Hi,
I just updated the new version of Newspaper and later i figured out that it has stopped letting anyone to login except the admin and the screen cease to go further after we enter password. I reverted to older version and it started working.
How i could use the new version to perform normally?
Are you people planning to fix the bugs (user login, AMP plugin issues etc)?
I’m having problems to use TD composer after the update. The text element is not working properly, I put the text and it’s not saving. I tried to deactivate and upload the plugin again, but still not working.
please help us…waiting
The AMP plugin doesn’t seem to recognize custom settings. Will there be a future update or this is it?
Hi @simion I want to suggest about AMP plugin update in the future
1. Please add option move logo from center to left side
2. Please provide us option to hide footer
Thanks
thank you epickenyan for letting the PHP 7.2 problem be known. this is the first time in many years I’ve seen so many people have the exact same issue with this theme so I knew it had to be something with the update.
Delete both the td composer and td multipurpose plugins and install the updated versions that came with the theme. Remember to clear website and browser cache. (Also check if your site uses php 7.2 coz I have seen a similar problem with my site and had to downgrade to php 7.1).
Well, that was a wild ride, but here’s the solution: Had to completely delete the old td-composer from my site and install the new zip in the 8.7 package.
I updated to 8.7 originally from Envato
Thanks for the response Simion.
In future update can you please recommend Table integration directly from theme itself like blogger themes offered.
Regards
Jubel
when i was trying to update my theme to v8.7 i found this message ” Sorry, it looks like you’re currently locked out of your account. Please contact Help Team for more details. “.
Hi @simion, I got the same problem when I update the theme. You can see here> https://ibb.co/mr4oqn
I don’t know what to do now?
Alex
Hi @Simion C. I tried to update to PHP 7.2 but I get only the header and a white space. The problem seems to be td composer and td multipurpose not working with php 7.2. Any solution?
Publish the fix, please. A similar problem, so I’m using WPBakery Page Builder. Or tell me how to disable the automatic inclusion of the tagDiv Composer after the theme update.
Depends on hosting plan with GoDaddy as they roll that out…
with dedicated or VPN, see:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/install-a-lets-encrypt-ssl-apache-20245
Shared/managed hosting:
If your hosting setup on GoDaddy uses cPanel with GoDaddy, you can install the Let’s Encrypt SSL cert for free, however as of last look it needed to be manually updated every 3 months as the auto-update option was not yet enabled with the cPanel plugin.
Or switch to one of the many top hosting providers who *do* support it 🙂
Obviously GoDaddy makes a lot of money off selling validated SSL certs annually, so they are not going to kill that business — but they need to support LE as it’s being pushed by a lot of big players like Google, etc. who are basically forcing everybody to do SSL/HTTPS/TLS or get a warning sticker.
Of course; none of that is related to updating site content for ANY https/TLS environment.
Cheers. I’m no longer on this board as of Feb. 17, so take care all! 🙂
Well,
The new update was pretty good, but there were many complaining about amp. It was, indeed as expected from any other amp plugin. But there are many who have already tried using amp plugin, but deactivating the plugin is not simply the solution. You will have to redirect the users from having 404 error to the actual place it should have been.
Try the below methods:
1. Using redirect plugin-
Add this in source url- /(.*)\/amp
Then add this in target url-
http://example.com/$1
And tick regex.
2. Manually –
In .htaccess, add below code:
// Redirect AMP to non-AMP
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (.+)/amp(.*)$
RewriteRule ^ %1/ [R=301,L]
All good web hosting providers now offer Let’s Encrypt SSL certs for free, so ‘free’ certs is not a main element for choosing a solution for https.
However, you still need to search/replace content in your post meta which has http such as placed images to be https. And any theme panel elements like social links for RSS feed, logo links, favicon link, etc. need to be updated.
We’ve done about 50 conversions from http to https since 2014 with WordPress. The way I outline above is recommended, but simply dumping stuff onto a CDN won’t fix all that either.
Lots of choices, obviously. 🙂
None of my posts are appearing after the theme update [manually updated using FTP]
I’ve disabled the tagdiv composer, but still, I couldn’t see my posts. They are all appearing blank like this – http://prntscr.com/ifpe0l [Can’t scroll down]
If I disabled the theme, everything is working fine. Any help on this?
I would like to warn you, that this update has been the worst since you launching the theme, I have never seen so much going wrong, loading time on my website, is doubled, and this AMP plugin is the worst I have ever seen, I will not be able to use this update.
After years using this theme, I will search for ohter.
Thanks.
You need to
a) update all settings in theme to show https vs http
b) update WP admin panel settings for https
c) do search/replace in your mysql dbase for all placed files and links in posts from http to https
d) useful to explicitly include https URL to website and theme/plugin folders in wp-config.php
e)resave permalinks again in theme panel before / after any changes
f) setup redirect for all content from http to https version; but this can also now be done with most hosting panels (Plesk/ONYX, CPANEL, etc.)
No ‘plugin’ can do all that for you, unfortunately.
Hi,
i already update all theme plugins, also if only td composer is active wp-admin break to works. I already send email to contact@tagdiv.com
Thanks a lot sir, have been able to successfully update it.
Hello Chief Nation,
Notice that update does not affect any padding and margins, sorry! Before each update, most important is to make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data. Make sure that you have correctly installed the theme via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. Try to recreate your homepage and check the results and also, very important is to use the exact plugin version which come bundled with the theme core files.
Thanks for the message!
@dailyfemme I would suggest a theme reinstall, there are still some javascript errors in the page. There are no errors on a default theme install or such unusual issues. Reinstall the theme by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then check if the problem is solved. If it is not, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. We will take a look. Also paste a link to this topic in the email.
@thebestprogrammerintheworld From what I see there is no problem accessing the mobile menu

The theme and mobile theme plugin are compatible with super cache, there should not be any issues when using them.

@Stefan Please try it like this

@homzik The plugin is optional you can deactivate it and try other AMP plugins. It will be improved over future updates to provide more settings and features.
