Nevermind. Found it in the Theme Settings under Post > Feature Image > Lightbox on/off.
I’m not sure, why, but I keep getting changes to the behavior and I’m not sure if it is me, updates, plugin conflicts or bugs.
Sorry for unnecessary posts.
Hi,
You can check the modified file in the update folder, a lot of files were modified and they are interconnected. I don’t think you can update only that section, sorry.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
Unfortunately we can provide on ETA on this. You can track the change log when updated to find out if this feature is added. We will provide more info on this as soon as we have any.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for that but you could use css and hide them on those pages on which you don’t want them or you could use a condition in the footer.php file and set them to show only on those pages: http://screencast.com/t/IRuaDNaHGemF
Either way you need custom work for this which we cannot provide at this time as we work on updates/development and support. I suggest you to get someone to help you with this if you need it and don’t know to do it.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
At this moment, doesn’t have other functionality but we have it on our todo list for improvements in future updates. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi,
Is not possible to modify that file via Child theme, I’m sorry about that. Only those files can be modified via Child theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/child-theme-documentation/
We will try to improve this in future updates.
Thanks for understanding!
Hi,
I will add this on our requests list and we will consider it for the next update, until then you can use the widget from bbPress or try to implement the solution posted here by @Lucas: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-ajax-loginregister-system/
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for your message and for understanding!
Ok, I will update you once I have updated my theme.
thanks

Hi Lucian,
I only want Ubuntu for titles. We will stil with Open Sans for post content. I will update the theme to 1.4 and then I’ll try it again.
In the meantime, thanks for helping out! 🙂
Hi,
@alezan If you take a look at the change log you will notice that the last theme update adds improvements, bpress support and also fixes bugs so it will be to your benefit to update it.
Please also note that updating will not affect the settings you’ve made to your theme, it will affect the changes you’ve made to the theme files though so I suggest you make a backup of your current theme installation then take note of the changes you’ve made to the theme files if you have done any then use the FTP method from the guide below and update your theme.
You can also use the patch if you update from the previous theme version and copy just the modified files but using it will also remove the changes you’ve made to the theme files if those files are among the one that have been modified during this last update.
If you have changes to the theme files you can use the child theme in the future to keep them as @Lukas suggested but please note that you will not be able to edit all files via Child theme, you can find here more info about this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/child-theme-documentation-newsmag/
Here is the guide on how to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, please use the theme update guide and use the FTP method and also remember to make a backup of your current theme installation so in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it. Here are the docs on how to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Please let me know how it goes!
Thanks

Hi,
our server has been overloaded in past by hackers, port flooding, bots reading all our pages 50x a day from Russia and China search bots.
CSF/firewall/IPtables on server protects against port scans, port flooding; blocks an IP for hitting your site 500x looking for vulnerability.
You can switch to default theme and not lose settings. Same thing as doing a site update, where you temporarily switch to default theme before updating the theme you’re using. I just updated to newsmag 1.4 today, switched to default theme, when I switched my theme back on, all settings still there. WP expects this behavior. 🙂
But yet … EVERYTHING you put on a sidebar, footer, menu which as to “go look and bring back stuff” is a dbase query.
You can look at the WordPress Codex also for topics on “optimizing database” and general info on how all the dbase queries work. But all those modules on home page are dbase queries, but it’s just one page, One million other pages with too many queries, would overload dbase, if all those pages were being loaded concurrently (all at once) such as a spider reading all your pages.
But your host can help you with stuff like checking to see if you’re being abused from external IP or not. Ideally you should be getting a daily summary for your server of intrusion attempts by IP, notes from server about FTP accesses, and if any of your hard drive partitions are being filled up.
But anyway, just some ideas. 🙂
Same here. Just updated to 1.4 yesterday (Jan. 10); no other plugins updated except the two plugins included with theme (speedbooster and social). WP 4.1, everything else up to date.
So, yes, looks like a bug.
I did manually minify my style.css, but that is just basic minification and doesn’t impact stuff like the bullet points.
In “theory” we might be able to do something temporarily like
ul {list-style-type:circle; color:#000}
Hello, I am also interested in the 1 day version, any update on when it will be available? thanks
Hello, theme latest updates it seems very various from the previews version in Function.php
Issue : http://screencast.com/t/WkGk0ESOhgy1
The Function.php it’s complete different from the theme previews version. I can’t make the images on 220X220 on module 11. Could you please explain me what files need to edit in this new version ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there.
I have tried 4 times with same result.
I overwrite the themefolder and the child folder except for the functions and style.css in my child theme folder.
But every time the sites turn white and no way to regain control not even through /wp-admin access.
Can you give me a step by step to update the theme
I actually appreciates the latest update adding bbpress support in particular, but I must make a note of the Ajax Login/Register System that’s not being Implemented – It really Disappoints.
Kindly add this in the next update cos most plugins works on desktop browsers and don’t displaying well on mobile.
I hope you get my point?
“You must be logged in to create new topics.” the “logged in” should bring the theme’s Ajax Login/Register.
I hope it wouldn’t take so long before this is done.
Thank you.
Hi Guys,
I am facing problem of making changes on the site.
It does not get updated when we get a confirmation that its updated.
For example if I update a ad , it does not reflect.
Can you advise why?
Thanks,
Nitin
Hi Can I do this from WP dashboard-Appearance->editor. If so can you give me more information to find as I have looked up and down the right side menu and can’t find as per yr instructions?
(i have changed it on my desktop files but don’t know how to update that online! but i guess i shall have to learn…)
As with all plugins, you update it by removing old version from plugins folder on your site and uploading the new version.
Ok, so long story short, I found out it was a plugin causing the conflict; GeoDirectory.
There is a partial solution at the Geo Directory support forum.
Now, this might go outside the scope of the theme support here but, maybe the theme is keeping the solution from working.
Here goes:
I uploaded a Disqus fork and child-theme functions.php code that works in parent and child theme with GeoDirectory off. When GD is activated, the solution doesn’t work. Here it is. In theory this should work, because the original hack, which this is based on, was all in Disqus and it worked with GD and Disqus active.
Reference: http://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/conflict-wdisqus-comments/page/2/
Disqus code mode:
if (apply_filters( 'dsq_can_replace_filter', false )){ return false; }// NomadDevs 13-Dec-2014
functions.php code:
add_filter('dsq_can_replace_filter','dsq_can_replace_begin_hook_change',10);
function dsq_can_replace_begin_hook_change(){
global $post;
if(isset($post->post_type) && $post->post_type && in_array($post->post_type,array('places','events'))){return true;}
}
So I’m still in limbo trying to make this all work. I don’t want to use the hack, 1. because I don’t know code and 2. as soon as the plugin is updated, the hack is gone.
Any insight would be a huge help. Thank you!
Hello
How do I update the plugin tagdiv social counter?
I have already updated the themes and visual composer, but do not know how to counter social.
I have the v.2.7 and the theme are the v.2.8.
I unzip the zip file directly in the directory? uninstalling the old version and the new upload?
thanks
Jose
Weird.
Ironically, we’ve decided this year to switch out Disqus and go back to normal WP comments to speed up page load and for privacy issues.
I just updated my theme to 1.4, and I am going to turn on the Disqus so you can test it right now, to see if it’s “just you” …
let me know, so I can then disable it.
try this:
http://ga-ga.com/166/40-something-and-counting-developing-cataracts-at-age-45/
Disqus plugin is active as of 12:16pm PST 1/10/15.
Well, I switched to the Newsmag parent theme and still Disqus is not working.
I did the Disqus setting of reset > then reinstall, each time. I’ve done that twice.
Wordpress comments always appear in between each reinstall on the post page, where they should be, but no Disqus.
I’m thinking this is a direct result of Newsmag v1.4 update.
I have a v1.3 Newsmag in staging and the comments are working just fine.
http://breakwater.staging.wpengine.com/story/featured/2014/12/dixie-belle-reborn/
But, the v1.4 Newsmag update is not working, as far as Disqus goes.
