I have a strange problem. When I make a new post, the text dont show, only the title. The text and picutres in the box below titel just go blank after I pres uppdate/publish.
Anyone know why?

I am having strange issue with desktop version. I am uploading my images size more than 750 pixels in width. but while displaying on desktop it’s showing only 650 pixels in width, while I can see there is space available to display images atleast 700 pixels. I don’t know why but it’s not using the full available space to display.
on front page of website it’s showing proper 700 pixels but only on posts page it’s placing strange white space.
please find below image what I mean to say.

Andrei, I really enjoyed the theme and the support. But the current situation is really strange to me. I report about a bug. A serious, not a minor bug with a theme in a popular browser. For my site about 15% of visitors use Opera. And every web-site in russian has similar fraction of Opera users.
And what response do I get? “We cannot fix browser’s incompatibilities”. Than tagdiv should specify at the product page that the correct work is guaranted only with latest versions of browsers. However, at the product page at EnvatoMarket I see something very different. There is a list of compatible browsers. There I see IE versions 8-11 and Opera among other. It is not lilsted “Opera 38.0”. It is listed “Opera”. That means customer expect stable work not only with the latest version. Otherwise that should be clearly specified.
And I want to know if the position you stated (“We cannot fix browser’s incompatibilities”) your personal opinion or is it the offcical position of the complany on the point?

I’ve tried your suggestions. I also confirmed that the server requirements are met. In addition, I switched to the main theme (instead of the child one) leaving the theme with its default style.
As my website struggles to stay online using caching, I downloaded it to my development server (no external visits) for more testing and I noticed strange behavior regarding images. I deleted my homepage latest post images only from the filesystem which (as excepted) results in many 404 errors. Then my development server had high CPU usage. I switched to my previous theme and the load is gone. I tried the same experiment when navigating to Admin > Media. When Newspaper was active, I had high CPU load while my browser was trying fetching the deleted files. When switching back to my previous theme, the load was gone and the Media screen loaded instantly. It seems very strange. Browser directly hits Apache requesting static files which normally is the same regardless of the theme used. How this different behavior could be possible when switching themes?

I’ve checked your site and noticed that the thumbs are not generated properly. Try to regenerate you thumbnails following this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear the caches then test again.

We cannot guide you any further. you need to find your htaccess file: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/why-you-cant-find-htaccess-file-on-your-wordpress-site/ and then add the code like the topic suggests. It does not require any knowledge. Simply add the code at the top of the file.
Try to add the code as suggested here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/ as it does not work the same for all users.

I’m trying to place an AdBlade widget after a video on pages like this:

It is supposed to be responsive from 550px to 900px, but it looks like the theme is overriding it somehow. I had to insert the right sidebar through an inline code using the AdBlade plugin to finally get it to work. For below the post I can’t seem to place shortcode into the bottom of post ad spot using the theme and the code from AdBlade doesn’t work (looks like how it looks right now – two columns vs. three). I tried to hard-code it into the single.php file, but that just calls for all the content dynamically and there is no way to put it in where I want it. Here is the ad code:

First of all, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
I have checked your website in the mobile mode and I saw that you have the Chinese symbols instead of social icons and mobile menu. Usually, this kind of error appears when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source.
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/

In may case solution was… adding at least 1 follower to the profile 🙂
Anyway, there seems to be some other reason for unproper working of the plugin.
Could it be that some time before I had the same issue when I accidentally used full Twitter profile URL instead of just profile name? It also caused dissapearrance of images. Any code left since then and causing problems?
Both theme and Social Counter are up to date and I don’t use any strange plugin apart from “must have” ones.

thanks for letting me thinking again. I did made a fresh install without success. I also deactivated all plugins without any changes.
But, as you said I need a fresh install. I did a fresh install in the directory “newspaper”, but that didn’t work.
So, I made a new theme folder that I gave a random name. I installed everything in this new folder, activated the theme and everything is working again.
So if you choose the same folder it doesn’t work. Make a new folder and it works.
Strange workaround but anyway it works. The theme folder is just a name 🙂

Hi! After installing the 7.1.1 version ot the theme, I found a strange greenblock in the upper right corner of the mobile menu:
I have tried it in a number of mobile browsers (including default android) – it is always there. I think it is a sort of a bug. Do you have an idea how to take it away?

Recently found that strange problem appeared on my site.
Images in posts (intext) always was full width. But some days ago it chenged.
And i cant find how to fix it.(
I have exactly the same issue as Jonspeegle.
While testing them I use my personal account Twitter ID which I just tried change to a new one, of my website profile.
This is how it goes:
I use twitter ID in widgets (in sidebar and footer) and also in Visual Composer block on home page. When I insert ID in widgets – pics dissapear, when in VC – whole home page except main menu.
It is strange because it seems as it happens only when Twitter profile is new. When I take any Twitter ID of any other profile it works fine. Even if I use different ID’s. Should I wait some time for my new profile ID to be somehow accepted? 🙂

I am getting a very strange problem. I am using this on http://ieroworld.net/hi/
In all mobile (Samsung S5, Note 4, LG ) mobile view is http://prntscr.com/bi0oo8 where as your demo mobile view is http://prntscr.com/bi0q4d

This is strange, I think the problem may be a setting at my webhost as changes that I’d made in style.css have come through – maybe they’re implementing some sort of cache?

First things first: I’m so glad to have discovered Newspaper, it’s an incredible theme!
I’m putting the finishing touches on my site (www.glacierjournal.com) and the thumbnail images for block 18 are super-grainy on the homepage. I followed the steps here to fix the issue, but it didn’t help: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
I’m still not sure I understand how to use the settings under ThemePanel => BlockSettings => ThumbsOnModules/Blocks.
I want the thumbnail for block 18 to be 1068 x 590. How/Where do I specify this?

I have a strange problem with my site.
Some of the images do not show up at first in chrome. It is a bit strange in firefox as well.
The images show up however when I change the screen size.
Is there a solution for this?

I have noticed that images also come back if I go to another tab in chrome and then switch back.
