Am not able to register the Theme, it shows the above error.
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Tried all these :
1. Turned off Mod security.
2. Turned on “allow_url_fopen”
PHP version – 7.4
Everything shows green in the System Status page.
Please help activate the theme. Thank you.

I just installed the theme and was starting to populate the page when this message popped up.
I reinstalled the theme and it keeps happening. Cant edit in the visual composer anymore and I do not have access to the back end of the hosting to fix this until later tonight.
Also when I checked the theme health this was there
PHP extensions
mbstring not available – For details on how to enable this extension please check the System status parameters guide
GD library not available – For details on how to enable this extension please check the System status parameters guide
Hopefully you could help me figure out why this is happening and how to fix it from my end.

That would mean that there are limitation in your server configuration, an upload max size more exactly

You can contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the default value, they should be able to do that. The theme also has some requirements for the server once installed, like the guide mentiones

Hi,
The Hamburger menu in mobile loses functionality when adding a VIDEO PLAYER to the Front Page. The website recedes, but the menu drawer does not appear from the left side.
This same scenario works perfectly in older versions of NEWSPAPER, so it is something new. It is essential to my business model that videos play when touched from the front page.
I have started from scratch, and installed the latest WP 5.42, Newspaper 10.36, and Demo Theme: Video News. No other plugins have been added that are not specifically included, except WP Super Cache, which is recommended in your System Status page.
The only change I have made to the Demo theme is to add a VIDEO PLAYER to the front page. Help! Thanks!

Hi,
If you are trying to save something in theme panel and the loading icon is in a loop, ask your host to check if you do not have some firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. Usually these make some 403 or 404 error in console when you click on save settings button from theme panel.

Newspaper Theme was developed around WP Super Cache. You can use another plugin if it does its job. The system status will only recognize WP Super Cache but any other plugin that works can be used.

Does the Newspaper theme only work optimally when using the WP Super Cache plugin ?. The thing is I use LiteSpeed Web Server (CyberPanel) and previously installed the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and it can’t be read as a cache plugin on the Newspaper system status.
then, what is the best web server to use newspaper theme?

I have some problems with the Theme Panel after updating to 10.3.6 and updating the plugins:
1. Accessing Block Settings > Thumbs on Modules/Blocks will not open – continual spinner.
2. Opening Plugins’ Settings/Mobile theme shows a blank window. I.e no settings
3. Opening Plugins’ Settings/Multi-Purpose shows a blank window. I.e no settings
Checked Newspaper/System status – all OK.

Make sure that you have tagDiv Composer activate, only theme the activation tab will be display, if this is till not display, check in Newspaper -> system status and reset the key from there -> https://imgur.com/FcSzuAu after that the tab should be display.

If the problem is not caused by plugins, please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

I’m having trouble activating my theme. When I go into system status, it says that my “theme is not registered” and to “Activate Now” and when I attempt to do that, it says, “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” I need to know how to fix this problem.
