I recommend using the single post template, and there you can achieve that. There is an issue with the sticky sidebar for posts that use standard template, which will be fixed in the next update.
For standard templates you can enable the sticky sidebar from Newspaper -> Theme Panel -> Template Settings -> Smart Sidebar

Hi Man Kam, those seems to be some attacks on the website and those are creating requests on your website.
Such attacks can take from a few days to a few months. Besides fixing the vulnerability issue in the theme more then a year ago, there isn’t much else we can do. Attackers can still attack websites if they want to. Any theme or plugin can have vulnerabilities at some point – https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/wordpress-themes/ and attackers will try to take advantage of it. Besides keeping the theme and plugins updated, a security/firewall plugin should be active on the website, or on the hosting side. This won’t stop the attack, but it will prevent the attack from being successful.
What you can do is to use Wordfence and CDN to block the attacks on “/wp-json/tdw/save_css”. If you are blocking the IPs that make that request on your website, then eventually the attack should end. But there’s no way to say how long it will take until the attack will stop. Sometimes it takes a few days, but it could take months until the attackers move on.

Hi Tagdiv, we are facing a big problem on our website, the CPU is hitting 100% as of this morning, with no changes, no plugin updates, nothing. We noticed that the majority of CPU time is spent on Tagdiv Composer, and disabling it removes the issue – what is going on?

Please try to update the theme version of the theme to the latest 12.6.6
Also, do a full backup of all files and databases before updating.
Also, please try to update the theme without extra plugins activated during the installation, as this may interfere with the installation process.
Also, after the update, please make sure the tagDiv plugins are installed, like tagDiv Standard Pack and tagDiv Composer.

I have a footer problem too. I have book reviews populate in footer too. They were in white text. With the latest update, the text turned black. The background is black. I can’t figure out how to change the text back to white or modify the footer color. Can you help?

Please don’t use the AMP plugin because it is deprecated. You need to use the composer, select the viewport for the phone and try there to fix the header.

You should download the latest version of it from the Theme Forest account and download it.
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
You could consider reinstalling the WordPress version, and checking for this plugin wp-zexit.php. It might be wise to inspect via FTP if it doesn’t appear in the WordPress -> Plugins. Additionally, using Wordfence to scan the website and remove unknown users would be prudent.
Change admin passwords and delete admin accounts you are not familiar with;
– Delete any weird/unknown plugins;
– Delete the weird/unknown themes;
– Clean unfamiliar Theme Panel injected code (example – https://i.imgur.com/4q70kCv.png);
– Clean WordPress files (example – https://i.imgur.com/stJCqiK.png)

If an attacker wants to target this URL /wp-json/tdw/save_css they can do so. Even if the website uses a different theme, the attacker can still try that URL. We could add an option to be able to enable/disable the Live CSS, it will be considered. But for now in order to remove it this can only be done with a modification to the composer plugin. Since recently I have been on charge of maintaining an old Newspaper 8-based site. Time to update since it does not support PHP and, lets face it, it needs to be renewed. Thing is that I have purchased version 12 but cannot update directly from version 8. I cannot donwload intermediate releases to perform a step-by-step update either as those are not available (or is there a way?).
How do you recommend to do the upgrade? I have created a copy of contents and moved them to a development server so I can test it out but I just get a lot of blog entries with no structure on them…

Yeah – We’re only using TD Composer for our homepage. All our post editing is using the classic editor and we don’t really update the post template all that often.
Hey All – We have a lot editors and we are a content heavy site and it seems that during our editorial cycle – TD Composer causes a lot of hits to our server when we update stories, etc. which will cause a traffic jam if you will of other processes. Is there a way to calm those hits down from the plugin?

I think I completed every step you listed, and reinstalled all the tagdiv plugins.
The theme is updated, and I have come across these issues. I can’t edit the header which is not displaying the logo, the content doesn’t display, as you can see there are blocks of code visible.
Also the widgets are broken. The theme settings seem to be saved, visible in the last picture. Is there a way to repair the page quickly?
