and css for untested plugins. it mearly means it will run and move what it can. WIthout the modification speedbooster would have disbaled itself and not run at all.

Please try to check the following tutorial on how you can use the Visual Composer, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/ Also, if you want that your sidebar to be fixed, you should turn off the Smart Sidebar option from Theme panel.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry! Our major feature for the sidebar is Smart Sidebar. If you want to achieve this, you should do it yourself because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry! thank you for the quick response! As the image suggests, for all the smart sidebars applied in the website, the word seems to be cropped off (VENDORS DETAIL) when scrolling down the website. I am not sure if it is due to some changes I made to the website’s css. Please advice on how I can approach this.

Following the image and url of the website, the smart sidebar (right side of website) implemented seems to be (cut) off when scrolling. Two things just to clarify,
1. I did remove the top padding which was in the template (for alignment of the other website elements). But it seems to not be the cause of the smart sidebar spacing (Might be wrong).

2. I checked that with the removal of the 4 images at the bottom right doesn’t seem to cause the cropping of the smart sidebar too.

Unfortunately if your sidebar is not as long as the content, a white space will show. if your sidebar is longer than the content a big white space will show up in the main content. You need to find a balance between your sidebar and main content or alternatively use a scrolling sidebar: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/

This is not a question but explanations about how to fix a problem.
The sticky menu and smart sidebar was not working with W3 Total Cache when minification was enabled.
I found a solution to fix the problem and I just wanted to share it with other users who could be experiencing the issue.
In the Minify settings page, find the “Never minify the following JS files” field and add this line : wp-content/themes/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js
Then click on the “save settings and purge cache” button.
After that, the cache plugin will not minify the JS file and the sticky menu and the smart sidebar will work as expected.

The pagebuilder + latest articles template cannot have a load more option. What you can do is use the default page template and instead of a ltest articles section, create a new block using your favorite one, and name it latest articles or what you wish adding pagination to it using load more. Simply replace the latest articles section from the page template with a standard paginated block.
As for the sidebar, on any other page template, you will have to create the sidebar on the page itself from the page builder. Either adding elements on a split row directly or simply split the rows and add a widgetized sidebar element. Hello,
I would like to add “load more” button instead of “page number” on the bottom of my home page. I know it is possible to add such button to every other block content, but since the Latest Articles section is always on the bottom of the “Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination” template I don’t know how to manage it. I tried to change the template to some other but I had issues with smart sidebar – it didn’t work properly.

4. Unfortunately that is the theme width, as it can be seen in the demo – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ It would not be recommended to change the width because it will affect the layout of the pages and all the elements that depend on the fixed theme width.
