Just updated to 3.4 and was reading about TD Composer but can’t find it? its not in the download plugins directory so how to get it/install it?
Hi, every time I create a page, with a right side bar, the page goes full width, and UNLESS I made a <div class=”td-container”> the whole page would not go normal like I had them before my update.

Hello, I just want to give you an update. I tried to activate the wordpress default them and the site didnt start working again, so the issue was not the theme. I started deactivating my plugins one by one and I find that the plugin that is causing issues is AR FORMS. Really strange issue since it was not updated from last january… so thanks and sorry for your time
Version 8 is a new version, not an update, so this is always possible with any major update to anything, whether it’s WP, WooCommerce, or themes. You don’t have to update theme if you don’t want to; it’s not mandatory.
The new theme has option of continuing use of Visual Composer page builder for custom home page or pages; or use new light-weight version the TD Composer. If using the TDC, yes, you will need to test and adjust any page using VC, as some modules are carried over but not all – so you would need to change the pages which have any VC element which TDC does not have.
Options
a) don’t upgrade if you have no compelling reason to do so
b) upgrade and use Visual Composer vs TDC — but yes, any custom code added to any core files always has to be moved to new version as new page templates over-ride old ones; this is common with any customization done to any theme
c) setup test area, with clone of site (such as sub-domain, or folder on existing site); switch to TDC, then adjust pages which have broken elements to alternative option from the TDC builder; then once done – copy the clone dbase into the original dbase and replace old theme with the dev theme. Anybody who knows what they are doing as webdev would know how to do all of that.

It does not matter whether you sound harsh or not, it always display our level of understanding and tolerance. The main issue now is that the theme does not allow us to select slider revolution. There seem to be myriad of complications with the new updated version of the theme and thousands of people seem to be facing the same gruesome challenges.
I was able to make the theme work even though slider revolution is still unable to work for me and several people.
For those experiencing the same problem, after clearing your cache, for your browser, your CDN, and your website and any other cache that you can clear, you need to disable all the plugins except TagDiv Composer only.
But be careful because this will only work if your site is secure. Having a secure site would mean these two things, having an SSL installed on it and making sure the green key shows on the browser.
If you have an SSL on it but the green key is not showing, it won’t work. In that case you will need to install the plugin “Really Simple SSL” to make it secure. In most cases it will work.
Once, you have installed that plugin, disable all other plugins, except TagDiv plugin and Really Simple SSL plugin.
Do not try to edit your current home page using TagDiv. Leave your current home page and create another home page. This will work and you will just move and drop elements.
But there are still other problems. You may not see all the elements. You will need to search others that you cannot see by entering for instance slider, big slide, block 20, etc, on the left side where you pick the blocks.
Having done all that, it will work but the slider revolution may, sadly and regrettably, not work, as it is in my case.
Hello, after the last update my site is not loading. Just going on my site home page ( http://www.ilcrudoeilcotto.it ) shows a blank page. Examining html source gives a completely empty html file.
Please note that if I’m logged in the admin panel and I visit the url above, the site loads perfectly.
Plese help, this gave me a huge loss of money since I have an ads campaign running on facebook for 300 euros and is useless since people can’t go on my site tu buy the services I’m promoting.. this is really disappointg….

Just updated the theme to ver. 8, same issue, Adsense ads not showing up, when used on Article top ad. Ads working when placed in another place.

I have been a member of your themes for over a year. I updated the theme to version 8 and now it ask us to input activation code. We did just that then it ask for credentials. I input our credentials from your forum here and it says account already registered.
Why is it our theme not able to register with our previous activation code? why should we create a new account ?

I have a “visual” problem with my “home” page after updating to newspaper version 8.
The home page now looks like this:
The row strecht option in visual composer is set to “strech row”
Before the update the blue row was full width, but the headline and the video were the same position like the rest of the page. I haven’t changed anything, just updated the theme.
I tried to change the row stretch to “strech row and content” and then it looks like this:
How can I get that the blue section is full width like in the second picture, but the content the same position as the rest of the page. (as I tried to highlite in red).
I tried to play with custom css and with the margins but I wasn’t a really nice solution, because it wasn’t responsive. Would be nice if someone could suggest a solution to my problem.
I have already updated to 8, but when I add an element it gets “loading”
What I do
It is so sad that I have tried all these things but this does not seem to work for thousands of people. The update is nice but if thousands of people all over the world cannot implement it, it looks a bit like a small failure. I disabled the plugins, purged cache from CDN and the entire wordpress site, disabled plugin one by one. But when I try to drop elements to the incryption area, it takes years to drop them. Also, I cannot even see the entire elements. I am using a Window 10 and doing all these things on Chrome. This does not seem to work for thousands of us.

Prior to the update, the background when selected or hovered over wasn’t changing at all. Instead the font was changing to that pink colour (#b14671).

No, there is no issue with the update. It works properly and has been thoroughly tested. It is your install that has problems, not the theme. Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

No I am not using Yoast SEO. I am using All In One SEO. When I try to move any element, it takes years pretending to be loading but nothing happens. There seems to be a fundamental problem with the updated version of the theme.

At the moment there are no chart elements in the new tagDiv composer. More elements will be added in future updates however, specially for this composer, but for the moment those are only available in Visual composer.

@travisnw if you want to continue using visual composer you can do it exactly as before. We will still be releasing updates for the plugin. We will not be adding new block elements to it though but you can use it exactly as before.
You should not use visual composer shortcodes in the tdc builder. Thyeh ave different implementations and the best way to go about it is simply to recreate the page, not copy it from one builder to another. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
As for our future plans, yes we plan to further improve our own builder rather then adding content to an an external builder.
VC will still be available for people who still want to use it. We will not delete it anytime soon but we always recommend our own builder.

Please keep in mind that you should not lose any data of your website by an update. This will happens due only if you have edited the demo content. Do you edit the content for this 11 posts? If it were created from 0 they were not lost now.

The row does have the option to stretch and it is working properly using the tagDiv composer. If you do not want to use this editor, deactivate it and keep using Visual composer. At the moment some of the elements that are available in Visual composer are not present in tagDiv composer. More elements and features will be added in future theme updates for this editor.
If you want to use tagDiv composer you need to create new pages, do not edit pages created in Visual composer.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you have some errors in your console, it is not using the latest theme version and also, you are using some untested plugins, like cm ad changer, which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. You should disable all of them, leave just required plugins to be active, clear all the caches and check the results. If you want to bring best theme results, I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP and update your theme to the latest theme version.

The theme can be downloaded only if you have the themeforest account. I believe the agency through which you bought the theme should provide you with the theme updates, when they are available. Maybe you should contact them and ask what you should do in this situation, they must have a procedure for theme updates.
