TagDiv will not say anything because it is true. I have tested it and when I removed SSL, the TagDiv composer stopped working, when I re-activated it, it was just fine. So that’s the truth. Also, this updated version has a lot of imperfections as thousands of people are affected. Everywhere you turn to it’s the same ugly complaint. Also, this theme does not allow you to import the type of block or grid that you would want to, or the type of slide that you would want to. There are many many things missing or many areas not affected by this updated version. It’s a tough task.

That’s correct.It only works on websites that have ‘SSL’ and that display the green padlock on the browser. I am even doing an article on it on simonateba.com. Sometimes even when you have purchased SSL, it still does not work. In that case you need to add a plugin to your WordPress site. It only works if your wordpress site is secure. I have spent days trying different things and it only worked for me and several others when the green padlock appeared on the browser. To understand what I am talking about, go to your browser and type nytimes.com or washingtonpost.com and you will realise that there is a green padlock that appears on the left. That’s how you know your website is secure. If it shows an i, with no green padlock, your website is not secure. The thing about writing code and reeling out products is that it takes time to get perfect and it’s the users who will tell you what’s wrong with and how you can improve it. That’s what Facebook and Google do. But if you’re not ready to hear from the users who are facing challenges, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.

It does not matter whether you sound harsh or not, it always display our level of understanding and tolerance. The main issue now is that the theme does not allow us to select slider revolution. There seem to be myriad of complications with the new updated version of the theme and thousands of people seem to be facing the same gruesome challenges.

I was able to make the theme work even though slider revolution is still unable to work for me and several people.

For those experiencing the same problem, after clearing your cache, for your browser, your CDN, and your website and any other cache that you can clear, you need to disable all the plugins except TagDiv Composer only.

But be careful because this will only work if your site is secure. Having a secure site would mean these two things, having an SSL installed on it and making sure the green key shows on the browser.

If you have an SSL on it but the green key is not showing, it won’t work. In that case you will need to install the plugin “Really Simple SSL” to make it secure. In most cases it will work.

Once, you have installed that plugin, disable all other plugins, except TagDiv plugin and Really Simple SSL plugin.

Do not try to edit your current home page using TagDiv. Leave your current home page and create another home page. This will work and you will just move and drop elements.

But there are still other problems. You may not see all the elements. You will need to search others that you cannot see by entering for instance slider, big slide, block 20, etc, on the left side where you pick the blocks.

Having done all that, it will work but the slider revolution may, sadly and regrettably, not work, as it is in my case.

Now, it works. The problem was the SSL certificate.

Dear Robert, could you please clarify how you fixed it? After you changed the TagDiv code into get_content, does the rest of the theme functionalities still work?

I have solved the problem and I understand why others may have it. For TagDiv Composer to work, the site have to be secure. Not, just having an SSL certificate but you must be sure that part of the site is not secure. There’s a WordPress plugin that solves the problem for those who already have an SSL certificate. It takes 5 minutes to fix. Once your site is secure with a green padlock, your TagDiv composer would start to function normally. The only problem now is that it still takes some time to open after you move the element, it takes like forever. How can I fix that one?

Okay, as per the request, here are complete steps: (assuming you have set up nameservers for your domain correctly pointing to cloudfare domains)

This guide is for GoDaddy though, similar may be available, i don’t have experience over other hostings.

1. Under Crypto tab of Cloudfare, create an Origin Certificate. Select RSA as private key and don’t forget to add wildcards (subdomain). Hostnames should include yourdomain.com and *.yourdomain.com .
2. Get the private key and certificate. Keep the tab open or save it to some text files.
3. In your hosting cPanel, head to SSl/TLS section.
4. Enter the private key and add the one generated by Cloudfare Origin Certificate (Step 2)
5. Repeat for Certificate.
6. For the CA Bundle, you will have to copy it from here- Cloudfare Root Certificate
7. Validate the SSl through Install and Manage SSL Certificates.
8. Head to Crypto section of Cloudfare and activate Full(strict) under SSL (very top of crypto).

That’s all steps needed for setting up free Cloudfare SSL https Certificate.

Apart from that, you might also need to set up redirection from http to https using .htaccess code. For that, do following:

> Head to root directory and edit .htaccess file. Add this code just after RewriteEngine On–

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

Final step i would recommend is to setup search engines- Google, Bing and Yandex to use https also. You can submit them separately on them.

Apart from that, very last trick, most people tend to submit their sitemap to search engines and wait for them to process their website pages. I would recommend you edit the pages first, add SEO to them, and when you are done (yes, completely satisfied with everthing including on-page optimization as well as interlinking), simply force the search engines to re-crawl your pages.

Following is a short guide to force re-index pages-

1. Google- Head to search console and use fetch and render tool.
2. Bing- Don’t use fetch as bot, rather use this link and submit your pages.
3. Yandex- You can use re-index important pages.

You can now delete visual composer but keep in mind that some elements will have to be recreated using the tagdiv composer. We recommend when making the change from one builder to another to recreate the entire page using the tagdiv composer only.

After the cloudfare setup, you will have to follow steps below;

1. Head to Crypto section of Cloudfare.
2. Create an Origin Certificate and upload it to your domain.
3. Validate the certificate in your domain.
4. Under SSl of Crypto (Cloudfare page), activate the certificate with Full (Strict).
