It seems the message appears along with the block “text with title”. The thing is I just need the custom title and it was working great before I updated the theme… this message wasn’t showing before that. I understand the solution is to add a text but I don’t need a text right after the title, so I really need to remove this message ():)

You probably found an older solution in the newsmag forum that is no longer working properly in the current version. Code gets changed and custom solutions provided here on the forum could not work for extended periods of time as code gets updated.
Every piece of code you modify in the theme will be rewritten when updating. There is no update proof way of altering the theme code. Not even a child theme is update proof:

Modules are not supposed to display other elements besides the default ones, so this may not work properly.
Blocks and modules can be customized through a child theme, so you do not loose the modifications when the theme is updated

They should work together in some degree, but in some cases there could be problems just by having both of them activated. Worth mentioning that you should not edit pages created with one composer, with the other one

If you could provide some screenshots of the problem you are having, it would be very helpful. Try using only one of the editors at a time and see if the problem is still occurring. Deactivate the other one.
Please note that in future updates more elements and options will be added to the tagDiv composer exclusively.

Please notice that if you were updated your theme to the latest version of it, the Visual Composer was replaced with our page builder which is TD Composer and most likely, that’s why you bring some shortcodes or HTML code through you homepage because the TD Composer does not recognize all the shortcodes of Visual Composer. Also, our builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder.

You will have to update the theme and the social counter as you are using an older version that will not work anymore in the new facebook code. Facebook changes it;s code regularly and any at all facebook related feature must be adapted to the new code. You will not be able to use an older version of the social countere. It is strongly not recommended to update the Visual composer plugin directly from the author (option available for a purchased plugin).

When an update is available for Visual composer, we will first test it and and then officially include it in the theme package. This will ensure full compatibility between Visual composer and the theme.
What you could try is to install the previous version that you had installed before updating (and try updating the page with problems). Installing the version that worked before could fix the issue.

I’d love to be able to use Big Grid 2 layout for the featured posts but there seems to be an issue with the mobile layout. it shows 3 posts with the last being cut in half? Is there anyway in the theme to update so the mobile version just shows 1 post? Or to be able to use a different Grid layout just for mobile?

I update theme to NEWSMAG4 when i disable VC Text with title show only clean text – source of shortcodes. When I VC on everything is ok. When i try to edit Text with title in DT composer i havent got save button.
I could not update anything in theme panel because save setting did not work.
It kept loading forever.

They created a admin-ajax block rule and this is what they said:
“The real issue is that they bypass our server caching. This means that every single visitor to the site sends a request back to the server that bypasses our server cache. The ability of the site to be as fast as possible and handle a huge load of traffic relies on using the server cache as much as possible and this ajax call dramatically reduces the ability of the server cache to deflect the load off of PHP and the database.”
I’ve asked them to remove the block because I need page views to motivate my writers.

Currently Max Mega Menu plugin is deactivate but you can see on site(http://php54.indianic.com/thermalprocessing/) that there is print HTML code issue in theme mega menu on hover of “DEPARTMENTS”. Let me update theme and check it again?

Yes, I am aware of that but it needs little extra customization for it to work on the Newspaper theme.

And sadly any TagDiv members didn’t appear to help with this.

Hello, I own http://scumbagged.com and am curious as to how I can change all of the block titles. I don’t know where to go to do that. Some of my block titles say “Fashion Week” and “Gadget World” – clearly I need those to reflect my appropriate sections.
Regarding the mobile menu, I would like to be able to add additional links just for the mobile viewers. How can I do a separate mobile menu than a desktop menu?

I use AdRotate Pro and it’s very easy – as Chris S said – in my case I use the Adrotate shortcode directly in the spots chosen via Theme Panel
And for sidebar use the widgets from AdRotate and drag them onto it – as many as you like – see westbridgfordwire.com and let me know if you have any questions
Header, leaderboard, and post inline are all used, some with ‘Groups’ that rotate – again the plugin provides a shortcode for the group – it has never failed me on any Newspaper version – provided you update it properly (the plugin) when he sends one out
Shortly I’m removing sidebar ads on homepage though – there is also one tagdiv widget I think for one sidebar ad. For if you don’t need multiple…

Reinstall theme:
Go to “your site/wp-content/themes” folder location and backup your Newspaper theme folder by saving it to your computer, or you can choose to simply delete it.

There are dozens of threads here asking for the same feature request and there must be a thousand others who want it but didn’t start a thread or comment.
I understand that adding a fully working feature needs an update but with these clues, the TagDiv team should at least attempt to help us at least in a temporary way.

thats because you have updated to Visual Composer 5.2. Delete this plugin version and charge the older one, in my website is working the 5.0 and till the developers doesnt fix this problem i will dont update the plugin.

The only major modification in the latest theme update is the introduction of the tagDiv composer. This plugin is activated by default the moment you update the theme, and it can in some cases affect Visual composer elements

I could not say where the widget you mention is coming from, while not being in the widgets section, without inspecting it maybe.
Also the other problems would require inspection in order to see why it is happening.
It could be other plugins, custom code added in theme panel or in the theme files, a child theme or other customization and factors.
A backup is always recommended before updating themes
