First please make a full backup to your website, after that please deactivate all the plugins and child theme (the child theme need to be replace with the one from Newspaper X, this changes appear from envato requirements -> https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ ) after that make the theme update via FTP, you must delete the old theme and set the new one.

After you set the theme go in Welcome -> https://i.imgur.com/xaAMgVl.png and install the theme plugins, check the site and activate the rest of the plugins you are using.

Without the youtobe key api these will not work. If you have the Newspaper v10.3 please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

The Newspaper login does work, but I assume it has its own login code separate from the default WordPress login code?
If I try to login using the NewsPaper login, the login fails. But if I go to the wp-login.php page, I am able to login using my Active Directory user/password. At this point, my userID in the WP database has been updated with my current Active Directory password. If I then logout, and login again using the NewsPaper login – it is successful. It will be successful until my password in Active Directory changes, and I am trying to login with my new password.
The Active Directory plugin (NADI) has hooks into the WordPress login which validates a user’s credentials against Active Directory, and then updates the WordPress database with the userID and password (or just updates the password if the userID exists in WP already).
If Newspaper processes login requests differently, then the NADI plugin will not be compatible as the hooks won’t be there.
Am I correct in the assumption of how NewsPaper processes login? Is there any way to change this, or am I going to have to use the wp-login.php and disable the Sign in/Join link in the ThemePanel? I like the look of the NewsPaper login screen, but if it will never work with a plugin that validates against an LDAP directory, then I will use the default WP login method.

I’ve tried to update to Newspaper 10 but the design of my frontend broke.
Is it possible to update from version 9.5 to 10 or do I have to update to another version beforehand? Does the child theme also need to be updated?
How should I proceed here?

I just bought this theme and went into setting of the theme panel to change the logo and favicon but it doesn’t update it on the front end. I saved setting and my logo shows in the panel, but it does appear, only the dummy logo is there.
I am using an Active Directory integration plugin (Next Active Directory Integration – NADI). Not sure if there are conflicts with this theme or not. I am able to test the NADI configuration in the admin panel and it shows success. But I am not able to login with the login page, and the debug log does not update when I use the login page, suggesting that the login page is not using this 3rd party authentication plugin.
I thought that at one point I saw a toggle switch for using 3rd party login – I’ve been staring at screens all day, so I am not sure if that is actually a good recollection or not.
Does anyone else use this theme with NADI? Any suggestions on what to look for?

Unfortunately there is no option for this in our theme, also this can be achieve with some custom code or some changes in theme core (the changes in theme core will be overwrite when you’ll make the theme update).

A backup is created by your host. All the settings are held by the database from your host. This problem occurs from your host not from theme settings. Also as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ We DO recommend making sure that you are having a backup first, and also do the update on a staging website.
We understand your frustration but your issue is more related to a host issue not theme issue.

If you made custom changes in theme core/files then yes, is indicate to use a child theme, but also first make sure that this can not be achieved using the theme, in this way there should be no problems to update the theme.

If you do not made any changes in theme core there should be no problems to deactivate, delete and install again the tagDiv Composer.
Also if you do not want to do it, when will be the next update to the theme, you can make the update and the problems will be solved.

Hi, I just updated to the latest version of the Newspaper, from version 10.2 to 10.3. Beside having huge problems installing the visual composer again (I was lucky to have a old license for the composer), I now can´t use video list for Youtube, I get “Video playlist – A YouTube API key has not been provided”, but there is no way to provide the key. This was also before I updated the visual composer, so that is not the issue.
Update: I couldn’t get the date removed on the classy magazine demo so I switched to a different demo and the button was still not working. I added a plugin which now removes the date but it would be great if the actual button would work.
