Not sure this helps or not:
Not all minification “plugins” do so correctly and is a known problem with ALL themes depending on the level of minification and/or breaking some code elements – not a ‘bug’ in the theme. If you wish the best possible result it’s best to manually minify the main CSS and JS files only. (See the PageSpeed sticky for my recommendations on how to do that, as I did. Downside, you need to do it each time theme updated, but only takes couple of minutes.)
With themes that are highly complex like this one, only “page cache” is recommended with the caching plugins. This is noted in the theme docs, also:

I’ve just updated to the latest version of this theme. Unfortunately the Sharing, Tags and Via/Source style isn’t working at all! It is not showing as the same as seen on demo. The new update is really great, I can’t wait to see it in action on my site 🙂

After I check my website with google tools I get folowing sugestion:

I think it will be good to have sitemap.
And I have another problem. I can make “Archive” page to work. I created custom link in the menu like “mywebsite.com/2010/”, but when I click that link on my website it redirects me on a Homepage. No archive page!

I set the home of my all website with BIG SLIDE. The BIG SLIDE did not activate the autoplay and also makes me all the news. How to enable the autoplay and how to filter the news by categories?

you can replace the files from Newspaper/wp-admin/content-metaboxes/ with the ones from that archive. Or you can wait until tomorrow when we release a new update.

I didn’t do a backup because the demonstraton in the video didn’t work.
I thought I was updating my theme up until now, but I noticed that I never updated my theme correctly using FileZilla – (my version of theme up until a few minutes ago) Theme name: Newspaper Version: 1.7.1
After I uploaded the newer version the new theme panel loads FOREVER
literally a few minutes (around 3 minutes before I can do anything)

Hi, I update theme from v2 to v3 on my client webside. everything is ok, but, two problem.
We need more custom ads, because we use custom ads on every category and subcategory.
Second problem is colors on sub-sub categories. We need to chage it. I fix this problem with import categories from v2 in Theme Panel. But we need to change it. For example Life (blue)>heal (red)>cooking (red)>chicken (pink) is posiible to change it?
And I find little bug. In Widgets, we are using TagDiv Authors box, and with update will be changed authors ID to link.

I would like to use addons for Visual Composer.
Unfortunately the theme version seems to be completely outdated.
“Ultimate Visual Composer Addons” for example requires v3.7.2 which was released at 8.12.2013.
Please consider updating the Visual Composer or provide a way to turn it off in Newspaper so that i can activate the pure plugin.
