Hi, I still have the problem – do I only need to update the theme or should I do something else too ?
Thank you
Hi Simion,
Where do I get this latest update from?
Because when I download the theme from ThemeForest again inside I get the plugin in the ZIP and it says this zip was created on 20th March, so it’s still an old version.
Thanks
Hi,
I forgot to mention that you could check if plugins are causing this issue. Unfortunately not all plugins are compatible with the theme, but that is the case with all the themes. You could try other plugins that have the options you are looking for, maybe you will find one that is working properly for you.
Maybe in future updates there could be changes made to this section, but I could not say for sure when this will happen.
Thanks
Hi,
1. The author can be disabled for the post page, in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/eDjxV4ZvfV
But there is no option to remove the link to the author page, except making modifications in the theme.
2. There is no option with the purposes you mention for the author box, at the moment. You can only disable it if you do not need it. Maybe additional settings will be added in future updates regarding your suggestion.
3. You could try the suggestions mentioned in this topic, to achieve that result
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-make-this/
Please note that the theme is in a continuous improvement, and the goal is to add as many features as possible, but this can only be possible in time. Some options are implemented as soon as possible, and others are postponed, and the list of suggestions is forever increasing.
Thanks

Hello,
Without the access token, it will not work. It is required for the plugin to connect to FB. If you cannot generate the access token it means you did not update the plugin. Please delete it and install this one: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/td-social-counter.zip Then try to generate the access token again
Thank you!
Hello modaestrat,
For more information about how the type of files can be overwritten with the child theme, please consult our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ and please notice that not any file can be overwritten by the child theme, sorry! Each theme update will overwrite all the theme code and if you have some customization through these, all of these will be lost.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please download the latest theme package again. There is another update from a later date that, fixes the Facebook issue – https://www.screencast.com/t/y7cpoma5XtLV
Update the theme and the bundled plugins to the latest version by removing them and installing the newer versions, then configure the social counter. Also clear any caching installed. If if does not work properly maybe there are other plugins that could interfere with it. Please try and disable all of them as a test, except Visual composer and the social counter, and check if the counter refreshes.
Thanks
1) There should be author link disable option.(Below the post title).
2) In the “SHOW AUTHOR BOX” there should be an option to disable author link(Image + Name link) too. This page will be looked like this: website.com/author/admin . But, If we think about SEO purpose then this page haven’t any value. (So, there should be an option to disable author image + name linking).
3) This is the big issue and I guess all SEO guys/bloggers will appreciate this. You should add “Last Updated” option there. It will replace the original posting date to “Last Updated” date. This will tell google that post update recently and which may create positive impact on google ranking. Or when google searcher will see recent post update date they will visit more that post.
You can check above 3 example here: 10beasts.com/best-wireless-routers/
I hope, newspaper team will think about those simple update.
Hi Bogdan,
As mentioned in my comment above, http://www.virtualmagie.com and http://www.jornhaugland.no both have NewsPaper theme and the results of both the sites are displayed in Breadcrumb format in Google search. If their result can be displayed in breadcrumb format without any theme updates, so can mine. There has to be some solution.
Thanks,
Gaurav
Can I disable this using a child theme?
Will the fix you link to break after update?
I imagine after theme/plugin update, this workaround will no longer work or will have to be done again.
Hi there :
I wondered if you plan to update Newspaper for PHP7 ?
I’ve tried to upgrade my php version but it’s broken the site hiding
post content on all posts.
Is there any plan to upgrade ?
thanks
Hi,
I’m having an issue with the buttons on my header-banner using Slider revolution.
I ‘m not sure if the problem is the theme update, but the Slider Revolution Buttons (with Action=onclick simple link) don’t work now
I have the test environment here (where it doesn’t work no more):
http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldelux/
(theme version 7.8.1 – slider revolution version 5.4.1)
And a copy before updating for paralel testing (working OK):
http://zeesl.com/demo/royaldelux-test2
(theme version 7.7.1 – slider revolution version 5.4.1)
Any ideas?
Tried to export slider from 2nd website & import it on 1st website, but no luck.
Please help.
This would be an amazing feature to have!
To be able to build a new category template using the visual composer.
If it came out in a future update that would be amazing. 🙂
Thank you for your suggestion. I will add a +1 to this request on our list for future updates.
Thank you!
I added a new post on Sunday, made it a feature, added a view blocks to show some new categories and a new menu item and when viewing it on my computer on both firefox and chrome I don’t see the changes / additions that I made. I checked the website on my phone and everything is there. I thought it was my cache so I have it cleared on both browsers, cleared my cache with the website and I still can’t see the updates I made on a computer view but can see them mobile.
Did I possibly make a mobile change? If so how do I change that?
Thanks –
SB
Hello hanakousuke,
Please keep in mind that our theme can be updated in three ways, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks for the message!
Hello WillRobins,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an old theme version. Try to update it and check then the results. It should be working as expected. If is not what you mean, provide more details and if you want to provide some useful screenshots with your problem, you should use the Jing tool or simply attach your image here, through pressing the button. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/J5dMSjdD3lBM
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please update also the Social Counter plugin. Just deactivate and delete current version and then install the version provided with the theme, you can find it in /plugins folder – https://www.screencast.com/t/1Tkm9zjpA4d1
Then clear your browser cache, if you use Chrome clear especially cached images and files – https://www.screencast.com/t/ihqFh87Sex
Then try to generate the token key again.
If you still have issues with it please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access so we can take a closer look. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks!
Hello radis92,
In the past, we had a problem with demo content but now it was solved. You should update the theme and then, try to import only the demo without content, clear all your caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Another update.
I have worked out the footer issues myself.
I am still stuck with the Latest Post widget at the top of the side bar.
It appears on all pages except the home page.
I can’t find the widget anywhere enable or disabled on the widget page.
Thanks
Steve
Hi,
I have inspected your website but I do not see this problem at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5yNc6CuDU
If it is an intermittent problem, and you are using WP Super Cache you can try the solution provided in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-issues-5/
Hopefully this will be fixed in future updates for the caching plugin.
Thanks
Hello,
Unfortunately this is a known issue and will be fixed in the next update. For the moment, please use this topic for a fix: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/woocommerce-default-pages-problem/
Thank you!
Hello,
Maybe it was a leftover folder from your previous theme. That is not part of our theme so please delete the whole theme folder and install the theme again as you would do an update via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
This process shoyuld not affect your content but just to be safe please make a back-up beforehand though
Thank you!
Hi,
The social counter issue with the token not being generated was fixed. Please download the latest theme package and update the plugins provided accordingly. Then try and configure the social counter again, using this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Before you begin, it is very important that you clear your browser cache. Example for chrome –
– https://www.screencast.com/t/f9Q66lPx1fY
After successfully setting up the social counter, clear any caching installed if you are using it. Please note that there could also be some delay for the data to refresh.
Thanks
