Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also try to regenerate all thumbnails as seams that the theme use some images which are not cropped. Here is a guide in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Okay! I went through the process and the conflict seems to be cause by the WP Super Minify. This is strange since I’ve had this plugin for quite some time and never had issues. Guess I’ll just leave it deactivated for now. 🙂

1) I have checked your website URL and I have inspected closer your duplicate image and notice that you have used ‘?’ in ALT tag. Unfortunately, this is a known issue with our theme at the moment. So, if you are using “strange” characters (!@#$%^&*/”- etc) in ALT tag, the image will be twice. I have added this issue to our list of fixes and in next major updates will solve this problem. 2)Also, we know about this issue about nonvisible caption in the smart list and we try to fix it in next major update.
3)Please notes that it is the behaviour of this feature. If you want to display the custom size of the image that you have change from the panel, you should try to use the latest smart list (smart list 8) because in this one was implemented as the image to be as you wish. If you want to have the same functionality in another smart list, you have to check the code from core file for smart list 8 -> http://screencast.com/t/JJL0XwNb and try to implement for your desired smart list. If you are not aware the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for your because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

I did set the CATEGORY TOP POSTS STYLE to Grid2 and saved settings. Switching to preview, everything looks as expected. As soon as I log out and view it again, the settings are lost. If I log in again, the settings are active and shown as expected.
Some other settings don’t become active after saving. After each modification I have to log out to be able to check the layout. The behaviour is browser independant, so I suppose my understanding of the Newspaper 6 configuration must be poor …

In our articles where we have inserted an apostrohpe, it’s showing up as ’. we also have issues with symbols appearing next to the use of currency symbols.

For some strange reason, I have one category that will not show its sidebar. I have everything set properly in Theme Panel –> Categories, set with a custom sidebar widget. All other categories are working except for one!

Any idea why this one category is not showing its sidebar widget?

I have tested again the article inline ad on my side and everything seem to work as expected and as I have explained you above…it is strange that you cannot obtain the same result with this kind of feature and I cannot recreate your issue, sorry! Also, please ensure that you are not using the article bottom ads and please try without untested plugins because it could produce some interference in code’s theme and can broke the functionality of this feature. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and check again and see how it works. After this advice, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your credentials (wp-admin) so we can further inspect the issue and your page setup. Also, please provide a link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.

I’ve checked both of your pages and noticed that the theme use the full image in thumbs, not actually the thumb cropped at the specific value: http://screencast.com/t/Ye6GO99Grd In this situation the image it’s scaled down by css and because of aspect ration it’s not displayed fine.
Try to regenerate your thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ clear all caches and test again. Like this thumbs should be regenerated for all images and also should be displayed fine in blocks.

After reading your reply, I decided against redirection and left the login as is. However I am noticing something strange. First, if you could please go to MainStRock.com, and on the main menu click My Profile (please ensure you are not logged in). This menu item is supposed to bring you to the My Profile Page which offers front end edits to submitted posts for the user. Instead of the login box appearing it takes you to the WP login. Worse, after you login, it does not take you to the page the “My Profile” menu item is supposed to take you to, instead it takes you to the WP backend. How do I fix this?

As for the menu disappearance, there could be a plugin conflict so please disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear cache/reset cdn.

Hi,
I have a peculiar behavior on the site layout. When I am logged into the WordPress site with an admin account, the site layout is perfect.
But when I log out and check it (just as any normal visitor to the site), the social media icons on the top menu, search icon (magnifier glass) on the main menu, dropdown arrows on main menu disappears and get replaced by some strange characters. See screenshots below.
This issue persists only on the home page.
Please help how to resolve this problem.

Hi, i have a custom PHP codes running in 3 static pages. I have created the pages using the wordpress back-office, and writing the title and using the default template.
For example, the ID of one of them is 100, with slug “contacto”.
I folowed the Template hierarchy and re-named a copy of “/Newspaper/page.php” file in my theme child.
Single Page #
custom template file – The page template assigned to the page. See get_page_templates(). page-{slug}.php – If the page slug is recent-news, WordPress will look to use page-recent-news.php page-{id}.php – If the page ID is 6, WordPress will look to use page-6.php. page.php singular.php index.php
In my case i chosse using this name: page-archive.php (but i tested with page-100.php too)
I am running this in mi localhost and in other hosting for testing purposes, and are working great.
Working in a new server:
The strange thing is that now, i have imported 160.000 news , and for an unknown reason this hierarchy don’t work any more. Now is working in localhost.. “the same files”!! but in the real production server this is not working.
Then i created all these files with empty content. Only with the line <?php echo ‘page-slug.php’;?>.
And they never load!.
Why is this happening?.

I have checked your webiste and saw that both examples provided have titles and breadcrumbs: http://screencast.com/t/bnQuwFWqhFy The fact that is now displaying both the titles is strange as the default template does not display the titles. Only page builder + page title has the title visible: http://screencast.com/t/hkQXjKEyd3b and your pages do not have the same template selected. Maybe you have some custom modifications in place.
I have also checked the menu but it seems to display fine. I found no problems with it
