I recently updated my theme but while accessing the Categories and Custom Typography sections in Theme Panel, options do not appear.
I’d like to change the width on the Module 11 thumbnail size. I have already updated my custom css to move the title and excerpt more to the right and I have also updated the Module_11.php and added it to the child theme with the new dimensions but when I do that it breaks the images. Even using thumbnail regen didn’t fix the issue.
I have also tried adding the correct code to the child theme functions.php but the images are still broken. I assume there might be another .php I didn’t update or havent updated the child theme functions.php correctly.
Could you point me in the right direction please.
My desired thumbnail size would be 267×178 for the module 11 thumbnails.

Right. You cannot auto-update the “bundled” version of the Visual Composer plugin which comes free with the theme vs spending $20 additional. The bundled version is only updated when the theme itself is updated, and is tested to be compatible with the theme.
1) you don’t need to put in a license key if you use the bundled version of VC that comes with theme
2) you cannot “auto update” the bundled version, as it’s not provided by the folks who make VC. Setting on the Visual Composer plugin can be ignored as they don’t apply in this instance – those settings would only apply if you bought a license to the plugin, so you can simply ignore them. 🙂
Kind of confusing, but this is how all the theme developers who “bundle” a version of VC with the theme do it.
Plus to that you save having to buy a license, and you can be assured that 99% of the time the version included with the theme will actually work.

I just discovered d probs here… Lack of understanding…. There is a funtion dat is located in settings > visual composer… And there there are 3 toggle pans…. Settings, shortcodes and one other…. The middle one u wuld see a box asking for evanton Api secret code… Evanton user name … And visuall compuer linecen key .. So u can get latest theme update direct to ur blog and dashboard from evanton.. Theme update nt visual compuser update..
Im having the same problem since i’ve updated to theme to the latest version.
Is there a fix for this?

You don’t need a license key for this theme.
You may find it useful to peruse the “documentation” for the theme.

You cannot “auto update” the version of Visual Composer which is “bundled” with the theme, as it’s a bulk license, not an individual license per user. The only way to update it is to wait for next theme update, which will have the tested/approved bundled/licensed version with it.

And why does anyone buy a theme that may not include one specific desired feature out-of-box? Because:
1) The expectation that CSS tweaks and/or tech support will help bring it about mitigates Customer Friction.
2) The other features outweigh the lack of that one feature.
The theme is amazing and lightening fast, I just don’t know why they didn’t include a simple feature 90% of the premium magazine themes have (in this case, going from boxed to full-width).
But since TagDiv actually listens to its customers and is known for making game-changing updates, I think it’s worth mentioning publicly.

Bumps don’t do anything.
The theme cannot suddenly cause something to stop working.
1) did you update something else recently that might have broken Visual Composer?
2) did you try removing the visual composer plugin (js_composer) from your plugins folder, then reinstall the version which comes with the theme?
YOU SHOULD BE USING THE VERSION WHICH IS INCLUDED WITH THE THEME FOR SITE TO WORK PROPERLY AND IT DOES NOT NEED A LICENSE. REMOVE YOUR LICENSED VERSION AND USE THE ONE INCLUDED WITH THE THEME, WHICH NEEDS NO LICENSE KEY.

If something “suddenly” stops working, this is due to action on your part or something you have installed, updated, or modified. The theme isn’t secretly changing things behind your back to turn things on and off. It’s not technically possible.
I’d like to disable megamenu so I can use the another plugin that is conflicting with it. If I comment out this line in includes/wp_booster/td_menu.php, it works:
add_filter('wp_edit_nav_menu_walker', array($this, 'hook_wp_edit_nav_menu_walker'));
But I want to do it in a way that doesn’t break theme updates. What is the correct remove_filter call that will remove this filter?

Please make sure you updated your theme right and also try making a backup of your current theme installation and remove all plugins and delete all theme files via FTP and copy the latest version’s theme files and see if you still have issues with this. Please make sure that you make your back-up before doing this as removing all files will also remove your settings so if you don’t backup you theme you will lose all of them.
Please let me know if you still have issues with this after you do as instructed as the theme should work fine and no layout issues shouldn’t occur.

First of all I’m not sure which theme you use you have posted this in the newmag forum and you site is using the newspaper theme.
1. That separator comes from here: http://screencast.com/t/xQQPRZDpoeA
You can remove it from there. You can find more info about the wp_title function here:http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_title
2. Indifferent of the theme you use, you have the custom typography section in your theme panel from which you can chose the font family you want for post content so that you post your content with the desired font.
Open Sans is added by default with latin extended support, for other fonts you can select from here what character subsets will be loaded for each google font from theme panel > custom fonts panel: http://screencast.com/t/AJkL5Nw2b
3. It should work fine, I have tested this using the 4.6 version of the theme, which is the latest and haven’t found any issues with it:

I can find the “backstretch” div which is adding the background image on your site so please make sure you do this right and also check his without plugins and update your theme if you are not using the latest.

I talked with BBpress support and they advised me to talk with you. I consider myself an above average WordPress user, but I couldn’t find a way to get rid of “|”.
2- I want to publish all my content in Open Sans Latin-extended (best for Turkish language) How do I do that? Can you please simply add “Open Sans Latin-extended” in the drop-down menu? I don’t want to deal with codes, tricks.. (pls do it in your next update, but until then please post a temporary solution here)
3- I was using a background picture, because this theme is all white and it makes my and visitors eyes aching. Because of that, I was using a background picture. From theme panel, I was simply selecting http://www.outdoorhaber.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/outdoor-haber-arkaplan-toprak-fotografi.jpg this as a background and using it in peace lol.
All of a sudden it disappeared in the frontend. I can see it in theme panel, I am uploading a new file, but there’s no way I can display a background picture for a week. What is the solution? (I am not using a cache plugin) here’s a screenshot of theme panel http://i.imgur.com/at23ydC.jpg

I would like to create a captioned photo gallery posting on Picasa or Instagram and so this gallery, which could be a widget, were updated on the site. Is this possible?
Some updates:
I changed background picture, made it bigger, but the problem was still the same with logo. The reason was margins in updated css file, they changed for logo depending on resolution, when i switched those margins to 0, the problem disapeared.
I also put social buttons to a separate div.
For now, i still have problem with logo in mobile view. There is just no logo there and header looks weird. It seems these things are related to each other. Can’t find on my own why is that..
And i still have a question about why is sidebar located after content part on mobile phones? Why i can see only left part of footer on mobile phones? Is it how the theme works or something else?

First please make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins you are using so make sure you disable all plugins laving just Visual Composer and Social Counter and also empty cache and/or purge files if you use any cache plugins or CDN host services and try again.
What theme version do you use as we have included the fixed version of the plugin into the latest theme update 4.6 so if you do not using it we suggest that you get the latest theme version from themeforest and you should find the fixed social counter plugin’s version within the theme’s files in the plugins folder.
