Hi guys,
I just updated to the latest version – and now my background image disappeared.
I tried changing the background image, saving again, etc – but nothing works.
It stays in boxed mode but with white background.
What’s the fix?
Thanks!
Hi Bogdan,
I’ve updated thems to version 6.6.1 . However thumbnail still not working properly after I activate the photon. How to fix this problem?
Thanks
Hi Alin / Chris,
I just noticed that after the update to 6.6, the 404s for http://website.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/vc_lte_ie9.min.css are back in a big way. My 404 log is full of 404s for this ie9 css file since the 6.6 update. Any recommendation on how to eliminate this?
Thanks
When I edit the Includes > td_config.php file, the changes don’t seem to actually take effect. It was working fine before the 6.6 update, any idea why? Am I doing something wrong?
Spencer
backup your current theme folder, maybe just change a name, then upload all newly updated files up like installing a new theme, if anything goes wrong, simply change folder name back from your backup, then you could debug more
Update Doc is pretty clear . Its just that it must be clear on whats the updated version about for one to choose to update or not ,
I guess they REALLY should add that info to the “how to update theme” docs here ! 🙂
TY Bogdan B. and the TagDiv Team.
The New Update works 🙂 🙂 🙂
As you know “all of a sudden” implies:
a) theme or plugin update
b) server core system update
c) change with CDN / caching system
Likely helpful to know what happened.
Often resetting the expiration time for elements at CDN can help; double checking no bizarro thing changed in a theme that might impact the plugin, etc.
Also, funnily enough, sometimes in my case clearing the transients using wp-optimize helps, as does simply going to my home page and doing a “save” of my existing layout to fix something changed from an update.
Obviously if you did a THEME update, something might have changed with the theme itself and require modifications, especially if a child theme is no longer in sync with parent, etc.
Not sure any of that helped … I’m stuck here doing some admin today, where I can’t leave, but have a window open to pop in here and share some of my shaky wisdom, snarky comments, and general holiday eggnog overdosed commentary. 🙂

Hi ,
I had updated the theme on 29th Nov for 6.6 .Got another e-mail today for Update is there anything new ?
thank you this worked for me as well
would be great to have an option in admin to allow html in copyright section / footer but I have setup child theme so good for updates for now
I have also added in the year so that it updates on it’s own
echo ‘© ‘, date(“Y”), ‘ ‘;
Space at the end added… it works but not even sure if I have done it correct lol

I’ve tried to update directly using the FTP. I still get this error:
wp booster error:
Please update your [tagDiv social counter] Plugin!
My media library still wont show anything. Not sure what to do from here.
I think the Facebook count now requires a FB API key from FB. YOu may need to update the social plugin to latest version as part of theme download.
@debarup
simply dsiable the breadcrumbs feature in the theme to remove the breadcrumbs. Even if you remove the structured markup in the theme code, they will still be used by Google in SERPS in many cases as they have already built a breadcrumb element for your site. Some of our sites with breadcrumbs, but no “markup’ still show/showed up in SERPS with breadcrumbs, even without any modern markup.
Point being — only way to force Google to try not using breadcrumbs, is not to have breadcrumbs on your site. Try it. Then update your sitemaps. Then revisit your SERPS in a week and see if they change.
Right…. there were no modified files. Self evident from the changelog.
if the changelog says nothing was updated in theme, no reason to list the changed files as there were none.
I suppose they could put note at top “No changed files” ….
I’m sure TagDiv will provide a canned answer for THAT suggestion 😉
Also to be fair, my semi-sarcasm was directed at the trolling comment “It would be nice if there were patch notes on each release.” which would have been more useful as “where can I find the changelog?” …
But point taken. I guess I should not bother to post answers to stuff like this, really.
Still, hopefully somebody reading this will now know where to find the changelogs.
Admin, would be useful to make note in the documentation on theme updates, on “where to find the changelog” — like here … https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
This phrase “Always check our update notes” is not specific enough for most folks here, apparently.
As I said, its not specific enough.
The documentation has two parts, the update log and the changed files. If there are no files changed in the theme, that information should be visible; not everyone has ages of experience updating this theme so this kind of help file is more handy for them than your sarcasm or the “look for stuff” answer.
If some says “I can’t find the usual List of Modified files for the update 6.6.1 that just went live…” it’s because he already looked for the file and wasnt sure about the changes.
Friends,
I bought 3 Newspaper theme units to install on my clients. Excellent theme, congratulations.
Regarding Support remaining. I did not understand yet. I ask:
1) For these three unit already bought, how long can I download the new updates ?. What will be the final date for me to download?
2) After that date, how do I get new updates, with you?
3) After the end date will be able to access this forum for help? I have to pay?
I await contact.
Thank you.
Mauricio / Brazil.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
We just finished updating to 6.6.1 and all went like charm, except for one Thing: Our logo has gone missing.
we re-uploaded it to the theme panel: no avail.
Checking the source there seems to be something odd:
<div class="td-header-sp-logo">

<meta itemprop="name" content="Polyprisma">
</div>
from the style.css:
.td-header-style-8 .td-header-menu-wrap-full .td-header-sp-logo {
display: none;
}
Retina? display: none? huh? Shouldn’t the theme inherit the “normal” logo aswell?
Both versions have been uploaded to the Theme-Panel:
http://abload.de/img/themepanel10nsf8.jpg
When we scroll down, the titlebar and menu scroll off screen, as desired. weh scrolling a little up again, the smaller version of the logo is correctly displayed next to the menu.
Site: http://polyprisma.de/
Any ideas?
I don’t download the them file… I update it directly on WP…
And as you can see… it doesnt show the modified files… I have to know which files have been changed..

Over looked the update_log.txt, the web sarcasm was not appreciated. Thank you though.
and, oh my gosh … it’s still there!
I guess the file names “update_log.txt” and “changed_files_6.5_6.6.1.html” are not specific enough?

[ Version 6.6.1 ]
– new social counter version. Facebook requiers now an API key, read more here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
[ Version 6.6 ]
– new: Custom code panel. We realized that all the custom css, html and javascript should be in one panel. We also added a custom HTML code section. All the input areas from this panel have autocomplete (ctrl+space) and error checking.
– new: whatsapp share for article on mobile devices
– new: added http channel test status in the system status panel. You can now check if the theme is able to get the tweet count, like count etc from your host.
– new: filter posts by ID in blocks. You can add/exclude specific posts on all the blocks now.
– new: the theme now has it’s own logging system. We can now debug hosting issues easier.
– new: a new self diagnosting and self configurating module that allows our theme to pull data from other sites more reliably.
– fix: smart list 7 and 8 – sometimes the content was doubled
– fix: g+ new icon
– improvement: video playlist is now more reliable and all the code is loaded only when needed via autoload. The youtube videos information is now collected using just one API call instead of multiple API calls for each videos.
– improvement: speedbooster 4.2 now supports woocommerce better and moves the style.css to the bottom
– improvement: the theme panel works better now when adblock is used
– improvement: all the ajax functionality of the theme is now loaded only when needed
– improvement: better security checks on all the ajax requests
– improvement: html is allowed now in the copyright section of the footer
– improvement: social counter button is clickable on the entire area
– improvement: almost all the javascript code now passes jshint. We still have about 15-20% of the code to refactor to the new standards but with time we will get there.
– improvement: the theme’s data source class can now be overwritten from the child theme
– improvement: all the widgets from the theme are now optimized to work better. The widget_builder class is now deprecated and all the functionality was moved to td_block_widget
– improvement: the video playlist now downloads the videos metadata on render, not on save post. This allows us to use the playlist on the on click demos.
– improvement: the following modules of the theme are loaded on demand now: td_log, td_remote_http, td_remote_video, td_data_source, td_video_support, td_more_article_box, td_page_views, td_review, td_ajax. This means that the theme loads them only when needed. We mesured a 10% faster load time after this tweak.
– fix: theme animations where incompatible with some plugins and the visual composer gallery. The animations still worked but all of them looked a bit strange.
– fix: bug with the demo loader – the dinamic css for a specific demo was still loaded even after the demo was uninstall
– fix: header style 8 top submenu z-index fix
– fix: image aligment issue when using custom article paddings
– fix: the documentation url for demos was wrong in wp-admin
– fix: we updated the ads links to point to the right documentation
– fix: Social counter now shows the followers instead of +1 on google plus. Please update your social counter to see the improvement.
– fix: styling issues with the latest version of BuddyPress
– fix: on rare ocassions with some plugins the theme was emitting warnings in the server logs like: “Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string”
– fix: error that was showing up in logs when the theme panel was saved

Hi
Thanks again! I will try to find the plugin which causes the problem.
Regarding the updated tab version: I don’t see how I should update the tab element. I’ve checked all the settings pages. No update message is visible in the backend.
Best regards,
Hi
Please make sure that you’re using the updated version of Social Counter plugin, V 3.1. Also check our documentation for more details regarding the plugin’s usage: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ clear all caches and test again.
Thanks!
Ah, okay! So some of it has been updated. But also check this article, for example, which still says td_wp_booster_config at the moment: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_blockadd/
Thanks for the reply.
Hello,
Unfortunately your accordion element has different classes than the default one and uses a different css than style.css.
Please try it without plugins to avoid it getting the css from flick.css: http://screencast.com/t/kNjxugXb (not from the theme)
And another thing you can do is update your tab element because you use the depracetd version of accordion. There is a new element in the current visual composer and the deprecated ones will be eliminated from the next version.
The code i provided works with the new element which you should be using.
Also please add the code to the theme panel- custom css box not directly to the style.css because an update will rewrite this file and you will lose your customization.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
