Somehow the default font changed after the update to 7.7.

In the settings I can only choose to use the default font. I can not find an option to determine which font is the default font.

Most good hosts allow you to run BOTH 7.0x and 7.1x during the transitional period of phasing out 5.6 this year for most folk. Ideally you should run 7.0x for now until ALL the plugins and whatnot across the WP universe have been updated; 7.1 is still somewhat bleeding edge for most stuff.
To maintain compatibility with *all* WP stuff, best to stick with 7.0x for now, unless you have no other choice; however with 7.1x you *will* end up having to manually fix some php stuff in WP universe to work with it.
WP will soon “require” PHP 7x to work, and at that point “everybody” who is still active in WP dev should be running 7x and 7.1x.
Just a thought, anyway.

Hello, I’m updating Newspaper for the first time since installing it a couple of weeks ago. Had version 7.6.1 and updating to 7.7.

I’m inside the Envato Market plugin, and clicked Update.
It’s been about 30 minutes now, and it still says it’s “Updating” with the Update wheel still spinning. Is it normal for it to take this long?
The website still works, and when I click on Newspaper in the left menu in a new tab it still says version 7.6.1 is installed…
I don’t want to click out of the updating window if it’s actually updating. Internet connection is fine.
Any advice?

After upgrading to version 7.7, the header and fonts have changed. Before I used the header 7 and set menus and everything was displayed correctly, after updating, the menu is shown in two lines and it looks as if the logo had moved to the center. I had to use another header to display the web correctly.
As for the fonts, I used Open Sans Condensed, but it was not displayed … however the Open Sans version is shown. The same happens with other fonts configured in the rest of the page.
Do you know what it can be?

Well the code is coming from somewhere external. The theme css comes from either style.css or demo.style.css. If a code shows the source of “index” that means it comes from your site somewhere wheter it;s a plugin or custom code. This code that breaks the css for the related articles block come from index: https://www.screencast.com/t/oYdnGgTOeOmG so it;s not the theme or the theme update. it;s another source coming from your site.

Thanks for the help, I tried the code but with no success, cleared all browser caches to make sure it was updated correctly.
We are using Hybrid Menu 2 and we are not using the mobile theme.
Anything else that i may be doing wrong or can try?

Please try to update your theme because you are using an old version of mobile and theme. First of all, you should make a full backup to your database to be safe. The theme update should have to be made via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. Please keep in mind that you never need to buy the Vc with our theme because this plugin comes bundled with the theme packet. Notice that the plugin which is included in theme packet is the best version of Visual Composer which you have to use…it is a built in with the theme. Please try to use only the plugins which are included in theme packet and check the results. @Roland Wenzlofsky If one channel or user works and the other does not, then there is some setting somewhere on the channel itself that is preventing the counter from grabbing the info. In most cases it;s the hide subscriber count that creates the problem. You need to show the subscriber count in order for the plugin to pull the info. If no subs are shown in the social network then no subs will be shown in the plugin .
@Marc_Ravaris it’s not the same problem. First , it;s not the same nework and second yours already displays 1 so it means the connection has been made but you probably have a very strong cache that does not let the plugin grab the updated info. Please clear all caching and contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache.

Please keep in mind that for each theme update you should make a full backup of your database to be safe. Notice that in each upgrade the theme change some files and that’s why you have lost this customization, sorry! Be more carefully in this regard, and you will have to make it again.

CSS works in cascades so when there are more then 1 rewrite of the same color, you will be able to see each change happen especial if your connection is slow. If you load a theme demo that changes the colors that is one rewire and if you change the colors again that would be the second one and already you will be able to see the changes happen on page loading. That is the way css works and there is little to be done about it unfortunately. You can make the changes directly in style.css but you will have to re-add them on each update.

We have a design to make the template match to, which can be as basic and re-arranging layouts/blocks/etc., but we don’t mind to pay to the people who have written the template rather than a 3rd party. The main goal is to be able to maintain the template for future updates/fixes/improvements while making these customizations.
