You will have to update your theme as there was a problem with the mobile theme and the previous version of the theme. Please use this guide and re-download the theme and install it like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ The version will still be 7.3 as we did not change the version. We only replaced the faulty pack with the correct one.

Hello,
Unfortunately updates can cause certain plugins to not work anymore as code gets changed and sometimes plugins cannot recognize it. We adapt our theme code for the tested plugins but for untested ones such as the one you use, we cannot guarantee they will work properly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I’m afraid if Yoast is turning bloat of late. Post version 3, there have been pushing lots and lots of updates, majority of which are addressing bugs (goog that they are hyper-active). But I wish they test it thoroughly before launching an update.

Today I just received an updated version of WordPress 4.6. My question is if I update the last version of WordPress are all the Newspaper plugins will suit to the last version of WP?
Do I have to wait until there is the last version of Newspaper to match to WP?
Can I update the WP 4.6 without worrying about the matching?

Basically, have a “local” copy of your entire site on your hard drive; both as a backup and as a “working” copy to make edits to. Best NOT using child theme and use “main” theme to ensure ease of future updates; just keep track of any changes to theme files.
I often make a separate folder for copies of files I have changed.
Edit files in textpad 5 (free), BBEdit, notepad on PC, simpletext (DO NOT USE WORD PROCESSOR!).
Make edits, upload via FTP, then check site on web; if you mess up, just upload the working file back again. Keep both FTP and browser windows open, and pretty soon you’ll be a wiz! 🙂

I even tried reinstalling everything again: wordpress + Db + Newspaper + plugins
I was able to narrow the problem to a single plugin: All in one wp security & firewall
When I have this plugin active, some theme panel options are not shown, like in the image above.
Even with the plugin active but with no configuration (just the install), the error persists.
When I deactivate this plugin, everything works, no matter if I use http://www.site.com or just site.com
I already made a clean install of this plugin, but seems that it’s during the install process that it conflits with the theme panel. The obvious option would be to not use this plugin, but it’s kind of annoying because everything was working before the theme update and this plugin gives me important information that I wouldn’t like to not have.
Any ideas of what I can try next?

Please make sure you use the latest theme version 7.3 and the latest Visual Composer provided with the theme 4.12. I tried your suggestion and it really works! But, this idea becomes difficult when we want to update the block frequently. I wonder if it would not be better to give the possibility to create a sidebar in widgets for posts.
What do you think about that?

Try to update the theme at current version available on themeforest, V 7.3: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Also try to delete the current mobile theme plugin then install it again after you update the theme. During the update process try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer to make sure that there are no conflicts.

Hi,
The background color is grabbed from the theme accent color you set in the colors section of the theme panel. For a custom color you can use css as @Aronfly described.
Alternatively you can add the code in the theme panel custom css box to not have to edit style.css on every update.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the compatibility between woocommerce and revolution slider. These 2 plugins worked fine together for a long time, but it seems that latest updates made them incompatible. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about it as we will have to wait for future updates and see if the compatibility issue gets fixed. I’m sure that the plugin developers already know about the issue. You could try to check these steps for the blue letters: https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/white-screen-after-installing-the-theme/

We had similar requests before but we didn’t manged to add support for custom taxonomy yet. This is a very complex task which involve many customizations and block’s structure must be changed in order to complete it. We still investigate this and maybe in feature updates we will find a proper implementation.

You can use a child theme if you want as it will work from the child as well but you need to keep track of the modification as a child theme is not update proof. If the files get changed in a future update, you still have to make the modification again in the child theme.

I was using http://www.site.com with Newspaper theme version 6.7 and wordpress 4.4.2
I updated the wordpress to 4.5.3 and theme to 7.3

If I change the url to http://site.com (without the www), I can access everything in the theme panel, but I would prefer to use the www in the url.

This is solved.
If someone comes across this problem in the future, I’ll explain what I did:
Before updating to the new version I backed up the db. For some reason the update (or some option I missclicked) changed the url from “localhost” to “www.localhost”, which contaminated the whole db.
I had to export the entire data from the db to a txt file, replace “www.localhost” to “localhost”, delete and create a new db with the same name and import the whole data from the txt file.
All works now, every option in the Theme panel is visible.
Why I use localhost as url? This is an offline test server.

In WordPress Panel, choose “Pages” (on the left menu). Then edit the page that you use as “Initial Page”, by clicking on “Edit”.
Now you can click on “Backend Editor” and search for the missing block, or click on HTML tab and search for the unwanted code. Delete it and Save/Update the page.
