Hi,

It seems that your settings are not saved. Please check the max_input_vars value in system status section: http://screencast.com/t/V8MumQISR and make sure that it’s set above 2000. Contact your host provider and let him know about this if you can’t access php.ini file.

Thanks!

Yes Andrei, system status shows that speed booster is active. I doublechecked the file id, cleared all the caches, and still have the same result with the jquery-migrate.min javascript render blocking. Any other ideas.
Thanks,

Hi

Please check in System status if the Seed Booster plugin is active: http://screencast.com/t/aB6l7kDziC If the plugin is disabled try to comment this lines: http://screencast.com/t/HaOmyxJ45oX Also make sure that you added the correct file id, clear all caches and test again.

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked your site and you have some js errors – http://screencast.com/t/alIIaQHsQ4 I guess they come from a plugin you use(wp rocket), please try to disable it and check if the issue is still there.
Regarding the pagespeed test as you can see a issue is server response time so please read the recommendations – http://screencast.com/t/WMlFSZuHThttps://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/Server
You can try to reduce the number of plugins and also note that the speed booster move the js and css at the bottom of the page to Eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones.
Also you can read this guide, it may help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thanks!

Hello,

Try to clear all caches, deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active and test again, also verify the console for any errors while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If the problem persist try to check system status: http://screencast.com/t/3Nv4Hrv6

Increase max_execution_time at least at 300 and the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation.
The WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from default-constants.php file it’s overwritten by the value from wp-config.php so try to modify the value from that file, here it’s a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hello,

in the past this worked. However now (maybe because of some update the files got rewritten), I tried to put again the values as shown in (http://screencast.com/t/HHQV9KFc2) for excluding categories from posts, but they don’t seem to have any effect.

As I see this is in the speed-booster location. I have enabled speedbooster and it seems to be working in the system status (Speed Booster i v4.1 – Active)

Pasted below is the transcript of my live chat with the hosting provider.
As you can see, “max_input_vars” was increased to 5000
I tested my WP site, BUT the original problem STILL persists.
This is getting frustrating … I need to have this issue resolved … thank you.

Rositsa D.: Hello Rick
Rositsa D.: Welcome over the Live Chat
Rick Kirschbrown: Hello …
Rositsa D.: I hope you are doing good today!
Rositsa D.: How may I help?
Rick Kirschbrown: I am having a problem with a WP theme and the developer sent me this message:
Rick Kirschbrown: Please check your system status: http://screencast.com/t/h4jUm2yqmtK I suspect it comes from the max_input_vars. Try to increase it from the default 1000 to 5000. You have to check the host documentation for details on how this can be done. (usually you have to add a php.ini file in the wordpress directory and add the following lines in it: max_input_vars = 5000 ) But ask your hosting provider first.
Rositsa D.: I will check this for you right away
Rick Kirschbrown: I need to upload a screenshot for you …
Rositsa D.: I would like to confirm that new amount of 5000 has been set for your max input vars
Rositsa D.: You may check the amount from the PHP Variables Manager located in your Cpanel
Rositsa D.: If there is anything else I could be helpful with, please let me know.
Rick Kirschbrown: Okay … you just increased the amount to 5000 ???
Rositsa D.: I just increased the amount to 5000
Rick Kirschbrown: okay … thank you … I will test the WP theme now …
Rositsa D.: Thank you! If any further assistance is needed you are always welcome to contact us back at any time!

Hello fbiotai93,

Please check your system status from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/1vxbEokXXux6
Try to increase the memory allocated to php in wp-config.php file, here is a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can also check your error log and see what it shows. There could be a number of plugins that do that as well. You can try to disable all plugins except visual composer and see if the problem is still there

Hi,

I don’t know exactly how your php.ini looks like, but I guess that it is commented. Nothing should be in front of the line, so you can remove it if it works and check the System Status to see if it is applied.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

Quick one – hopefully not too difficult to fix

System Status is showing Speedbooster Plugin DIsabled

v4.1 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: vaultpress/vaultpress.php

I would obviously like to keep running with Vaultpress since I have paid for it!

Any ideas?

Thanks so much

Hi,

I am running Newspaper 6 theme on my site which is hosted on my VPS. In the system status of the Newspaper theme I can see that the value of the max_input_vars is set to 1000 in the php.ini file. So I have followed the instructions I have found here on this forum so I have created php.ini file where I have defined max_inup_vars to 3000 and put it in the WordPress installation folder but it did not helped. I have also searched my VPS server for all php.ini files that exists and changed on each of them this value to 3000.

However, nothing helps. Could you please let me know how to fix this issue since I cannot save any changes on the theme.

Here is the link of the system status display http://cl.ly/image/342s2g1g3K3z

Best Regards,
Vladimir

Hi
my problem was that the server software was not Apache but Microsoft IIS. Changing server software through the host, now it works. You can find the server software version in Newspaper – System status – php.ini configuration.

Hi,

I see that you have many warnings regarding buddypress, so please check the System Status to see if the speed booster plugin is active as it becomes automatically inactive if other plugins rather the tested ones are used – http://screencast.com/t/zcTc7xzcb
If you want to make it work with all plugins you will have to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh
It should remove the js and css for specific id without issues, but please check this in the page source as on pagespeed test may not be removed all the render block warnings.

Thanks!

Since a recent Newsmag update the Speed Booster in Newsmag system status seems to conflict with all other plugins.
I thought it was just one, but every time I remove a plugin the next one is named as the problem.

It says this in the Newsmag system status:-
Speed Booster – v4.1 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: ewww-image-optimizer/ewww-image-optimizer.php

But if I disable ewww-image-optimizer the next plugin is named.

Anyway – even if it solved the issue, I need my plugins!

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello Diana,

The user you see in the system status unfortunately cannot be removed (just changed) because it represents the latest request made to Youtube. That is the last username you used in your social counter. In order to change it you have to add a different user to the youtube social counter: http://screencast.com/t/6OiZ8Dj3Z0 and so the new one will be displayed.
This is the current behavior of the theme but in the near future we will try to implement an option for these social entries in the system status.

Thank you.

Hi,
When I look at the Newspaper 6 settings>system status and scroll down to the bottom there is social networks. There I see our facebook and twitter but there is also a youtube one for a jonlajoie. I looked in our social settings and there isn’t a youtube profile in the field. Here it is as of today:

How do I remove this guy?

youtube 1196740 1196740 1434991960 – 23:29:12 ago 10800 jonlajoie

Search our users to and nothing!

Thank you,

Hi @hoarr

Try to increase the memory allocated to php in wp-config.php file, here it’s a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP If you still get this behavior also test this by disabling all plugins, also check in system status if the max_input_vars values, this should be over 2000: http://screencast.com/t/FDC4K3PJOCME

@ctrlinternet
we didn’t tested the theme with any Cloud Flare plugin and I am not aware of its functionality, you may try an alternative to it.

Thanks!

Hello,
I’ve confirmed that I have set up php.ini by checking phpinfo() within my site’s folder (hosting with BlueHost). However, the System Status page doesn’t show any of my PHP environment changes accurately. It also doesn’t detect WP Rocket as a caching plugin. I was wondering if there’s a setting to allow System Status to get the correct information? It looks like it’s just defaults showing up otherwise.
I have confirmed that it is recognizing WP environment changes, as it shows the correct value for WP Memory Limit.
Thank you!

I deactived all the plugin but with no success.
In the System Status panel I found this:
SUHOSIN is installed – it may cause problems with saving the theme panel if it’s not properly configured

Could it be the problem? What is SUHOSIN and how can I solve this?

Hi

Try do deactivate all plugins, clear the caches, also check the system status values: http://screencast.com/t/wlOgIkN7cTAl the the max_input_vars directive should be over 2000, that value must be changed in php.ini file.

Let us know how it goes and provide your site url if the problem persist. so I can inspect this issue closer.

Thanks!
