Hi
To add a new custom ad you have to edit the following files like here:
– td_panel_ads.php – http://screencast.com/t/csyUpkoa – http://pastebin.com/v9xwLdQz
– td_block_ad_box.php – http://screencast.com/t/mRzwOa0Q5
– td_config.php – http://screencast.com/t/m3REo5pm
Result should be like here: http://screencast.com/t/FxYioNcpNS
This was just an example for custom ad 6. To add more custom ads follow the same steps but make sure you update properly the ad-spot ids.
Thanks!
Hi @gerry
Checking your site I found some errors in browser console. This errors are directly related with theme’s blocks that’s why the site is not displayed fine: http://screencast.com/t/DIRsU1DWWUHu Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also during the update process deactivate all plugins then enable only Visual Composer and check the site again.
Theme’s code it’s tested and does not contains any malicious code so as @Chris suggested it may be a false positive. For more details about this please check this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/virus-detected-in-the-theme-2/ While you install the theme consider deactivating the Avast antivirus as this may affect some of the required files.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks?!
Hi
We removed that link as now the last version of social counter plugin, v3.1 it’s included in theme path available on themeforest, V2.3.5. You can download this version and update the theme and also the Visual Composer and Social Counter plugins at the versions included in that path. Here are the update guides:

Hi
The function which calculate the human time diff refers at WordPress time system. We did some tests and if the gmt time it’s changed the post published time remain the same. Seams WordPress does not update and compare the published time with the actual gmt set. It only compare the published post time with the initial
gmt set when the post was published. This is not an issue related with the theme and unfortunately I can’t provide a solution now as this require many customizations and unfortunately we cannot any custom work at the moment.
Thanks!
Hello,
You will need to update your theme to the latest version as this is a known issue caused by the new version of wordpress.
You can follow this guide to update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Hello,
In order to apply the code to all block you can use the code like this:
.td_block_wrap .td-image-gradient:before {
opacity: 0;
}
As for the images, our theme crops the images center-top. Unfortunately there is no option for the cropping of the thumbnails in the the panel. If you want to change this option, you will have to use the theme api: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_thumbupdate/ (for advanced users only)
Thanks.
Hi
Unfortunately to display the placeholder image inside post content will require a bit of custom work. Basically the implementation should be similar with the one used on modules bot obviously must be adapted at post content.
We would have gladly made it for you but we are a small team and we are working very hard on the development, updates, fixes and support and time does not allow us to provide any custom services at the moment. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/
Thanks!
Hello,
I’m not sure what you mean by time-consuming, as you only have to select the option in the menus section. I’m not sure how this option could be any easier to implement: https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
Unfortunately at the moment have no plans to update the mega-menu and we have no suggestion of any plugins as we have not tested any.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately this fix did not make it in this update as it was only a dot revision for immediate problems that needed attention. We will add this fix in a future version but we cannot promise it will be the next immediate update. The developer team will make the final decision. Until such time, please use the solution provided by Emil.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
9gag-greece no longer has this issue. After you add the code in htaccess, please make sure you clear cache as it will be affected by it and also reset the cdn files. (they update automatically after a period of time but in order to see the immediate effect of your modification you need to reset/clear them)
Thank you.
Hello stuartmasson,
Thank you for your suggestion. I have added this to our list of the future update but unfortunately, we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because it is not a simple task and also, we have a big list of fixes, improvements and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers will decide if it gets done or not, though.
Thank you for the message!
Hello Paulinho Degaspari,
I have checked you website and saw that you have 6.5.1 version of Newspaper. The pagination issue was fixed in the latest update 6.6.5. This kind of problem was caused by the latest version of WordPress 4.4.1.(2) Please try to update to the latest version and also, before this, please do a full update.
Thank you for the message!
I cant update the theme since i have lot of customization in it ..
however this issue should not be there in the THEME itself .
irrespective of its versions ..!!
Avast is not the best anti-virus, and gets many false positives. You should simply disable it, or setup an ‘exception’ when editing your site in WP admin.
If something “suddenly” changes without your knowledge good to look at what might have changed with an automatic WP update, or a plugin mis-begaving.
Try disabling all plugins except Visual Composer, and YOAST, and clear all caching on your site if used *and* in your web browser.
Thanks mate…
2-3 days ago I purchased a dedicated IP for my site http://www.magzeo.com
I am not sure If my observation is relevant or not.
I feel that the browser’s which accessed a particular page of my site from the old IP of the site were unable to fetch the changes made on the site but the same browser was showing the updated result if the user accessed a new page on the browser or cleared their browsing history.
I have tested the site clearing all the browsing history and it seem like it worked.
Can this be a possible reason of the cause?
Thanks!

Quick question here:
I have updated the php.ini in my public_html folder as below, but the system status still shows max_input_vars = 1000 and max_execution_time = 30. Does this mean that the settings is not applying properly?
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M
I have same problem too. You should fix this issue with next updates. 🙂
I just wanted to send a quick thanks to the TagDiv team for the most recent update to Newspaper. As you said, it really sped the site up. Very pleased! Thank you.
I have updated my theme to the latest version and there is a white border to the left and the top of the website.
Can you have a look at what has caused this?
How to fix?

Hello,
Have you made any progress with this issue? I have 2 very unhappy clients who are weekly asking for an update on the problem.
Thank you
JC
or will in the foreseeable future update mega menu. In order to more easily worked with him. Now it is quite time consuming.
If you do not have to plan for this updates. which plugin for megamenu you recommend.
Thx guys
AMP is simple plugin, and was updated this week. Google will start supporting it on the 24th.
However, it only works with supported platforms … so, still best to optimize the theme’s mobile setup on your site, as you’re trying to do.
AMP is just another “option” to consider at some point as Google will start to “show” that version if enabled on compatible devices over the theme version, if AMP is setup.

Hello,
Months ago, I started this topics about a problem. You told me that you had added this issue in your to do list and would fix this issue in coming updates. Yesterday, I have updated theme to the last version, however the problem still exists.
There are no alt tags for theme images in “Newspaper/images/no-thumb/td_100x70.png” and “Newspaper/images/no-thumb/td_100x70.png” folders.
Please, fix this issue any more as soon as possible.
Hi
Try to update the theme at the latest version available on themeforet, V2.3.5, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches caches, purge cdn files if you’re using and test again.
Let us know hoe it goes.
Thanks!
