I have changed the name and when I’m trying to update it, it is telling me to download the theme rather than showing there’s an update. I’m using this method B. Update the theme automatically
It’s possible it stopped working due to other conflict like WordPress 4.8.1, Yoast SEO update, WooCommerce update, etc., etc.
Good to check the support topics for that plugin also.
And, of course, check F12 for console errors, turn on the built-in WordPress error log debug function, check your hosting panel for error log, etc. — as good ways to see what is causing hiccups.
Sometimes plugins like ‘autooptimize’ or a CDN or cache plugin setting can break things, too.

Make sure you install properly.
DELETE your old wp-content/plugins/newspaper
theme folder; upload new one.
Update any theme plugins you use as well, which are also found in the ‘all files’ download, in the Newspaper-tf folder.

And in your demo, i don’t see the bbpress code.
Do you delete it by yourself or it’s an update problem?
And it can be good if you do the same for woocommerce.
Update for whoever following this thread.. I found it’s NOT a facebook issue. The likes are not gone because Jetpack plugin still shows old numbers. Anyway, for the time being I have disabled the Likes option in the Theme panel.

Thank you for getting back to me. I thought the drop in traffic may have been temporary as well, but after 10 days I had no choice but to roll back to v7. This is a serious issue for me because it impacted not only traffic, but revenue as well. I lost money on Adsense and from affiliates that I will never be able to recover.
I reviewed all of the material you sent and we did everything by the book. Google Analytics code was fine, page speed was great, and the only other change was installing version 8. The only thing we didn’t do was implement your new tagDiv Composer because I don’t have time to rebuild all my pages.
I do need to get Text Block editing working again so I can update content, so I need your help. Let me know what additional information you need.

Hi there. I recently updated my theme to the latest version of the theme and somehow my logo is no longer in line with the menu bar and appears too big, whereas before it was all on the same line. You can use visual composer just as before. We do not restrict the use of VC. But you will have to keep in mind that in the future we will add no new features to the visual composer plugin. We will only add new features to our own tagdiv composer. We will still provide updates to vc but no new blocks or grids.
We will be able to provide older theme versions via email.

After having updated the Newspaper Theme to the version 8.1, suddendly a huge text area appears on the bottom of my starting page just above the footer area. The content which is shown, is from an event article I once wrote but has never been put on the starting page (http://radiouahid.fm). What is causing this problem?

The problem is, is not inclue the update file functions.php in folder update 8.0 to 8.1, only in complete theme folder.
