Please check this also with the main theme and see if you still have this issue. If your page is displayed fine on mobile, please make sure that you update the child theme, as if the old version is used you may have some issues like this. I have checked your site and in page source appears 4.3 version of child theme, so please update it, you can find it in the /code folder from theme files that you download from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have such an option and we did not tested any related plugin with Newspaper theme, but you can try to find and use a plugin like WP Social Login I saw that many users are using this and we did not received any issue reports regarding this plugin. Also for comments you can search for a plugin like Facebook Comments.
We have on our list similar suggestions and we will consider this for future updates.

I want to update my theme from 4.6.3 to the latest version. After updating Newspaper directory via FTP I got white page and this in error.log:

Any idea why? Visual Composer was updatet also to latest version before updating theme.
update: even newsstorys who are in de queue are not posted on time.
Is there any update to this issue? WPTouch compatibility would be a really great thing or a trimmmed version of Newsmag for mobile users. For this I would pay too! Either way, please do something.

Help! I’ve just updated the site to version 6 and none of my images are appearing on the homage? I updated the thumbnails as suggested in another post and have done everything else I can find here, but still no images?!
Also, why has the line separating the footer from the main content disappeared?

I think they are delaying that update because of the WordPress v4.3 update to the theme. I am just guessing here. They probably did not want to do them together for some reason. A week or so could be little longer.

My comments seem to have disappeared after the last update. I don’t know what happened to them as they were there before, but are now no longer appearing on my posts. We’ve not yet launched the site yet, but have some comments for testing that I want to make sure are visible. The comment count is still displayed on the top of the post, but no comments are visible and you can’t add your own comments to a post any longer. Any idea what happened?
Also, is there a better or recommended commenting platform that we should be using? Have people had better luck with Facebook or Disqus or something else? Or should we use the out of the box commenting? Looking for any recommendations here, but mostly want to fix the error that is happening now first. Thanks! Joe

Updated everything but the homepage is still not aligning properly…

Firstable i love your theme and i think most beautiful theme on themeforest. But there is a big deficient. Theme hasn’t social media login and social media comment. Please on next update add this features. Thank you.

The theme doesn’t have an option to control that, and implementing that feature involve custom work because it’s need a js library to detect the screen resolution, and a set of condition which display the content depending by resolution.
Unfortunately we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to do it for you.

Initially we haven’t made any tests with older version of the themes and latest wp update however I have done some now and had no issues using just themes recommend plugins and Newsmag 1.7.1/Newsaper 4.6.3 on a clean database so it’s should work fine nevertheless you should still backup your current theme/db and wp install so you can revert if something goes wrong.

A workaround was provided 4 months ago in the Theme Forest comments (http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609/comments?page=217&filter=all#comment_9827881) regarding setting a specific post template for a certain category. Can you provide an updated version of this solution, please?

Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option to set the post template from a specific category, this can be done only manually for each article from that category. We have a similar suggestion on our list to set a general post template from category settings and the developers will consider this. I cannot promise you anything they will decide if this can be implemented in a future update. I’m not sure what you mean about the sidebars, if you set a custom sidebar for a category, all the posts from that category inherit the sidebar.

Also we did some tests using version 4(we created new database) of the theme and only the theme’s plugins active and worked with WordPress 4.3. If you want to update the wordpress version I suggest to make a full backup of your current installation(also wordpress), leave only theme’s plugins active and also wp-debug set on false – https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
