Please notice that our recommendation for theme installing is through FTP because this is the surest method in this case. You can update the theme via WordPress according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ If you cannot do this, you should consult your server administrator and load the theme via FTP way.

That may happen if both composers are active. Please check the plugins section and deactivate the tagDiv composer. If you are using Visual composer, deactivate the tagDiv composer.
At the moment it will be activated by default when the theme is installed or updated.

Since new update of theme (8.5.1) i have a problem with a new posts. When I create a new post the ads of adsense ads doesn´t appears (Article top ad and article botton ad). I have to use plugin optmize wp and clean caché (Wp Super Caché plugin) and 5 minutos ago works fine. Before I have not this problem, but since new update i have this problema and i have not any new plugin.
Is something similar to someone happening? Thank you!!
I am using WPBakery Page Builder to add a singe image element to my home page. This worked fine for a long time then recently broke after a recent newspaper update (not sure if it is related). The images in all my ‘single image’ elements are now showing at full size (very large) and are not resizing correctly.
In noticed that there is now something called TagDiv Composer that when used sets the default image size to “Cover” and I am suspecting that maybe this setting has been pushed to all my ‘single image’ elements?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Since the last update I have a small bit (maybe 10-15 pixels) of padding suddenly appearing at the bottom of my site. It appears on all pages and in all browsers I tested. I have been trying to target in in css to see what could be causing it, but no luck :-/

After updating to WordPress 4.9.1 using the Newspaper Theme 6.6.5, I have alignment problems with my photos… but not all of them. They look and line up fine in Edit Mode, but once the site is published, many photos and captions put flush right (with text wrap) appear to have no alignment at all. This makes the pages look extremely chaotic, like this one. After the feature photo, all photos are flush right in edit mode. On the site, however, the first two pictures align flush right, then do not for most of the following photos, with a few exceptions. I’ve checked and rechecked the codes and alignment, to no avail. This only began after the 4.9.1. update.

Editing page blocks using Visual Editor doesn’t affect the site. I’m using Firefox Quantum 57.0.3 64-bit
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Edit homepage
2. Change e.g. the title of a block: https://wpde.sk/po/opcl2k70rqjp.png
3. Click Save changes
4. Update the page
5. There is no effect on the live site
Using Chrome it works just fine.

Same issue here – disabled and deleted Multi-purpose plugin and reinstalled it – Theme panel is still not working – cannot change the logo and if I add a link to change the uploaded logo or change the blog name (using default demo) it shows but there is no save changes or update button to keep this…. cannot remove or change the logo or colors using any of your buttons…. I AM using your child theme….. that came with 8.5 tho it says it is 7.7….. Deleted & re-installed now at 8.5.1 child theme 7.7c…. same problems nothing works…..

Hi I have just updated to Newspaper 8.5.1 and am using Safari 11.0.2. When I edit a page in TD Composer and go to add e.g. a row, the element panel is not working properly, and I am not seeing the correct options – e.g. I cannot select the columns. I took a screen shot but cannot work out how to upload.
The problem does not appear if I use Chrome browser.

There were some issues with version 8.5 but they were fixed in 8.5.1. After updating the theme, deactivate the multi-purpose plugin and remove it, then re-install it from the latest theme package.

These styles are supposed to apply only when using a multi-purpose header style, but they seem to affect default header styles as well. We are aware of the issue and we will fix it in the next theme update, sorry for this inconvenience.

If the theme was installed as expected via FTP way should work as properly. It was made some changes in the theme because it was an update but these changes do not affect this regard. Try making a new clean install from scratch to another subdomain, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare resave your panel and check the results and also, ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme.

You could make a backup of the page shortcodes in case you want to save a default page state, an option to save page templates may be added in a future update

Or try the WordPress revisions to revert the page to a previous state.
Maybe the plugin that you are using changes something in the page when it creates the copy, and this results in the error. We did not make any tests with such plugins unfortunately.

I use Duplicate Post (and have for years to create a copy of the page I wish to update so that I can go back to the original if I have to.
UnderConstruction – allows only signed in users to see the WordPress site and work on it.
How do I create a copy to edit with tagDiv Composer so that I don’t lose the original demo page?

I don’t quite understand what you are doing, what are you copying. The post loop you are referring to would be the Latest articles section, this will be displayed in the bottom of the page when the required template is selected for the page

So simply select this page template for the pages you wish, new pages or previously created. Then update the page and the post loop will appear.
The demos are created with tagDiv composer. The theme does not have any Under construction feature, that could be added by a plugin you have.
Please correct me if I misunderstand the issue.

One of the great characteristics that made me buy this theme was the fact of being directed to magazines and news portals. The last updates of the theme, especially the last one, showed that the “Newspaper Theme” is changing its essence, and now it has become a multi utility theme. Which is, in fact, displeasing me. I sincerely wish the theme was back to the essence, and that future updates come with features similar to the theme “Zox News” (I’m almost switching).

I’ve updated successfully my theme to 8.5.1 version, but I cannot delete the demo images inside wp-content/uploads/, like wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_1.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_2.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_3.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_4.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_5.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_6.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_7.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_8.jpg, wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_9.jpg.
Even if I delete them via WordPress media library or directly via FTP, these demo images are ALWAYS restored.
With my own images there is no issue, only with demo images inside wp-content/uploads/.
Can you please help me to fix this annoying issue?
