Hi,
@finanspara I have just provided an answer above regarding the theme update and the Visual Composer which comes bundled with it.
@pierofeltrinelli Please provide more details about your theme and Visual Composer version that you have on your site via email at contact@tagdiv.com and if they are updated to the latest versions (Newsmag 3.2 and Visual Composer 4.12.1) please provide wp-admin access and we will take a closer look.
Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you and specify the issue.
Thanks!
on my website, Visual Composer is still not loading.
already tried the update procedure many times and nothing happens, it keeps loading and never show the interface
Hello MrOrsh,
Unfortunately, we have a mini bug in theme regarding on the Ad Title. It does not apply the ad title, sorry! I have added this issue to our list of improvements and we will consider to fix it in near future updates.
Thanks for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
Hello marketvex,
This error seems to be caused by your unproperly installing. Please try to make a new clean install from scratch, without any untested plugins which can interact with the theme core and cause a lot of unknown issues and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer which come bundled with the theme and which is VC 4.12.1. Please try to follow my advice and update/re-install the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this way, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi Bogdan, I have resend the email as per your request. Subject title is ‘Update To Latest V 7.5’ as per this thread. Tks.
Hello,
The plugin provides a message that a new version is available, yes, but it does not mean you HAVE to update. Please ignore the message as the latest version is not yet provided in the theme package. Please only use the version of visual composer we provide along with the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
You get new version of the plugin when it’s been tested compatible with both WordPress and t heme, and then when the next version of theme is updated.
To get notified, just check the box on your theme downloads page on ThemeForest.
Just because a new version is out doesn’t mean you have to install it “right now.” First versions of new stuff can often have bugs that break your site or even have exploits — it has happened before. So no need to “rush” to get a new version just because it’s there.
Always good to check the support forums for the plugin for known issues when new version comes out.
When and how will we be notified that Visual Composer has been updated? We need to update and the only way is provided by the theme developer which is you guys. Will we be notified when it is available?
buna seara
thanks for that – i do use WP super cache as recomended somewhere in the installation guide. for my understanding, what is the link between the cache management and the file update ? how come the cash is not refreshed anytime there is a new update of the site ?
I understand I have to contact my host but can i get the default cache soft modified or upgraded ?
thanks
multumesc
Hi,
After updating version 7.5, all my subpages build with VC Template (My templates) suddenly are full width, not showing the sidebar. I think around 50 pages.
When editing the pages, they are still set with a sidebar and chosen.
Even if I try to create a new page using template, the theme dont care about my opinion and just go full Width.
This only seems to be a problem, when “My templates” has been used, and do not effect all other pages. SOme sidebars however have small spacing issues.
I use child, can NOT see any bugs or any plugins that needs update.
Is this a known bug, and is there a solution…-)
Thank You
When will plugin update
Hi,
@cloin1 The answer is the same like Adrei stated above. In the next theme release will include the latest version on the plugin available on market.
We provide updates on a regular basis, the plugins provided are tested for theme compatibility and we also add new features, fix issues in each theme release so I cannot provide you date when we will ready.
Thanks!
There is a new update for WPB VC – when will this updated by you as the theme still shows Oct 6th
Hi, thank you.
I fix the translation, this is what I get now (it’s without template anyway):

How can I get the link as clickable link and not like a written code text?
Then I’ll wait for the update 🙂
Many thanks
best regards
Cristina
Hello Catalin

Our WPBakery Visual Composer plugins problem, i see the plugins need to update. i have many times install and reinstall, but same result.
As You Know, I have install the Newspaper theme V 7.5. and plugins that come bundled with the theme.
Pls Give me some help, Sir
thanks you for your kind attention
Hi,
Most probably the theme was not installed/updated properly and the specific file was missing. I’m glad you have managed to solve this.
If you have any other issues related to the theme, don’t hesitate and create a new topic. We will gladly provide assistance and also I’m sorry for the delay of answering but we had some issues with our forum and it was offline.
Thanks!
Hi,
Yes, all the theme’s files are overwritten by the update. You could try to use the child theme as the module’s files are supported by child theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thanks!
Hi,
If you use Speed Booster version 4.5 it should work properly – http://screencast.com/t/BKmPPwvTk We will update also the plugin’s description to say for Newspaper 7.xx and Newsmag 3.xx.
Thanks!
Hi,
All the code modifications will be removed when you update the theme and you need to re-add theme. You could use the child theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thanks!
Hi there, I have send an email to contact@tagdiv.com since last week, have you guys go in & checked? Any update yet? Tks.
hello Catalin,
the server requirements are higher than required.
I updated the theme from 7.4 to 7.5, and soon I’ll do a test again to see if it was a temporary problem
thank you
Try disabling your cache plugin.
Also make sure you updated WP memory limit in the wp-config.php file.
Depending on server setup, make sure you set php memory limit to 1G (some systems prefer 1G vs 1000M); frankly 768M is plenty.
Consider moving from Visual Composer to the TD Composer beta (we did on all our news portals running Newsmag 3x).
Disable “related posts” “more from author” and “flyout” bottom right stuff. Try to use just ONE post module image size type in sidebar, vs multiple. Try only having ONE advert in side bar.
Seriously, all this stuff helps!
Well… if the old content is not actually there, and your dbase is optimized, and the info shows up on a mobile device, perhaps problem with mobile device cache not cleared.
It’s technically impossible for a site to show defunct content if no longer in dbase as dynamic site, unless it’s been “cached” someplace, like opcache, mod_pagespeed, CDN, Varnish, cache plugin, etc.
Obviously if you load up an old version of site layout, with, say content in old categories, no longer updated, that old content would show up again.
Do you have same issue switching to a default theme, view on mobile device? Then, reactivate this theme, visit again on mobile device?
Have you done normal house keeping like
a) optimize dbase to clear transients, such as with wp-optimize
b) resave permalinks to clear temp WP redirect cache
c) checked your site via FTP to see if you still have a caching folder with cached files
d) checked your htaccess file to see if you have links to cached files or cache redirects leftover from caching system?
All that can possibly be culprit.
Thanks Catalin. If I update the “header style” will it still be there when I do a theme update? Or, will I lose any changes to the previous header style?
Update on tema when will give error
